It's my belief that there is no such thing as an American Muslim, or a British Muslim. By definition they live in these countries but are not really, apart of them. They do not hold American values, they are not Americans and never will be until the learn to integrate. I live in a largely Indian community in Sunnyvale and it's extremely rare to see Muslims shopping outside of their own special stores or eating outside of their restaurants etc. I shop at all locations, I'm a transplanted Brit and and happy living along side people from all over the world, but if they ever want to be accepted then they need to integrate.

I am an IDF disabled Veteran and served in the Golani Brigade were i was wounded some years ago. I lived in a settlement named Maleh Levona near Nablus for 8 hard years with plently of terror of all kinds happening everday and death monthly. Later i moved to Jerusalem and served in the police while still serving in a combat Army reserve duty unit, till my wounds worsened and today i am at 44 in a self rehabilitation program where i am teaching myself a new trade (filming and editing films) in the hope of being able to lead a somewhat normal life..something like yours there in America but acording to standards here. I have seen everything that can happen to a person by acts of terror only too often, i have contact with Arabs and Jews of almost all walks of life, i am a Likud member which for you who don't know is moderate right wing. In Israel we have more terror than crime killings, in America you have more crime killings than Terror. Due to the fact the assailant is of Arab decent and the ones attacked were Jews doesn't make it a political issue of a hate crime, Many perps use many topics and groups of people to give meaning to their sick acts of agression and crimes taken out of the hard working and innocent.
