So, a new record for rockets launched in one day. Is this evidence of IDF failures? Probably not. It may mean that the rockets are being fired before the launchers are overrun. Look at the statistics for rockets per fatality in Israel. Not very effective at all. I think that it has come to an issue of "use them or lose them" even though they accomplish nothing.

It seems that the next Arab - Israeli war (may be Israel - Syria war) will look completely different. What the 5000 men Hizbullah is doing against the entire Israel is remarkable and an important factor in the possible end result of any future war. The Israeli warmachine with its massive air power, tanks, artilleries and thousands of IDF members seems to be unable to crash 5000 strong militia even after 21 days of relentless pounding (even with DU munitions). Hizbullah is still able to rain down hundreds of rockets into Israel. One should not be therefore carried away with the experience of 1973 or 1967 Arab-Israel war any more. Those days are gone. In any future Israel - Syria war, Syrians will resort to striking Israel with its massive arsenal of missiles. Syria will be devastated by Israel undoubtedly; but so will be tiny Israel. I also fear that Syrians may try to strike sensitive Israeli installations like nuclear reactor and other toxic facilities in Israel, although it may harm them as well. But who knows? When faced with imminent destruction, Syrians may not sit idle with its missile stockpiles. No level of aerial or surgical bombardment against Syria can destroy its entire missile launching capability. It was thought to be so in the past, but it is no more the case as it is being manifested in South Lebanon. Availability of missiles in Arab hand has thereby changed the perceived scenario of any future Arab-Israel war.

Where do you suppose they're sending the missiles? If you are attempting to indicate they are aiming at military targets, you are either asleep or an obvious propagandist. Are you serious? So the IDF has deployed somewhere around 13,000 troops and is systematically clearing a buffer zone, but this is all they have? There is nowhere near the full force of the IDF being deployed. For argument's sake, let's say Syria has 100 times more of these "miss"-iles. So that would threaten Israel with some 3,000 dead. But so what if Syria had all advantages, this make the present struggle all the more crucial.
