Being of Egyptian Arab Muslim stock, it is only after my parents came to Canada that they had the peace of mind to be able to think reasonably and objectively about the middle east situation. They started to realize that Arab countries with huge land masses wanted to wrestle a tiny strip of land from the Jews. They wondered if it were really worth the blood and hatred incurred to obtain that bit of land. They decided not. Also they realized the Palestinians had no land in the first place to claim and wondered why Jordan, Saudi Arabia or their other Arab brothers would not take them in. I have found many more questionable behaviors and motives with the Arab or terrorist cause and have re-thought the situation and concluded that since the Jews had given up so much for peace and that Arafat, a fellow countryman of my parents, ashamedly never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity for peace, that he did not really want peace until Israel belonged to he and his fellow terrorists. Yes reasonableness and the love of peace are becoming a hallmark of the Israelis. However they have been naive in the past expecting too much from a people who do not want peace and the only communication they give is from the barrel of a gun. How civilized and compassionate of your people to care for the injured Lebanese woman and other Arabs in your hospitals. Would they do the same? I think not. I do regret the loss of live of innocents in Lebanon, however they had been fairly warned for years to rid themselves of Hizbollah. Their sad condition now is a result of their non-compliance in this. I have followed stories of fellow Arabs that have seen that Israel is not the root of the problem, but is the innocent victim in the middle east. One such man is an ex terrorist Walid Shoebat who embraced Christianity and changed his views toward the Jews and instead of hating Israel, he now loves all things Jewish and Israeli. I dont mean to bag our forces but this is just one of the many tactics employed by the IDF in their propaganda war. I will be impressed if she lives. I remember something like this happening before when a Palestinian woman was injured(gaza), the IDF took her to be treated, but she later died due to "serious injuries". And about 6 years ago an arab woman was caught in a rock slide, somehow the IDF managed to evacuate all the jews but the arab woman was "out of reach". They have killed too many people already to try and save face now.
