2. We will not get salvation from gentiles only G-d
(07.25.06)
3. Salvation from God???
Tom ,   Bsas, ARgentina.   (07.25.06)
I´m jewish but not a believer. Where was God during all the years of persecution? Where was God during The Holocaust? Why Would God let a Hitler or Stalin to be born? That´s Stupid. We Jewish we can rely only on ourselves and in some good christians of good heart who helped us during World War 2. Israel is the same: Expect to be understood by Europe? HELL NO. By Spain... By Germany, By UK? Long Live Israel, Long Live IDF.
4. This is nonsense -
Shosana ,   Munich   (07.25.06)
Are you honestly thinking that the conclusion is plausible ?
5. Jealousy is indeed a "deadly" sin

6. #3 Sad how a fellow "Jew" is only Jewish ethnically not
(07.26.06)
Spirtually, without Hashem as the core of being Jewish, you wouldnt be a Jew just another gentile. Without Hashem, we would have no Israel, if we have no religous connection with Eretz Yisrael then we really stole the land from the Arabs, but if you and all the Jews believe we own this from Hashem Almighty, then we have not stolen it but rather retook what was orignally ours. Maybe its all the assimilation in Argentina where you dont even know what it means to be Jewish. I recommend this video to expose you to how amazing you are to be a Jew: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9215573308877374512
7. Anger with US support of Israel
Karen Hurtubise ,   Hayesville NC USA   (07.26.06)
Israel has lost supporters like myself but not due to money and irrational thought but rather to witnessing the incredible arrogance and cruelty of the Israeli/American policies in the Middle East. I am horrified by the Bush Administration and their support of the Israeli government tactics in Lebanon and towards the Palestinians. Two of my best friends are Jewish and I will seek refuge and defend their children and any Arab children I have a chance to know versus fanning the flames of violence and war throughout the world without mercy or compassion. Dont blame my shift in attitude on the drive for economic security and comfort but rather a seething tempest brewing over my country's support of injustice and perverse war on Arab people. I already know how little regard will exist for my opinion--similar to the spin zone on the Israeli soldier who bulldozed an American student . There was no remorse from the US or Israeli government and I will not forget Rachel Corrie and her message. Despite the media effort to squelch her play, My name is Rachel Corrie is finally coming to NYC and someday the injustices suffered by BOTH sides of the Middle East equation will be seen. Right now we mainly get the wierd Israel/Right Wing Christian Conservative end of the world partnership PR here in the Southeast, so be pleased the US media is still effectively scapegoating the Arab world if that is what pleases Israel. I weep for the bombing, hatred and violence on all sides but see Israel and the US as the most powerful bullies and am ashamed of my country's lack of wisdom and compassion.
8. Idiotic article
Ethan ,   New York   (07.26.06)
"Affective Encryption Analysis, which was recently used to predict the outcome of the 2008 US Presidential election, uses naturalistic research methods to measure the way in which “feeling-trends” develop over time. It then forecasts the likely behavioral outcomes. " This sounds like an parody. And I'd be interested who they predicted to win in 2008. If it's Hillary Clinton, then we'll know it's time to throw this big computer to the curb. If anything, the continuing war on terror and growth of evangelical Christianity are making Americans more sympathetic to Israel, not less. Notice that every single politician across the spectrum supports Israel. When Americans complain that all their money is going overseas, they almost always mean Iraq. I don't think most Americans know or care how much money we're spending on Israel.

14. Ominous trends...a new feeling trend study...
deborah ,   boston, USA   (07.26.06)
...indicates an ominous trend that by late in the day on July 26, 2006, most people will have dismissed this article as complete crap and gotten back to reading the real news.
15. Karen, no. 7, you're mistaken.
Steve ,   Tennessee, USA   (07.26.06)
Karen, you fail to realize that Israel was the victim of a unprovoked attack by Hizbullah that killed 8 soldiers and kidnapped 2. That is the equivalent to 480 deaths proportional to the size of a country like America. The bombing of Lebanese targets is wholly justifiable militarily. Roads must be blocked to prevent the resupply of missiles to HZB. Their facilities in Beirut must also be hit. Israel is showing incredible restraint in preventing massive civilian losses. I see that you did not condemn the barbaric and inhumane missile attacks on Israeli civilians. Jewish life is always cheap and not worth much to extreme left-wingers like yourself. Karen, this is a war between the Judeo-Christian world vs. Islamic-Facism. What side do you want to be on? The Palestinians under Hamas, HzB, and many in the Arab world want Israel eliminated from the Middle East. No negotiation is possible with them. The children of the Holocaust will, however, not give up so easily.
16. The media should be used to convey the truth
Michael ,   Atlanta, USA   (07.26.06)
Dr. Herndon emphasized the need to be proactive. “Media exists to manage feelings." That attitude is a big part of the problem.
17. Pseudo science
Hocus Pocus ,   World Citizen   (07.27.06)
I agree with the writers' premise that there is gowing animousity towards Israel and particularly the influence of powerful forces on American foreign and domestic policy. It is not just the lower economic strata either. Managed perception will no longer work with the internet. That is the issue not the hocus pocus posing as science to back their observations. They have an ear to hear the people and they can't cite that as their science instead they lie about some BS analyis. BTW it is not the Jewish people that have to fear it is the elite that have been abusing us all that are to fear this growing realization of who the enemny is.
18. Victimology & Collectivism
Eliezer   (07.27.06)
Victimology IS the science of fascism as practiced by the regressive left, their proxies and fellow travellers. The greatest irony is, while Hitler and his Nazis were blaming and scapegoating the Jewish people, they, the Nazis, WERE invading, plundering and murdering their neighbors. The fiction, brought on by Corporate Cartel Collectivism, the IRS and their partner in crime, the Fed, are all responsible for the devaluation of human creativity and energy which are the basis of all true wealth and capitalism. The truth is, Corporate Cartel Collectivism DESTROYS CAPITALISM which is the foundation of the American Constitutional Republic. Also, it is a sad quirk of human nature, most people would rather be "rewarded" as servants, than "compensated" as masters. Founded by masters, Americans have become a nation of servants, some better rewarded than others. Sooner or later slaves rebel and the predatory and complicit elites always search for convenient scapegoats to take the heat. Anti-semitism is about privilege and power. Embracing the Jewish concepts of liberation FROM emotional and spiritual bondage, and freedom FROM physical slavery, two great American founding principles, could/would once again serve America far better than a hatred of the Jewish people. Unelected groups like the CFR are far more to blame for our present situation than any number of Jewish people. If America embraces anti-semitism to any significant extent, this will only serve to accellerate Americas demise. Only with the defeat of the Axis powers did Americans preserve a significant degree of freedom in the world. Think about it... The real reason why the Nazis hated Jews is, because the Jewish system of morals and values are diametrically opposed to all fascism, which include both Communist AND Nazi collectivist schemes. The real danger for Americans today, is they emotionally fall for taking sides in this collectivist Hegelian dialetic/drama between global and national collectivism. American founding principles reject both. The people must return to and enforce their founding principles.
19. #15 Steve
Big Bill   (07.27.06)
Fascinating! As a gentile I always understood from Israeli rabbinic authority that 10,000 gentiles were not worth a single Jewish fingernail. According to Steve, it seems the ration has changed to 480 gentile lives being worth 8 Jewish lives. Maybe in anolther generation or two we gentiles can work ourselves up to a 10 gentile worth 1 Jew ratio. That would be nice.
20. Predicting anti-Semitism in US, Germany
Don ,   Bethpage, USA   (07.27.06)
It is up to Israel and the West to show how \Radical Islam has it's roots in Nazi connections. It is all there for the reading. From the Supreme Jerusalem Imam at the time of Nazism to Yasser Arafat'a and Saddam's relatives, it's all there! Educate, Educate, Educate! The fact Islamo fascism has connections to and roots in Nazi friendship and ideology, indicates the problem between Israel and Islam predates the creation of modern day Israel! It is also up to Israel and the West to stress more and more that global hotspots not related to Israel are in fact embedded with radical Islam. If Pakistan has a right to exist as a Muslum identity, then Israel has no less right to exist as a Jewish identity, and make known it is the only Middle East nation in whom Christianity is actually growing as opposed to rapid declines in EVERY MUSLIM NATION! Every western nation must also see first hand the videos of kindergarten children taught to love martyrdom and sing songs of destroying Jews and Israel! Western Television must bring to light the wicked cartoons sanctioned in government controlled press of Islamic nations that are the most hate filled rumor infested propaganda that takes place in the Middle East weekly. So much for the Mohammed cartoons, Jews have been the target of this hypocritical behavior form the Islamic nations for DECADES! Educate, Educate, Educate! To the degree this does not take place is the degree to which the West is complicit in what is to be!

Brian ,   Little Rock, USA   (07.27.06)
Why do you monbats always try to spin what someone is saying. Steve was only trying to put the 8 soldiers killed by Hizbullah into perspective in terms of percentage of the population. Again - the bottom line, as Steve so perfectly said it - "this is a war between the Judeo-Christian world vs. Islamic-Facism. What side do you want to be on?" PERIOD
22. Economic concerns - anti semitism
cc ,   berkeley california   (07.27.06)
Something stinks here. I read it, certain aspects sound plausible - others do not. First, why the U.S. and Germany - not say, he U.S. and some-other-country? 2nd, who, living on the 'margin as this piece describes, is going to know squat about geopolitics and how they relate to local/State/Federal/Personal economics? Not trying to b condscending - certainly there are those in the lower econnomic strata that have a grip on what's going on - but that is the exception, not the norm. And just how are these people on the margins going to spin this newly found knowledge into violence? Sorry, but this sounds like typical SPLC ethnicity-baiting to me...
23. Trigger Anti-semitism
Meg ,   Philadelhpia, USA   (07.27.06)
Nobody is going to blame the Jews for an economic downturn unless they are led to this type of (un)reasoning by an outside force. Most people believe what they are told, so it would be fault of the media if there's any kind of uprising.
24. Brian, #19
Hedge ,   somewhere in US   (07.27.06)
Israel was not the victim of a unprovoked attack by Hizbullah . Israeli reserve troops enterered into Southern Lebanon and were captured, not kidnapped. Propaganda has been hard a work making everyone think Hezbollah started this - False. Your "either with us or against us" attitude is frightening and part of the problem.
25. To Tom
Martin Riley ,   Canada   (07.28.06)
Hi Tom. To be Jewish to is love and serve God. The I AM, the God of our fathers is the God of our people. You said where was God when Hitler killed so many Jews? God was was not standing by as Hitler wiped out the Jews. God was moving on the hearts and minds of men to fight for what was right, and crush Hitler's evil empire.....and so it came ot pass. I believe in the prophets Tom, and I believe God will preserve Israel, even through the terror to come as Isaiah has said it will in the last days. Many will die, but as a people, we will endure. May God be with you Tom, and may you realize the God of our people loves us and will continue to preserve us. Psalm 83. Marty

Martin Riley ,   Canada   (07.28.06)
Nice theory. However, Hezbollah has already stated themselves that they tunneled into Israel, attacked the outpost, and captured the soldiers to be in solidarity with their Hamas brothers. They also stated they were a little surprised by Israel's reaction, as they expected some lop sided prisoner swap as has taken place in the past. Maybe the jews were using their mind beams on the leader of Hezbollah when he said as much? lol Anyway Hedge, in the USA your free to believe whatever you wish, even when it's very absurd and not based in reality.
27. To Tom in Argentina
Jay ,   Israel   (07.28.06)
Hi, Tom - Your questions are important ones but rather simplistic. The Torah answers them quite clearly. Here is a partial answer. The Torah teaches that Jews have free will. We are free to obey Hashem's commandments or to be indifferent to them or even actively rebel against them. Our actions have consequences, consequences for the individual and for the group. We ourselves often bear some responsibility for the bad things that happen to us as individuals. Also, if ten people are in a boat and one of them bores a hole in the bottom of the boat, the boat may well sink. Furthermore, the actions of the first man, Adam, greatly influenced the world. His disobeying Hashem's commandments strengthened the forces of evil. Part of the work of believing Jews is to counteract those forces by performing the mitzvot properly. The Torah teaches that in the end, evil will be defeated.
28. To Meg in Philly
Jay ,   Israel   (07.28.06)
Hi, Meg. I think that in the U.S. there is a lot of latent hostility towards Jews from many quarters. These people are still on the fringe at present. You will not see anti-Jewish sentiment expressed in mainstream media, for the most part, but it has hundreds of forums in the alternate media, including especially the Internet. The Arab-Israeli conflict provides convenient cover for anti-Semites seeking a cloak of legitimacy. Check out the pro-Palestinian sites, for example. Invariably they include Jew-hatred, often resorting to the Protocols and other such material. It would not surprise me if some of the American anti-Semitic organizations such as the "Black Muslims" received funding from Iran, for example, or from other enemy countries interested in causing social conflict in the U.S. It is wise to remember the politics of envy, too. "Jews" as a group are perceived by many to be more prosperous than gentiles. (We "control the banks", after all.) However illogical it may be, it is natural for people to be envious of someone who seems to have more. If economic conditions deteriorated in America, the people who were hurting might not think so logically. They could be easily swayed by Pat Buchanan, for example, or by any of the fools claiming that Israel "did" 9/11. If there are more major terror attacks in the U.S., as the authorities predict there will be, many may incorrectly see Israel as "responsible" for "causing the Arabs to hate the U.S.". The argument that Israel causes Arabs to hate the U.S. is flawed, but since when does the average citizen base his political decisions on fact and not on emotion? If the time comes when masses of unemployed Americans are looking for a scapegoat, there are plenty of career anti-Semites ready to foist the Jew upon them as an easy choice. I think this is not such a remote possibility, and it is one of many factors that influenced me to move to Israel.
29. Anti-semitism in US & Gr
Johnny ,   L.A. USA   (07.28.06)
Another nonsense fabricated by high-level US Jews to oppress the poor and the ordinary in the US!
30. hey Don #20, educate,educate,educate??
jason ,   texas   (07.28.06)
Don I'm going to venture a guess that you've just been way to busy with blarring your "educate, educate, educate!" mantra that you haven't allowed yourself anytime to avail yourself of the resources out there on the internet that contradict EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR CLAIMS! STOP YELLING "EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE!" AND FREAKIN EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!
