Hama, in Syria killing 30,000 –40,000 of its own citizens with an air bombardment followed by artillery and tank fire in 1982? Instead of rebuking Israel, he and all the liberal lefties should APOLOGIZE to the Syrian people for that "terrorism" and atrocity committed.

Once you view this, you understand exactly the game being played by Iran, Syria, Nasrallah and Saudi Arabia. Don't be fooled by the Islamic jihadis - their goal is our utter destruction. Crush Hezb'allah wherever they are found. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6162397493278181614&hl=en

18. Isn't this the proportionality they whine about?
Stephen ,   Raleigh   (07.30.06)
Seriously. Where did they think this argument leads? Bomb for bomb, terror for terror. Why wouldn't Hezbollah's apologists fully support this kind of proportionality? I know I do.
19. missing the point
brad a. ,   Brooklyn, NY   (07.30.06)
I don't like Hezbollah or Syria as much as the next guy - but Israel has to STOP. Killing 37 kids cannot be pinned on anyone but IDF. It is negotiation time, PERIOD. Enough, enough, enough!

21. Hizbullah - forcing innocents to stay?
Lauren ,   New York   (07.30.06)
These poor people were given notice to get out, but as they stare at the picture of their terrorist leader on their living room wall...they stay, are they being forced to stay? Maybe. The world needs to understand that Israel would never target civilians. The Hizbullah are animalistic terrorists and they need to be stopped, by killing them just as they kill innocent people
22. It takes one to know one
MR ,   US   (07.30.06)
The beauty of all this is that he is right... Israel is acting brutally and in the same manner as Syria has historically.
23. Lebanese gov is culpable
abc   (07.30.06)
OK, so the Lebanese gov and military are too weak to take on Hezb as an organization. But, are they so weak that they can't even evacuate ONE BUILDING after the village was warned to evacuate? If they are afraid to defend their country against terrorists, fine. But, they can't even mount a community effort to evacuate potential targets? What kind of people sit on their ass and do nothing, then blame somebody else every time they have a problem?
24. Arab perverse Public Relations = Qanna
Liba ,   USA   (07.30.06)
..."Qanna massacre shows the barbarity of"... the Muslim terrorist "public relations" campaign (a 'reality check' of Assad's inaccurate accusation). It is widely known by the world that Hezbollah, etc. use women and children as their shields, firing murderous weaponry from among these people to target and murder the citizens of Israel . This is one of their tactics. Hezbollah repeatedly attacked Israel from the very building where these women and children were housed. (Israel has video of this). Put the responsibility where it belongs, on Hezbollah (Assad himself) and like-minded groups, not on Israel.
25. Any time soon the other monkey from Iran will talk
Mike ,   Israel   (07.30.06)
26. Cynical Exploitation
Dan ,   Tel Aviv   (07.30.06)
The Syrian president has apparently forgotten the treasured history of his own country when his father ordered the annihilation of the town of Hama on February 2, 1982 after the insurrection of the Muslim Brotherhood. Were the 25,000 people, mostly civilians, who were killed in this massacre responsible for the insurrection and attempted assassination on the elder Assad's life? Probably not. Many in the Arab world believe that the use of human shields is a divine right. Terrorist organizations care not for the lives of innocents, even if it's the very people that they feign to protect. It is therefore imperative that they be stopped before they acquire weapons of mass destruction. The concept of mutually assured destruction (MAD) is thus meaningless so long as Israel fights an enemy possessed with a Jihad/Shahidist mentality that seeks to exploit civilians in the most cynical and deadly way. When will the Arab world (not to mention Europe) wake up and condemn this barbaric exploitation?

30. Trouble with these Arab countries is
Talula ,   Israel   (07.30.06)
They just love to dish out the dirt. They love to kill and destroy, they get off on blood thirsty violence. Thing is, they don't have the monopoly, as they are finding out now. Three weeks ago, these people were still alive. Relations between Israel and Lebanon were never great but there was a relative quiet. Until Hizbullah decided to disturb the peace. That's why he is called Shake Nasrallah, he shakes things up then runs and hides behind babies. He killed those people today because he is a coward.
