While I welcome most any step that would bring Gilad home safe and sound, giving up prisoner that have blood on their hands likely isnt the way to go. I hope it doesnt come to this, but I am sad I think it will. But, at the end of the day, to see Gilad alive and unhurt would put a smile on the face of his family and all the people of Israel.

Where's the logic here? If we release murderes and terrorists in exchange for one soldier (who's probably long-since dead already), who here can honestly doubt the released murderers will end up killing and maiming more innocent Israelis? No negotiations with terrorists, otherwise we best just march ourselves into the sea like they want.

I know what relatives feel. But in a case this claim is true and it will be fulfilled, Israel should be ready for a chain of abductions until last terrorist will be on loose. I continue to be amazed to what lengths Israel will go to save one Israeli life. Waging a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon, where many innocents die, must be wrenching for a society that values one human life.

This is not a Bruce Willis movie. This is real life. Sometimes you have to negociate. Anything that will bring peace is a good thing. We were almost out of the forest here. We should negociate for peace now and firmly declare our borders. This will involve signing permanent peace treaties with Hamas and Hezbollah, which seem to be really running their countries. We need peace by any means. Israel should be a place where any Jew can come and feel safe and at home.
