Hezbollah had to expect a response from Israel for kidnapping soldiers, and if they didn't, this is a good chance for Israel to show them not to mess with IDF. But as much as defeating the hezbollah would help, things will be quiet for a while but then come back. If the Hizbulluh is defeated Iran and Syria will just give them weapons once again. Look at the numbers of deaths as of now..... the Israelis are the ones in the planes bombing anything that moves. They target the people that try to get out of Lebanon, civilians, babies (1/3 of the death count as of now), even the UN. Don't forget of the UN facility that was hit in ANA in 1996. All of these are not mistakes, someone is watching and we will all be judged one day. Israelis have lots of blood on their hands.
