Running out of Lebanon, without a negotiated settlement, was the single biggest mistake in the last decade. Ehud Barach should be sitting in jail for what he did. It strengthened Hamas, made us look weak in the Arab world, gave Hizbullah UNLIMITED CAPABILITIES IN SOUTH LEBANON, got three soldiers killed and kidnapped (plus many other killed and injured by Hizbullah), gave us reason to once again release hundreds of terrorists for the criminal Tennenbaum and the three bodies, caused the Arabs to fire thousands of missles at the Jews in Gush Katif, set the stage for Sharon to run out of Gaza, causing the daily attacks on the South, the kidnapping of Shalit and murder of 2 other soldiers, and now, once again, the empowering of Nasrallah. WHEN WE WE TRY TO WIN MILITARILY???? And realize that showing you are weak makes the Arabs think you are weak, the greatest Chillul Hashem of all!

I agree that there should be an urgent cease-fire and political solution. However, this scenario assumes that you have reasonable people on both sides willing to come to a compromise. I am afraid that this is not so. Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation, whose puppeteers in Iran have no interest in saving either Israeli or Lebanese lives. Indeed, Hezbollah has yet to lose a life in this conflict; all they have to do is incite. And as the Lebanese Government deploys its own army to the south, and fires on the IDF, Nazrallah is fulfilling their plans to the T.

In future there cannot be such a thing as an 'army' living independently within a country as Hizbullah and Hamas (till the election). Automatically they must be part of that counties army. This will stop the comedy of Lebanon claiming it is not involved in the attacks. It was up to Lebanon to rule its country or resign if it could not control the illegal occupation. Hamas has been elected but so was Hitler, that does not make them okey and must be obliterated as well as Hizbullah. Israel is still pussyfooting around, why 3 attacks of the Hizbullah stronghold in Beirut, one attack should have levelled the entire building and why arn't Israel carpet bombing the south of Lebanon ) after giving an hours warning) else the rockets will continue.
