Hizbullah won as soon as we slammed into Lebanon. Even if Lebanon is reduced to a rubble pancake, the moment there's a cease-fire Hizbullah will be back, as near to our border as they can get. The type of rockets supplied to them will be different to compensate for whatever distance they need to travel, that's all. The government will have to find other, as yet unexplored ways of ensuring quiet borders. It will have to start cultivating subtlety, a quality not usually found in these parts. Olmert now needs to take his army boots off, put his thinking cap on and look for much, much better advice than he has been getting from the IDF's top brass or George W and crew.
