2. Kassams and Katyushas our punishment for abandoning Gaza
Yakov ,   Ashkelon   (07.23.06)
G-d gave us land in Gaza, we gave it away. Now we are paying the price and being punished. What price will we pay if we give away Yesha? The end of Israel? Secular government leaders have no understanding whatsoever of the relationship between Jews and G-d.
3. Amen
w Amen
4. Baruch Hashem Rav Mordechai
5. who made him GOD!!!!
lebanese ,   land of the cedars   (07.23.06)
Excuse me but who the hell made him GOD?!?!?!?! people grow up & get a life! there will be no israel alone but israel with palestine in one country. accept that & let us be over with all wars. Jesus is our savior!
6. Stupid Message from a Stupid Man
David ,   Yerushalayim   (07.23.06)
So now we should decend to the level of the child-murderers and not be concerned about our conscience? This is his Torah message? It is precisely our conscience and our desire NOT to be child murderers that enables us to triumph over our adversaries. Every Jew and every Israeli soldier knows that. This guy is a moron, who deserves NO respect for the continuous flow of extreme Right-Wing political garbage coming from his dumb mouth under the guise of Torah.
7. Trying to divide the nation once again
Daniel ,   Haifa   (07.23.06)
When all Israel stands together in the face of rocket attacks, Eliyahu is once again trying to divide the nation. All he's interested in is scoring political points. I'm a religious Zionist and all my religious friends are DISGUSTED with the behavior of the little extremist pishers like Eliyahu. Even a Messianist nut like Eitam wouldn't come out with something like this that only serves to divide us in our time of crisis. Eliyahu brings shame upon the Torah.

Rob ,   usa   (07.23.06)
AMEIN-AMEIN,make TESHUVA and start back into walking in TORAH!
9. #6, 7 - I'm with you -- the man is a MORON

10. #5- Before that, the Arabs/Muslims must accept Israel and
M├írcia ,   Brazil   (07.23.06)
prove that they mean it. This will take a long, long time, if it will ever happen at all. Saddly, not even the Arab Palestininans are interested in having a country, only in destroying Israel.
11. Judaism
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (07.23.06)
Another example of Jewish arogance towards the rest of humanity, no problem to kill and also children but this idot forgot that Arabs don't hide behinde women but you do in your F-16's and abatchi and you are not able to eliminate a fighter untill you get the blood of many many other around them ... dirty Jewish freeks that killed god's prophets and come to say that we are better then the rest as god made us the chosen one, BS and peace will be a dream for you till judgment day come ... cry on your wall for kind david kingdom but no peace and no great Israel from the nile to the eufrates ...
12. To : Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (07.23.06)
You are a pig !!! A reglious figure never asks for death of children, maybe children of Israel, specially the ones that right on the bombs "to children of Lebanon" die but suffer as much as possible before that. Being Jewish really suxs and you are a perfect example.
13. "a wolf remains a wolf"
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (07.23.06)
and a Jew remain a Jew, he well sell his mother to get to his aim, imagine giving you a word !!!
14. And a Libyan Guy...
David ,   Yerushalayim   (07.24.06)
Will run away to Italy because he has made his own country such a nice place to live. The amazing thing is how people who DELIBERATELY target civilians, and never even bother to pretend otherwise, are now complaining about how many civilians in Lebanon have died. The hypocrisy is astounding. Of course, this article proves again what an idiot Eliyahu is for advocating descending to the level of these people who murder children deliberately.
15. YNET - Why publish #11 & 13
Jonathan ,   USA   (07.23.06)
The postings by "LIbyan Guy", #11 & #13 are nothing more than hate speech directed squarely at Judaism. Do you believe that such comments are appropriate?
16. #15 Why publish??
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (07.24.06)
Because Ynet believes it should be "liberal democratic, politically correct and opened to all opinions" even at the expense of pure antisemitism, which promotes anything else but insecurity amongst the some already worn out israelis. Their "rating" is alll what they care about, not caring about the adverse effects it has on the israeli public who read this. I would say its egoism ,which YNET would call "proffesionalism" for cover up. ynet rather banns rightwing opinions
17. #16
David ,   Yerushalayim   (07.24.06)
what right-wing opinions has ynet banned? that's a serious accusation, so please enlighten us...
18. #17 mine, on a number of occasions!
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (07.24.06)
and BTW, these rabbis are not "begging " to have arab civilians killed, they just say that if they are used for human shields, and at the same time we have to kill these terrorists, well then too bad for their behaviour and "customs" to use them . Not that it should be the preferred policy - got it? Dont forget the ONLY ones *they* target are your mother and my cousins in Haifa, so be carefull
19. Who fits the glove
Moslim Girl ,   Hollan   (07.24.06)
Why blame arab people to purposely kill children. You think the jewish act any better in the Palestine region? In a war people get killed. I'm very sorry it can't be any else. But don't be a hypocrite thinking your side of the war is a clean one.
20. #19 "Moslim Girl"
You conveniently fail to make the distinction that Muslims deliberately target civilian women and cildren in your "suicide -shahid- bomber" attacks, while the IDF kills non-combatants when they -the civilians- have failed to heed the warnigs that the IDF gives a good 24 hrs. before an attack. This puts the responsibility for Islamic civilian deaths squarely on the shoulders of the Islamic people themselves.
21. I agree with all of them words,100%!
keren ,   sao paulo   (07.25.06)
22. David Yerushalayim # 6
keren ,   sao paulo   (07.25.06)
"It is precisely our conscience and our desire NOT to be child murderers that enables us to triumph over our adversaries. " Wrong statement. If avoiding to kill an enemies' child(many times used as shield),prompts an Israeli soldier's dead(or many civilians's deaths),that's not a triumph but an enourmous Israel's loss. It is not intelligent, at all, acting like that! First you save yourself,THAN...and only THAN ,you can think on others lives.
23. Nicly Said Rabbi
Sam ,   NY, U.S.A.   (07.26.06)
Amen. Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu is a true Rabbi, he deserves the greatest respect, if only he and others like him would be in charge of Israel Israel would trully be a Holly, safe, glorious nation. (p.s.- you "jewish" liberals make me laught, expecially since you dont know anything about the Torah, and try to back up your argument using it)
24. To daniel
aaron   (07.27.06)
What ashames me is that you call yourself religious. If you were not a complete Am Haaretz you would know what Chavod must be shown to a Tzadik, and that every word he speaks has sources in the Torah. Whereas the foolish liberal "religious" Jews like yourself wouldn't know a Jewish idea if they tripped over it. While I hope you are only an Am Haaretz , rather then a compIete Kopher, will try to enlighten you. Start learning, start with Rambam Hilchot Melachim to learn about REAL Jewish government and what is to be done to those who live in the land we conquer. You and your friends may hate Rav Eliyahu but I doubt you can bring one Rishon who holds non-Ger Toshav Goyim may live in Eretz Yisrael. I daven for the day a true Jewish government will arise so Am Haaretzim like yourself will no longer show your ignorance and foolishness out of your lack of fear for Hashem and you terror at the thought of angering the Goyim.
25. Merkaz HaRav -- bad translation
Yehoshua Friedman ,   Kochav Hashacar IL   (08.03.06)
The real name of the yeshiva is HaYeshiva HaMerkazit HaOlamit, the Central Universal Yeshiva, founded by Rav A. I. Kook zt"l, first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisrael. It is called Merkaz HaRav because in Religious Zionist circles in Israel HaRav (the Rabbi) refers to their original mentor, Rav Kook, much as Yeshiva University students and graduates refer to Rav Soloveitchik zt"l as the Rav.
