it's not as if this isn't reported in major news outlets - the media has probably been getting a little tired of publishing things like "15 katuyshas hit , 10 people lightly wounded." There's no outrage "yet" at the 7 killed because it's not an unusual event, let alone a humanitarian crisis. Israel is pretty good shape I'd say compared to Lebanon. If 7 Israelis were being killed every day and the Lebanese army was in Israeli land waging a air/ground offensive I think the UN would sing a different tune.

Any reasonable thinker who's not a pacificst knows that for Israel, this is a war not of choice but of necessity: After building up some 10K missiles and formidable military capability, Hizzbolah, avowedly bent on a sovereign nation's destruction, on 7/12/06, simultaneously invaded that nation's U.N.-undisputed territory and launched rockets at a nearby town as a diversion for the killing/kidnapping of Israeli soldiers(i.e., engaged openly in a war of aggression and terrorism). For Israel NOT to respond fiercely militarily would be tantamount to national suicide. For an intelligent adult to not know this and not see this, to not know that killing of civilians in war is always unavoidable but is not tantamount to terrorism, to not know that Israel tries to limit civilian casualties, Hizzbolah, to maximize them, but instead to add up early numbers upon which to draw conclusions is either bookwormish to the danger point -- I'd hate to see your December 1941 analysis of U.S. progress in the Pacific War -- or something more insidious. Read some history, about war, about rules of international conduct, about genocide, about terrorism, and reflect upon what you read, and stop writing nonsense.
