Anyone can find on the Russian sites the number of civilians killed in Chechen wars: 160, 000. During WWII, after Germans bombed London, the allied air forces carpet bombed Dresden, killing 300, 000 civilians. When Japan refused to surrender, USA dropped 2 atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the war ended. Even recently, during Ugoslavian campaign, the NATO forces fiercly bombed that country. Abridge full of people, a hospital, a train and a radio station were bombed from the air, killing 5,000 civilians. A war is a war, and Jews didn't start it. Nobody has a moral right to request restraint from Israel.

I do not agree about what Chadi has said and he apparently pulling with israel because simply he is racist to muslim, can u see that too? However, Hezbollah has taken their decision of war volantarly without consulting with lebanese government and Israel has over-reacted by killing innocent people and pretending hitting hesbollah targets. And my cousine was seriously wounded by one of Hesbulla's Katyushas. She lost her leg and her face is disfigured. Her 3-year old daughter is with relatives who have to deal with her daily "where mommy" cries (her mommy is a single parent). This is just one example of the many wounded on the Israeli side. Just because Israel respects the privacy of its wounded civilians and does not want to expose the population to horrific images, such as the ones published in Lebanon, does not mean that the situation in Israel is not catastrophic as well!

#44 your opinion is good. Withdraw from the occupied territory, that’s the best option. Hate will only breed hate, look at the world bodies and superpowers; they were not able to solve this conflict. If Israel wants peace they can have it fair and square, the other players in this conflict are not in a powerful position to wage war on Israel. It’s absurd to think Israel, militarily the most powerful nation in Middle East cannot make peace with Palestinians, who has yet to form a nation. And with Lebanon/Syria when compared, Israel is much superior and advanced militarily and economically. I just wonder why is there no peace all this time? I guess Israelis should ask themselves whether their governments are in view of a lasting peaceful solution. As always war means lots of business for people in powerful positions and companies who want to get rich in the Israeli society.

I can't believe that people are actually giving into the idea that there can ever be peace among either side...Israelis and Arabs. All the way back since the begining there has been tension and distruction. Do you honestly think that by Israel deciding to hold back, give in and offer peace that the hostile arab groups will say, "okay, you're right...we'll leave you alone for good. Let's call it a day." No way! And if you think so, then you're naive.
