31. HEZBULLAH WON .... UNFORTUNATELY
JO ,   BEIRUT / LEBANON   (07.20.06)
I write from Beirut, from a city who refuse to die, I don't know what to say while seeing this real image Israel is showing and the hate they have for this country and not only to Hezbullah. Let me use my friend's words and remind you of these facts ... - Hezbollah is a widely shiite party whose popularity originates from its "jihadist" nature and not really due to it political stand out today. - The timing of the strikes of the so called "IDF" was the most "foolish" act, while the whole coutry was against Hezbollah and asking this party to drop down his weapons and deliver it to the Government, It preceded the conclusion of the Lebanese Dialogue process that strated to put Hizbollah in a cornered situation because some lebanese parties were aiming to finish Hizbollah politically and thanks to the Israeli strikes , it created a getaway for Nasrallah. - the harsh strikes of the Israeli forces that hit -as usual- the civilians simply rallyed many Lebanese behind Nasrallah and made him a hero outside Lebanon at the eyes of the Arabs and in the same time weakened the position of all the "moderate" leaders. In spite of all the attacks of the airplanes, still Hizbollah is succeeding to continue his resistance against Israel. IDF assumed that the structure and organizing capabilites of Hizbollah would fall apart. This did not happen., and will not happen because hezbullah has no location neither one address. - Economy can and will be restored and all tourists and Lebanese have left with bitter feelings , not against Hizbollah, but definitely against Israel. So even for the moderate arabs , you are just showing them what hizbollah has tried to convince them ages ago. Israel fell in the trap of Hezbullah and now Israel did and you're doing the dirty work for iran and Syria, and managed to give more and more reasons for Hezbullah to stand against all the Lebanese with a clear reason why they wan to keep their Missiles. Stop bombing bridges and airports and infrastructure, these are not for Hezbullah these are for the Lebanese people. Jo, …. A Christian Lebanese … if it means anything to You….
32. when will it stop?
nayeeda ,   Lebanon   (07.21.06)
I have written many comments before only one was posted!! the most clement one , the one that somehow serves Israel..not that i intend to do so..Israel is my enemy and I shall never forget, nor let the generations to come do as well. My opinions the unposted ones must have annoyed the editors..or made a lot of sense to them, they probably felt ashamed of what their ancestors and their goverment has done and still doing to our people..knowing that this one will not see the light too,it is a relief cos im sure at least one israeli will read it!! dead bodies are being transferred in plastic bags and refrigerated trucks like cattle!!! what atrocity!! what kind of brutality you people are made of?? and media PFFFT!! they go on and on aabout how haifa is being bombed with katyousha!! while you savages use chemical bombs and use us like lab rats to tests your new weapons...the day will come where you will taste your own medicine..I damn you..I damn you till the last one of you..God's chosen people RIGHT!! well even God is looking down now, thinking to himself,I really made a very bad choice!! you are Lucifer's chosen people and soldiers on earth... Karma will get to you, your sick children those sending love messages on missiles will one day receive the same sort of love. As a believer I pray to God to have mercy on you on Judgement day. and yeah guess what??! Hitler is still waiting for you and as we speak is warming hell up for your arrival.
33. When Will It Stop?
Michael ,   Israel   (07.26.06)
The only time when all of this will really stop is when you take out religion. It seems to be the root of all the hate i have read today on all the forums on ynet. God can take care of himself. its time that we did the same, there is no reason to be filled with so much hate. Where is all this hate really going to get us? Its not like being filled with so much negative energy is going to get us anywhere positive. Just the act of getting so angry is unhealthy. Words here on this forum are a good way to vent i suppose, but we all really have to remember that nothing we type here will make a difference in the war. The war will end when its time. The most important thing is how we heal after the war. We are all still human beings. It really time that all of us started acting like we had some sense. (Plus, I think that God could really handle anything he needed done. He won't need help from humans).
34. Disasterous Miscalculations
Stan Leonard ,   Calgary, Canada   (07.27.06)
Dear Alon Ben-Meir , Oooops, looks like Israel miscalculated today when they bombed the UN observational post doesn't it?
35. Freedom Fighters
John S. William ,   Washington, D.C.   (07.30.06)
Israel lives in a fantasy believing that stealing land, humiliating and abusing the rightful owners of Palestine will be accepted. The Lebanese and the Palestinians are not territorist. By be-littling others one can more easily justify the sub-human treatment of those resisting occupation. Until Israel stops being a wellfare state of America receiving over 3 billion in hand outs every year, Israel will remain arrogant. Sincerly , John S. William Washington, D.C.
36. too simplistic
Eli Golan ,   Israel   (07.30.06)
Dr. Ben Meir brings up few good points, but appeasing the Palis and wining their hearts is not one of them. The problem in the region is not Israel, but undemocratic, corrupt and rich Muslim leaders who are not accountable to their citizens. Islam has been hijacked and we will not see peace till the moderate voices in Islam are heard and listened to.
