31. economic concerns
trainman6 ,   SSM Canada   (07.28.06)
If this article is true, as i know they can predict trends to some degree, then we better hold on to our hats because the ride is going to get bumpy, to me we are on the verge of economic collapse anyway, we can no longer sustain our standard of living or put this kind of pressure on the enviroment musch longer.
32. There are good reasons no other news outfit has run this
Stewart ,   Berlin, Germany   (07.28.06)
How can one blame the public for falling for such palpable nonsense if a supposedly responsible news outlet is this gullible? Other than the original sources (PR Web and Emediawire; the latter apparently belongs to the former), no one but Ynet seems (fortunately, so far) to have found it credible enough to publish. The most interesting coincidence (if that's what it is) related to this story would appear to be what one finds if one googles "Wagner-Forum: Januar bis Juni 2000," goes to the cached version and then searches for "Herndon." Just don't jump to any unwarranted conclusions. It could be entirely innocent. Geman readers will note the forum contains many respectful references to victims of the Holocaust and commenters both acknowledging and distancing themselves from this problematic aspect of the composer. This doesn't mean Herndon's ideas have merit; in an interview on PR Web he is quoted as saying "Encryption means that we encode our emotional reactions in quantum-like bundles," which is a very silly and nonsensical thing to say.

Humanity is one...when one part of the family suffers, the entire will family suffer as well. You cannot contain the violence and breakdown that would follow this sort fo scenario, not in this day and age.
34. Nonsnese
Dave ,   Wichita, USA   (07.29.06)
This just another weak article that quotes an obscure organization without any varifiable statistics. The groups the article described in the US and Germany are the vary groups dependent on hand-outs and are manipulated by the mainstream media. It is time for some facts, not speculation. If the reporter really intended to present something newsworthy, there would be comment on the methods of the study, its statistical validity, etc. The author, however, accomplished the objective of creating doubt regarding the support the regular "joe" with continue to give the IDF.

Dave in Wichita wrote: "If the reporter really intended ..." What reporter? Did anyone see a name attached to this piece as author? What evidence is there that any journalist was involved in this? All the evidence is that there is nothing behind this other than a press release paid for by Dr. James N. Herndon, who has been quoted (in an interview emanating from the same source as the release reproduced by Ynet) as saying that a higher cause could arguably justify a pernicious use of media. I'm wondering whether for him there is such a thing and, if so, what it might be.
36. Karen from NC

Hi Karen, I'm also from NC (Indian Trail, Union Cty, outside of Charlotte). I think you should keep in mind that a Jew never blew himself up at an embassy or on a crowded bus to protest his state. The Arab countries are full of terrorist organizations who are destroying the capability of freedom in the world. The Arab leaders need to take responsibility for this. Israel needs to provide a safe place for its citizens. And this right cannot be taken away through misplaced morality.
37. No, this is correct.

My study shows same . . .

Do you really think that there is any point in trying to educate that person? It is truly unbelievable that these people would even consider that Islamic terrorism/facism/blahblah has its 'roots' with the Nazis is patently ludicrous. You may find this of interest?
39. What about Mel Gibson?
New York City   (08.05.06)
I have been thinking that the US could easily turn on Israel. Many believe their actions in Lebanon are a bit over the top. Mel went all anti-jewish, and some in the media when asked showed their anti-semitism with comments about the destruction of his career. Americans do not have a clue, but if you read, you can see it.
40. a note from a hater
vvvvvvv ,   Mt Carroll, Illinois   (11.24.06)
Hate is truely in the air - it is palpable and growing - it is world wide. A growth in anti-semitism has always been a barometer to register hatred. In our time hatred is inclusive, manifesting in each and all of us, one way or another. None is immune; its symptoms are often subtle yet no less venomous. You better watchout, it is pandemic and there is no sanctuary. The distruction of hatred is a singular act. You can't even afford to hate hatred -- just stop. Your hate will kill you.
41. anti-semitism wrongly identified
john newson ,   bovec, slovenia   (09.23.07)
the author and the originator of this research have wrongly conflated anti-Israeli sentiment with anti-semitism. The two are distinct. Israelis have an uncomfortable manner which tends to make them unpopular. Furthermore - rightly or wrongly - many object to their politics, blaming much of the world's ills on perceived Israeli intransigence and cruelty towards Palestinians. Jews are just people.
42. We do know the difference
HPS ,   USA   (08.02.08)
. . . between Israel, the diaspora, the Likudists,"the Jews," Ashkenazis, Sephardics, Hebrews, Jewishness the culture, Jewishness the ethnicity and Judaism the RELIGION. Militant Zionist extremists benefit from the conflation of these terms and the confusion that results among the "goyim." Example: Any time a Gentile uses a Jewish-identity term in one (otherwise Jewish approved) manner they're accused of using the wrong one (no we meant the OTHER one!) and slapped with the "anti-Semite" epithet, a trigger word designed to shut down the brain and close off reasoned debate. It's a no-win situation for even the most well meaning Gentile. A very clever catch-22 has been set up. But not for much longer. Most of America (and Europe) have grown wise to extremists and their attempts to control "the goyim" (a racist term if there ever was one) with divide-and-conquer tactics. Maybe Gentiles have good reason to be angry at these extremists. Maybe the ordinary Jewish person just trying to live his life in peace shouldn't take it so personally. Maybe INSTEAD the ordinary Jewish Person (defined in whatever way that suits you, because I have given up) could speak out against the extremists instead of acting like handwringing narcissists every time "the goyim" express anger, hurt and bewilderment at being treated like stupid livestock. Israel gets $3 Billion plus per year from the US alone and we still get nothing but bitchbitchbitchbitch from militant extremists demanding moremoremore of our blood and treasure, as if everything we had would somehow never be enough.
43. anti-semitism
