11. We could obliterate anyone at anytime.
Johnson ,   USA   (08.02.06)
I would not want to be on the receiving end of US firepower. So, I would think twice before opening Pandoras Box on us. By the way, everyone knows the French are bunch of cheese eating surrender monkies anyway.
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.02.06)
Terrorist Hizbullah is a member of Lebanon's government, with seats in the cabinet. Lebanon's government colluded with Hizbullah in unprovoked, vicious acts of war against Israel - about 2,000 rockets have been fired on northern Israeli cities. Haifa, Israel's third largest city, is under regular rocket barrage. Over 2 million Jews live in bomb shelters. Israel's tourism industry has been drastically affected. Prime Minister Siniora on Sunday, July 30, 2006, publicly thanked terrorist Hizbullah for its sacrifices in the war against Israel. Hizbullah has purposely embedded themselves in densely populated civilian areas in Lebanon. Hizbullah shoot from inside mosques, hospitals and schools in south Lebanon. Hizbullah ruthlessly uses human shields to protect rocket launching teams who set up rockets and other weapons in basements of apartment blocks, schools and mosques. Images show Iran's proxy, Hizbullah, using high-density residential areas to launch rockets:,,19955774-5007220,00.html Hizbullah, fighting a proxy war for Iran and Syria, and Lebanon's government share sole responsibility for causing all of the deaths, injuries and damage wrought in Lebanon and Israel. Every nation has the right to defend her citizens. Rabid Jew-haters continuously seek to deny Israel the basic human right of survival. The Innocent Bystander Myth Evelyn Gordon, THE JERUSALEM POST July 20, 2006 ...Far from being smuggled in without the government's knowledge, weapons earmarked for Hizbullah arrived openly in Beirut Airport almost every week - and the airport, unlike southern Lebanon, is fully controlled by the government and the Lebanese army. Yet the government never ordered the army to confiscate these shipments. Regular arms shipments also came overland from Syria. Yet these, too, passed openly and without hindrance through border crossings controlled by the Lebanese government. The Lebanese army has even openly assisted Hizbullah during the past week's fighting. Hizbullah's successful missile strike on an Israeli naval vessel Friday night, for instance, would have been impossible had the army's radar stations not given Hizbullah the ship's coordinates. Hizbullah does not have radar stations of its own. Far from repudiating Hizbullah's attacks on Israel, the Lebanese government has actively defended, facilitated and assisted them at every turn. There are thus no grounds for treating it as an innocent party in this conflict....

15. Crushing Hizbullah defeat
Hans ,   Germany   (08.02.06)
Kofi and some Europeans cry for Ceasefire because they are too eager to avoid a crushing Hizb. defeat.
16.  2, I do not call France the "world". Get lost.
17. #2 France - It's about time to surrender? :-)

18. No stopping now - finish the job...
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (08.02.06)
...that both the cowardly french and UN (led by Kofi and his cronies) dare not and/or cannot do. After all, the best they can do is to appease the terrorists and condemn anyone who dare to do things that reveal their (french/UN's) impotence
19. ceasefire?
Paul Filler ,   Ada MI USA   (08.02.06)
I am not what you would call a practicing Jew, but my blood is the same blood and my memory is as sharp of your past as yours. You are not fighting my fight as some Americans seem to think. You are fighting your fight which is more important. I bleed when you loose a Jew in this fight and I feel pain when you feel pain. Do not stop what you are doing until all who are in reach of you are dead. Do not take too many prisoners, I have learned from my own countries problems that it is better to kill on the battlefield and show compassion only after your enemy is dead. G-d speed you all. Paul Filler Ada MI USA
20. World War III?
Joseph Kaufman ,   Jerusalem   (08.02.06)
You can't consider a conflict a World War until France surrenders, like they did with WWI and WWII, Having the French man the mutlnational force is a way to guarantee that we know if we are in a world war or not. Let's see if they surrender.
21. Continue
Rick ,   Greensboro, NC   (08.02.06)
Continue your fight until the enemy is vanquished. It is a good fight, a righteous fight. The world will be a better place without vermin who want nothing more than to enslave the rest of the world under their lunatic ideals. You may not know it because our voices are drowned out by self righteous liberals in this country who yell above all others to only make themselves feel better, but you will always have the steadfast support of the slumbering giant that is the silent america.
22. Peace Keepers
Jon ,   Milwaukee, USA   (08.02.06)
Do not under any circumstances include French peacekeepers in this international team. There is no way they would do anything forcefully. They will be no better than the U.N.
23. Wallowing in freakish misery
Void ,   UK   (08.03.06)
Wow - racist remarks seem to pass as comment here. Anyone notice that this possible UN plan gives Israel pretty much everything it wants (except for the more radical notions of extending its border to the Litani)... but completely ignores the two primary goals of Hizbollah - namely the return of the thousands of Lebanese being held in detention in Israel, plus the return of Lebanese territory annexed by Israel? Can't see them agreeing to it.
24. ha ha
Greg ,   LA   (08.07.06)
"At end of long day of discussions with US government officials" yeah, right. Loooong day discussion that looked like this: Israeli ambassador: "US, dogs, shut up" US Government: "Yes, Master"
