Do you think i'm a hezbollah lover? Do you think I see you as the ultimate evil? Do you think I personaly want those lebanese prisoners back? Believe me I don't. My enemies are Syria & Iran. I have no one else but the sea to turn to. People involved in this conflict are full of hatred. did you ever asked yourself why hezbollah ever existed? Violence brings violence and hatred brings more hatred. Who do you think the sons of those dead today would turn to in the future? I don't want those murderers back from isreali prisons, but if this is the price to pay for peace I'm willing to pay it. If shebaa means nothing to you, give it away. Just don't give those people any reason to exist. you and us are paying a huge price for details. Finish this once and for all, we're fed up from wars. Thanks for your reply, I hope the vast majority thinks like you, the world would be far more better in the future.

This story is clearly not invented as I know this dear boy personally. What a tragic loss.
34. Michael Levin
J ,   PA   (08.02.06)
Michael was a hero. He lived and he died doing exactly what he wanted to do; defend the rights of Jews everywhere to live in a free and democratic homeland. I knew Michael, and I know his family. Just so you all know his last name was Levin, he came from Langhorne, PA (near Philadelphia) and he has 2 sisters (no brothers). May his soul be blessed and his name be remembered forever. B'shalom

Jordan ,   Richboro, PA   (08.02.06)
Anyone willing to serve and risk their life for the state of Israel should be seen as nothing but a hero. It takes immense courage to do so. Michael will not be forgotten and his sacrifice for Israel is not in vain. I can only hope there are no more Israeli soldiers who have their lives stolen by these cowards. Thank you, Micheal, for helping defend the land of my mother and myself. Rest in Peace.

Michael fought for what he believed in and lived true to his heart. He held a deep love for Israel and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect it's people, it's land, and it's right to exist. He will be desperately missed but never forgotten. My love and thoughts are with Michaels family, wonderful people all.

40. #32 Ron thank u for ur input
mother ,   israel   (08.02.06)
I read what u said and u were right..i cud sit here and dispute for hours abt nothing..but u are right! Violence does breed violence, even tho i am sitting in the shelter with my kids day after day, I know that what is happening now will only continue to happen unless and until real and lasting peace is achieved, based on mutual respect and understanding and not on fear. It is a shame that there is so much hatred on both sides..you are right we are all fed up with wars...Ron I am sorry for the loss of innocent civilians..there are no excuses for the loss of life anywhere. I hope maybe this time (finally) we can settle this dispute once and for all..so that ur children and mine can envisage a brighter and happier future for themselves and not one based on fear/hatred. Good luck 2 us both!!

So Hisballah, part of Lebanon government, started this war, Now you want Jews to give Hisballah everything they wanted, terrorist from prison, some land you do not have any right for, to show that Jews are peaceful. What if once Arabs/Muslims show that they are peaceful? Disarm Hisballah, return Israeli soldiers, then you will have peace.
43. A Priviledge
an anonymous Mourner ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.04.06)
I had the sad priviledge and honour to join over a thousand mourners to escort this wonderful passoinate young man on his last journey. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to meet this idealistic and honest person, an example to us all of goodness and purity. May his memory be a blessing and comfort to his family, friends and all of Am Yisrael. Rest in Peace,

You asked-"how many people more you want to see dead before understanding that this is not the solution ? for what? I'm not a hezbollah fan and i don't know if I can trust israel either... read Israeli newspapers searching for people who share this common vision, and what do i read? posts like #2 & #13." Like the American-born immigrant who died, I too moved to Israel and briefly served in the army, though not in a combat unit and I am currently back in the USA. Like this young man, I love Israel very much, but unlike him I was never a "fighter", although I appreciate and admire his sacrifice, and am sorry his life was taken from him at such a young age. Please understand that the people who wrote the hateful comments do not represent all Israelis or Jews. I am truly sorry for the innocents who have been killed by Israeli attacks. While I definitely support Israel's right to defend itself in this chaotic situation, I believe that *some* (not all) of those deaths could have been avoided. However, you are being unfair when you select a few extremist statements made by Jews and Israelis and state this is the tyoical reaction. Remember, Hezbollah rockets are killing our people, and we did not start this. True, more Lebanese civilians are being killed than Israeli civilains. I prefer no innocents die, but if innocents must die, I prefer that fewer of my people die than yours. That is not racism, its natural. If you look at the comments Arabs and their supporters make, you will see more extremism from them! "Israel showed its strength, Hezbolla will drop its arms after prisoners swap, return of shebaa." Why should Israel hand Hezbollah the victory of "regaining" She'baah--especially since, despite the rocket attacks, Israel is inflicting massive casualties on Hezbollah fighters? Also, why did Hezbollah suddenly demand the return of Shebaa Farms She'baa only AFTER Israel withdrew to the internationally recognized border in 2000? Stop this nonsense. If any one has a claim to She'baah Farms, it is in Syria. I propose that Israel should offer it back to the Syrians, see if they take it, and if they so desire they can offer it to the Lebanese. I still believe they refuse to acknowledge it is Lebanese territory!
