1. Gaza "ceasefire"
Marcell ,   Northern Gaza border   (07.23.06)
The constant infighting and bickering amongst the Palestinian factions will do nothing to promote peace in the south. The cease-fire was announced effective Saturday midnight, and the first Kassam fell shortly after 6 am Sunday morning. Well done . . . . . . I am starting to get the feeling that the Palestinian leaders really don't know their arses from their elbows, and that does not bode well for their people. The IDF does not need "an excuse to continue the escalation" - may I remind you of our missing soldier Gilad Shalit, whom we will never abandon. Israel has made it abundantly clear that all operations in the Gaza Strip can be terminated immediately, conditioned on the release of Gilad Shalit.
2. Going, going - GONE!
Talula ,   Israel   (07.23.06)
We can step back and enjoy the show in Gaza now. They are bickering and bitching at each other and killing and fighting each other. They could well do the job for us. Once we have Gilad back - we really need to get the hell out of there, shut off the electricity and water and let them get on with it. And it IS as simple as that. They scream about occupation, but I didn't hear one, not ONE Palestinian tell us to get out of Gaza and take our water and electricity with us. Egypt can supply Gaza with the fundamentals, not us.
