thank you for teaching me.... is everyone only Israel, Syria , Iran and Hizbullah....( i did not say i hate europe or USA (though i do not support its politics)) there are more than 200 nations in the world....90% of them are crying for peace ... war cannot destroy terrorism....do you think that children who have left their homes with fear, who are living underground instead of playing...will forget...I think that you are preparing for the future generation of what you call "terrorists"; you are sitting on the beach in Florida under sun radiation....you cannot understand what is war even if you see pictures....

Israel has already ended the occupation of Libanon and Gaza, did it help? But most of all, who to talk to? Abu Mazen is to weak and even the moderates in Hamas lost control. Offer a solution, I went to the bombshelter 15 times today.

In my response to your talkback I didn't even mention bombing Syria, and while I did not live in the MId-East for 20 years, I lived there for almost 5, and have studied the subject,in school, and out for at least 20 years. Unlike you, I don't pretend to have a crystal ball and be able to see into the future and give a solution that will solve the problems there. It may be that there is no quick fix for the hatred emanating from the arab world (and elsewhere) for the Jewish people. I do know that for Israel to show weakness is tantamount to national suicide, and what you propose may not be weakness as you see it but to Israel's enemies it most certainly would be seen in that light. I hope that the Israeli people and their leaders won't be willing to bet the farm on the idea that if only we give them what decent people in the west think that they want, they will finally accept us in their midst. That is a chimera, and always has been.

Have you looked around lately? Have you noticed that what used to be a State called "Israel" is being returned to the land of fear? USA, by his COW BOY Bush is driving us like cows & taking us to the hell, taking our sons and brothers to fight in Lebanon and than they will be killed in this land of death. Wake up, please, and ask yourself why Olmert and Peretez and even Bush do not send their sons and daughters to the north to fight the ennemy.
38. To MK-Its just show that you dont understand this
Emily ,   Tel aviv   (07.28.06)
area and 'the situations..when you understand that giving the arabs lands wouldn't solve the situations because they want all israel..and if you don't believe me go back in time few years ago of what arafat said..."throw the jews to the sea".. and you know what..we gave gaza and what we get in return??? bombs in askelon and sederrot and sucide bobmbers...so get real! tha arabes only understand power and if they see you are week thay will take advantge of it..
39. Hiz and Hamas Cannot be Eradicated!
(07.28.06)
You people here do not understand who you are talking about. Both movements are very strong because they are popular movements. Their elements are the people of the region. Their goals are noble, liberating their lands, freeing their prisoners, protecting their people. If such movements did not exist, then we should really question such nation that would not phase such movements under the circumstances that the USA/Israel oppression and occupation creates. I know you do not understand. However, I lived in the middle of these people, and I know what they are after. They are not terrorists, and they are the best most heartful kind lovely people. Just like your soldiers are. But against an enemy that threatens them, they are real men! Don't ask Nasrallah to come out and call him coward when he doesn't. I dare George Bush go to Baghdad without his hundreds of body guards and all sorts of Security Measure. He always goes on surprise, and stays only briefly. Same goes for Olmert, let's see him walking down Gaza's rubble!! Give over.
40. important is to do & not speak like a ......
lebanese ,   Bint Jbeil   (07.28.06)
i would like to look at peretz & what he feels if his family lived in north israel or south lebanon or if his sons were on front.after 16 days of battles & such losings 15 killed soldiers & about 40 wounded to take one small village , i imagine how much you need to make a buffer zone for 30 km as Olmert said in the begining ,after he reduced it to 6 km & at last he said that it is sufficiant to be 2 km

the enemy of "these" people in Lebanon is Syria and Iran which is leading down the path to hell. in Gaza the "enemy" is all the arabian and international interests who have used these people for far too many years as tools for victimization. grow up and recognize that "your" warring and evil ways will only get you killed by your "enemy" who is stronger than "you" and more courageous than "you". to the contrary, Israel cannot be eradicated. better have tried, better have died.

And you understand the conflict better Emily ? Maybe I should learn from your extensive wisdom :)
43. Amen to # 11
jp ,   Fredericton, Canada   (07.28.06)
Your answer to # 5 is good. Your english is not the best but I know what you are saying and I say amen brother! I read Psalm 83 every day now for Israel !
44. Thank You IDF and IAF We Love You
Mary ,   USA   (07.28.06)
and pray for you hourly. We know this is difficult and that you are paying a very high price. You are justified in this war. You did not start it, but you will finish it. Be encouraged, Let G_d be your strength and guide. Let His wisdom guide you. A test it is and you will pass this test. Besides the obvious justification for your show of strength, we are indebted also to Israel for bringing us G_d's Word. This is why we pray for you now. That is why you also have our support in prayer every day. Peace upon Jerusalem
45. Defense Min Peretz & IDF Chief of Staff Halutz
Mary ,   USA   (07.28.06)
Thank you for staying the course. We pray for you for G_d's divine guidance through this awful time. Thank you for making the tough decisions, you are an example to the world as it watches.
46. Response to Ahmad #7
Simon ,   Miami, Fla.   (07.28.06)
The only reason you and your kind are still around, Ahmad, is because of Israel's humanity and restraint. Israel has the power to turn the Middle East into a glass factory and destroy every vestige of of its enemies. But, it keeps its cool and hopes that one day you would come to your senses and live in peace. It does what it has too to keep civilian casualties minimal. And what do you do? You respond with hate and shield yourself behind women and children like cowards. One day the time will come when Israel is pushed far enough and you will all regret the day you were born. And Israel can finally live in peace.

AJ   (07.28.06)
This is Bush's war? Really? You truly amaze me, you sly devil! Hizballah attacked/ murdered our troops and kidnapped two. Then they proceed to launch katyusha rockets into Israel. Let's not forget about the Iranian soldiers who were helping hizballah fire their rockets into Israel found dead in Lebanon. Now you're telling us to negotiate with islamofascist thugs who wants to wipe us from the face of the earth? You have an active imagination! You've been watching too many Star Wars movies. Your jedi mind trick is not working. Save it for the galactically stupid! May the "farts" be with you!
48. Thank You Defense Min. Peretz
Liba ,   United States   (07.28.06)
Thank you Mr. Peretz for doing the hard job of being Defense Minister and helping Israel through this difficult time. It's been a steep learning curve for you. You not only talk, but you also walk a tough line. Thank you for that. May G-d continue to be with you, protect you and guide you in serving Israel.
49. If you keep killing civilians
John ,   NZ   (07.28.06)
you're only shooting yourself in the foot and lose. Looks like Hizbollah is winning the media war.
