If the family who lives down the street from you allowed Hezbollah to use their home as a base from which to fire missiles at your house, what would you do? The press in the U.S. seems to be shiftihg away from irs usual stance of blaming Israel for everything. The trend is still negotate a prace. None of the press seems to realize that negotiation with Islam is fruitless. Mohamed negotiated peace treaties and ten renounced them when it suited his purpose. How can you trust Islam when its founder advocated such tactics.

You wouldn't see so many civilians killed. I mean the Israelis are going into these towns on the southern border and fighting Hizbollah fighters hand to hand rather than simply leveling the enemy positions. Why? To prevent the death of innocent life. All that said, the Israeli dude on CNN is saying they have film showing rockets being fired from the area they bombed today. It's too bad that the Lebanese allowed this cancer to take over their country but you can't blame the IDF for hitting back - unless you have the position that the IDF should simply take the missile attacks and kidnappings that Hizbollah orchestrates and do nothing in response.

Why this current phase of a long war? How can it stop? It seems that rockets were launched and soldiers were kidnaped. The fighting started to get the soldiers back that were taken from inside their country. Many voices are blaming the country whose soldiers were kidnaped for trying to get them back. If the people realy wanted the fighting to stop it seems like they should be telling the ones who kidnaped the soldiers to give them back. If I'm not mistaken Israel has said that if the soldiers are returned and the armed people who took the soldiers are moved away from the border they will stop fighting. To stop the fighting I implore the ones who have kidnaped the soldiers to return them. I remember a time in the past when someone was keeping people captive and they were told to let the people go and because they didn't terrible disasters came on the land. Let me say it one more time, Let the soldiers go! Maybe we are all making important decisions right now about what is just. May God help us make the right decisions.

Criticis of Israel are the lapdogs of terrorists. Islamic terrorists hide behind civilians and murder Israeli civilians, while the world remains silent. Israel defends its citizens and soldiers, and the hypocrites of the world unite in condemnation of Israel. That's absolutely right. No amount of appeasement will stop these muslims from hating the "infidels"(i.e. anybody who is not muslim). Simple comparison: Islam celebrates the death of people (glorifying martyrdom, willingly targeting civilians, allowing their OWN PEOPLE to be used as shields). Judaism celebrates life -- from Jenin to now, targets are tactically chosen, precision weapons are employed, even Israeli troops are sacrificed in order to minimize civilian death (otherwise they WOULD just daisy-cutter the entire cities). Simple difference that leads to different emotions. The press enjoys further death because it gives them something to do and gives them more readers.

Israel needs to man up and go in with a full ground invasion. These air strikes are only killing civilians and making the enemy more determined. This is the same mistake we made in Vietnam. You have to get the boots on the ground and go face to face with the enemy. Their hesitation of taking casualties is understandable, but that's the only way they'll ever win. As far as the Lebanese are concerned, they're reaping what they've sowed. It's terrible that so many civilians are being killed, but these are the consequences for supporting Hizballah. They've had every opportunity to disarm Hizballah and they have chosen not to. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

Israel is NOT fighting Hezbollah on the ground, that is why there are so many civilian casualties. I find it humerous that all of the war crimes the Nazis were hanged for are now being done and supported by people in the US. If Israel would stop harassing it's neighbors and strike a REAL deal with the Palestinians, this would all be over. I guess it was fine for everyone when Israel was being attacked daily and didn't respond. They have done everything required of them in the peace plans, yet strangely no one else is living up to their end of the bargain.

Don't forget they have dropped bombs on Arab towns such as Nazareth too. AS a Jew that has spent much time in Israel I have always considered myself to be with the peace camp. This, however, is a very different situation and Israel must root out this radical villian.
