Olmert is Hizbollah's best friend. He will fight them in Lebanon, then give them the west bank for nothing in return. Olmert must have a very serious mental problem to even consider his convergence plan after this Lebanon war and the disastrous Gaza pull-out.

These missles don't do any lasting strategic damage (although I don't mean to minimize their impact on individuals they harm, the psyche, the economy, etc.). The IDF is handling that pretty well, and probably will find a way to do it better next time. No one is going to invade Israel. Your borders are secure. Longer range missiles are a real problem, but what are you going to do? Invade Iran? It's the demographic timebomb in your house already (to keep with the house divided analogy) that Olmert has also got to keep on eye on.
