It's one thing to systematically destroy any emerging state apparatus in Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank). US support seems assured. At that point the current Pakistani state could easily be toppled if the resulting internal turmoil were somehow unable to do the job. Israel's "capacity" to defend itself is ostensibly premised on holding state authorities responsible for terrorist attacks from their jurisdiction. Exercising this kind of "self defense" only makes Israel more vulnerable by accelerating a very destructive dynamic cycle that is extraordinarily corrosive to Israel's security and its legitimacy. The threat to world peace and security is also clear and obvious. Both Israel and world peace & security are poorly served by the incompetent, unreliable, and toxically anti-democratic US regime currently in power.
