Israel has lost supporters like myself but not due to money and irrational thought but rather to witnessing the incredible arrogance and cruelty of the Israeli/American policies in the Middle East. We are free to obey Hashem's commandments or to be indifferent to them or even actively rebel against them. Our actions have consequences, consequences for the individual and for the group. We ourselves often bear some responsibility for the bad things that happen to us as individuals. Also, if ten people are in a boat and one of them bores a hole in the bottom of the boat, the boat may well sink. Furthermore, the actions of the first man, Adam, greatly influenced the world. His disobeying Hashem's commandments strengthened the forces of evil. Part of the work of believing Jews is to counteract those forces by performing the mitzvot properly.
