The IDF is doing what should have been done by the Lebanese government and the UN back in 2000 – disarming Hezbollah. You cannot have a “democratic” country while a separate organization has its own army, intimidates citizens of different faiths, not to mention while Syria assassinates your prime minister and nothing is done about it. If Lebanon wants to be a true democracy, then help Israel help you. Disarm Hezbollah from within and your country will prosper once again.

I am truly sorry for the destruction wrought upon your country but we, truly, had no choice in the matter. Hundreds of katuyshas have been raining down upon our cities for the past four days. The reason that the airport, bridges and roads were destroyed was 1. so our kidnapped soldiers can't be taken to Iran and 2. so Iran can't resupply Hezbullah. Those who say Isreal overreacted have to consider the following: a group operating from a sovereign nation crosses borders established by the UN into another sovereign nation killing some of its soldiers and taking others prisoner. If this was any country other than Isreal (most of the world hates Jews and Israel and therefore sets a double standard) it would be MORE than justified in declaring war. Lebanon is a beautiful country, in what can be one of the best location in the world and could easily be an international hotspot for tourism and prosperity.
