The Palestinians brought with them a political system based on primitive tribal relations, where the power of one’s clan became a substitute for the law. As a consequence, Christians have suffered civil outrage and criminal violence without recourse to justice. Christians have been refusing to live under these conditions and have been leaving Bethlehem in large numbers. ....the Orwellian message of the American Arab Anti-discrimination Committee (AADC) that held a candle lighting vigil on November 29, 2005 for Bethlehem’s Christians at San Francisco’s Union Square... Of course, none of this appears in the AADC’s call for the candlelight vigil that is also designed to showcase the AADC’s divestment campaign against Israel. Indeed, just this week, the Vatican, in a rare diplomatic move, called publicly on the Israelis to intervene in Bethlehem on behalf of its severely receding Christian population. Now totaling less than 12% of Bethlehem’s population, Christians, who have been the targets of continual PA violence, might leave entirely. The result will be that in the place where Jesus was born there will no longer be a Christian community. In the West Bank town of Taibe marauding Muslims burned, looted and beat Christian residents in the name of a Muslim family’s “honor,” a family whose father had brutally beaten his daughter to death for wanting to marry a Christian. The violent Muslim mob burned a statue of the Virgin Mary and shouted, “Burn the Crusaders!” PA fire and security forces took their time arriving on the scene, appearing hours later. In the end, the mob was almost immediately released from jail. Please, open not only your eyes, but your minds & your hearts. I am a Lebanese christian. In our civil war, we have suffered from the Palestinians more than you can imagine. We have been suffering from Huzballah more than you can realize. And now we are paying the price for what our deadliset enemies did to Israel. There is nothing that makes us happier than seeing the palestinians & shiite militia completely dismantled. But will we live to enjoy that?. Why is Israel targetting us all? Remember, more than half of the lebanese never wanted HIzballah. But if it is taking so long for the IDF to wipe them out, what do you think WE can do to get them out of Lebanon? For more than a year the Lebanese government has been trying to convince the armed Palestinians at least to keep their weapons inside their camps. The results were 2 bloody incidents where innocent civilians were killed in retaliation. With Syria & Iran backing them, & nobody backing us, we are totally helpless. We are not "pussies", as some keep saying in this poster. During the civil war, the Lebanese christians defended themselves & fought very savage battles & won. I lost a dear freind on the battle front. But we were made to lay down our weapons. After we did, Hizballah & the Palestinians refused to do it. And now here we are, being bombarded so heavily by Israel. Maybe Israel & the rest of the world feel that it's ok to allow a million christians to die, if they can get rid of Hizbullah. Do you think it's ok? Is there any other method to "selectively" reduce Hizbullah to a harmless miltant group, without killing everybody else in Lebanon, & creating a more powerful & more terrorist bunch of Shiites after the war, for several generations to come.

In the civil war that ravaged Lebanon from 1975 to 1990, more than 150000 were killed, most of them christians. There are more than half a million handicapped. Not to mention the destruction & material loses. We fought very bravely. Our fight was against Israel's worst ennemies, the Palestinians, & the radical muslims supporting them. And now Israel is punishing us. It's like to get a sniper on the roof of a building, you destroy the whole building with all those inside it, knowing that by that time the sniper might be gone. WE don't have the military power of the Palestinians or Hizbullah, not the mention Syria & Iran, all combined together against us. We certainly don't have the military power of Israel. If we had any military power at all, we would have never had Palestinians, Syrians or any islamists among us. We would have retaliated against Israel agression. We might even have helped Israel get rid of the vermine in our country, but we don't have this power. We are as powerless as those innocent civilians who died, not knowing why, on September 11, in the suicidal bombings in Israel's cities, in Irak, in India, in London, & a lot more coming. To those who say that no negotiations are possible with terrorists, I say negotiation is posiible. As long as you don't beleive them!. Just play their game. And get them when they least expect it. NOt when they are ready for you.

There are always innocent civilian deaths in war. It is very sad. In an unprovoked act of war, Israel has been attacked from Lebanon. Israel must defend herself! Islamists throughout the Middle East and beyond, seek the destruction of Israel and a second Holocaust of Jews! In an act of great hatred towards the Jewish people, Israelis were also wickedly BETRAYED and were forced to take PLO TERRORISTS as "peace" partners through Oslo! I feel I should make some comments to what you told me in your reply 1st: Thak you for understanding our ( christian Lebanese) position. 2nd: Thank you for feeling the same disgust I felt regarding the insults, & hatred in all the posted comments. 3rd: I have always been aginst " confessionalism". I was in the US ( Miami ) for 5 years during my training as a doctor. Most of my closest freinds were jewish. Back to Lebanon, I also have close Moslem freinds. I never considered religion to be a pre requisite for freindship. Good people are good, regardless of their religion. And innocent people are innocent regardless of their religion. ANd right now, innocent people, children, ON BOTH SIDES, are being unnecessarily killed, slaughtered. It is hatred & evil, that is giving orders to kill, ON BOTH SIDES. I had felt the same sadness & sorrow that I felt for the death of lebanese innocent civilians, when I read about the man who was killed by Hizbullah in Haifa while he was trying to get something for his little daughter, about the 2 liitle boys who were also killed in Haifa, not because they were Arabs, but because they were innocent people. Let me ask you! Do you know what will happen to all those homeless people & children? They will grow to be full of hatred & we will have thousands of Nasrallah's & Bin Laden's to deal with in the next 10-20 years. I cannot accept that justice for a few can be acheived by the killing of many ( ON BOTH SIDES ) I can't beleive that there is no place for diplomacy to solve ANY problem. Hatred creates hatred.
