Human thought transcends into reality. You consciously think to let go of hate and stop the violence and it happens. Two countries that do nothing for the peace in the Middle east. No one in Israel want to go war. It does not target civilians. Look what happened 6 years ago. Israel decided to get out of Lebanon, with the knowledge that the Hezbollah is still in control over Lebanon. It withdrew its military and gave the UN the power to control the border. What happened? The Hezbollah started to plan this attack Nasrallah even admitted that he planed this for so long. What do you want Israel to do? The north border was attacked, and two soldiers were kidnapped. Do you believe that Israel should have retaliated? This is exactly what gives the Hezbollah the encourage to continue its despicable attacks. They target civilians. They never said that they are fighting the Israeli army. They are aiming at cities to kill as many as they can. Its very easy to sit back and comment every "aggression" Israel does. But, as you know every coin has to ends. Israel should protect its border, and that what it has done.

Well, if you read ALL the news here, you would know that one of the Canadian soldiers whos was killed wrote an e-mail telling his former commander that he feared for his life BECASUE the HIZBOLAH was running around in their base and using the UN base as a shield. Soon after Israels pullout in 2000, the hizbolah, dressed in UN uniforms and using UN vehicles, abducted Israeli soldeirs. This was filmed and witnessed by the UN, who only released this information and the video 2 years later, after the soldiers where murdered. Why can't they? A group that considers that Palestinians have a "right" to attack Israel because they elected a government democratically to do so, believes that right flows from their "democratic right". Your example related to countries that had just suffered an enormous defeat. They weren't very cooperative before they were utterly defeated were they - hence the focus on the means of defeat. What has Gaza had since 1994 but one opportunity after another to create a decent life? They have received so much money for the EU and good faith from us. Have they done anything to better their conditions? Where is all of the money? It all went to private bank accounts and to buy weapons. After WWII the Jews didn't have anywhere near the conditions that the Palestinians have had and yet they created a decent life not only for themselves but for all of the Jews that have come since. When you and Syria decide who it belongs to, if its Lebanon's, I'm sure Israel will have no problem withdrawing in accordance with Resultion 425.

Israel is not begging other countries to come. Other countries are begging Israel to stop, and are offering to send troops. Israel can protect itself as it has done its whole life. By the way, it has pulled out of Gaza and was planning to pull out of the West Bank. Don't blame Israel because its neighbors continue to attack it. Remember, Israel was in Lebanon because it was attacked. It was in Gaza because it was attacked. It is still in the WB because it was attacked, and it was planning to get out of the WB as it got out of Lebanon and Gaza. Israelis elected a government based on pull outs. Palestinians elected a government based on destruction and genocide. Israelis don't get joy from killing others; its neighbors dance in the streets when Jewish people die. Thank you Schulz for bringing up the subject of the GOD of Israel. My name is Derek and I am a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that true internal and external peace comes from the Lord. As I study the Holy Bible more and more, it seems that this peace increases aswell. Jesus said that the scriptures (Old Testament) are they that testify of Him, John 6:39; and this is the absoulute truth. I have come to realize that when I put Jesus in the Old Testament it comes alive with precise accuracy. Whether it be the book of Genesis to the book of Malachi it is the infallible and inerrant WORD OF GOD. If you are a believer aswell you should also realize that GOD is in control of everything, and that we are not at war with the flesh but rather spiritual wickedness. You should also know that The Holy Spirit informed the Apostles of the second coming of Christ and the things that will take place around that time. Earthquakes in many places, diseases, famines, the seas and the waves roaring, brother against brother ( that doesn't mean the Christian brethren ). He ( the Holy Spirit ) said a lot about the things that was take place at the second coming, including the things that scoffers and non-believers will say, I believe there is also a prophecy of how some will be led away by sensual music . Some Interesting verses in the Old Testanent are Zechariah 12: 10 , 11 Isaiah 7:14; 9:6 Daniel 3:25 and this next one is really good if you would like to compare OT and NT scriptures, keeping in mind though that true knowledge and understanding only can come from the GOD of Israel ( Jesus ) if He so wills to bestow, Daniel 10:4-8; and the book of Revalations 1:12-17.
