31. must be proud of targeting fruits!!
Ahmad Abouali ,   nablus   (08.04.06)
so, the Fruits of Lebanon, and those poor men whom are porters carrying them are the "enemy" of Israel!! 27 of them, this is the last thing that fruits can be used as weapons against heroic israel and its "brave"army!?! this is truly sad to see how low the "only democracy in the ME" is stooping to! Shame on every jew, this one is in their names
32. keep on going
devils advocate   (08.04.06)
If they where not terrorist they COULD BECOME to terrorist some day, maybe. Therefore it is very ethical to kill them.
33. #19 well said
Nash ,   Bath UK   (08.04.06)
Its is truly amazing that people who consider themselves civilized and democratic live in such fear that they start to fear the truth itself. The citizens of Israel have been thoroughly brainwashed by the Zionist PR Wake up call for you , Israel.
34. #24 why do you read the news ??
Nash ,   Bath UK   (08.04.06)
If you arnt going to believe it anyway !
35. I think the real story will uncovered in the upcoming week.
Jeremiah ,   Israel, Jewish Land   (08.04.06)
The liberal media is always quick to blame Israel.
36. Don’t expect anything else from Israeli army
Agop ,   Yerevan   (08.04.06)
It is characteristics of the Israeli army to kill innocent people. They have already killed hundreds of innocents in Lebanon. They killed 2-year olds and 3—year olds in Qana. Israeli soldiers are nourishing themselves with the blood of innocent Arab children.
37. To Israeli and Lebanese People
JO ,   BEIRUT / LEBANON   (08.04.06)
To Israelis: I live in Jounieh, in this area lives the majority on Lebanese who are against Hezbullah, and who never considered Israel as an enemy, Thx to the IAF and after attacking Jounieh now they do so. We still have one more bridge, I hope that IAF will bomb it as soon as possible, and continue to kill civilians and destroy infrastructure, because still some Lebanese do not consider Israel as real enemy we would like to push them to see the clear image. What the hell you are talking about and for what IDF is doing that? Admit that your Government lost against Hezbullah resistance, and the more IAF hit civilians and infrastructure the more Israel is loosing supporters for peace and proving more and more that Hezbullah was right by defending its strategy. Where is the difference between the strategy of IDF and the one that was adopted by the Nazis? Bombing roads that lead out of villages in the South of Lebanon that civilians might use to evacuate and kill women & children there!! Olmert’s strategy and after receiving his orders from G.W.Bush is based on making civilians suffer for the sins of Hezbullah whom they failed to defeat them till now even in one battle. Your government is blind, real blind with hatred and arrogance. You will hit the wall pretty soon. Lebanon won’t surrender, and the more you hit civilians the more Hezbullah is gaining the support of even moderate Lebanese people, Go out from your shelters and see the truth of this war, your troops didn’t accomplish one victory and day after day they are COMING BACK HOME IN COFFINS? IT’S LEBANON DON’T FORGET. For me It’s more clear now, your stupid Government have chosen the hate as a strategy towards Lebanon. And to All Lebanese I say: you are wondering why Israel is bombing Christian areas? Do you really think Israel cares about Christians Leb? Is Beirut airport ONLY for Muslims? Are Power stations ONLY for Muslims?? Are Bridges ONLY for Muslims?? It’s a war against Lebanon. They want to destroy Lebanon and they admitted it before they started this war. You already forgot what IDF chief said: Turning Lebanon 20 years back??? Israel doesn’t have the courage to face Hezbuallah face to face because they want to avoid troops casualties so they are destroying Lebanon in order to make Lebanese people hate Hezbuallah and get rid of it by themselves or Hitting Hard Christians thinking this would lead to a civil war between Muslims and Christians in Lebanon. Unfortunately, Israel gave Iran and Syria what they wanted and offered Victory to Hezbullah. A Real Lebanese
38. It's a war, it is expected to have unavoidable casualties

RA   (08.04.06)
Btw about that number? Are they sure about it or are they gonna change it again like they did in Qana? Qana was supposed to be 60+ now its 28 hahaha. What about Jenin? It was supposed to be 500, but its actually only 50. The Muslim lies will never end.

Hey, that's exactly what the suicide-bombing "liberators" say when they shoot pregnant Israeli women and their children: Israeli children grow up to be Israeli military; best to get them early, right? Thanks for reminding us.
42. I read it on the internet...

43. Patrick Stephenson sucks
(08.04.06)
How the hell do YOU know they were "farm workers?" Were you there to see this happen? I'm tired of mindless idiots like you making quick assumptions and immediately jumping to conclusions without first waiting until the facts are analyzed. Your comment that includes the word Zionist clearly belies your underlying evil thoughts. If you cannot be consider both sides of the issue try for objectivity before condemning an entire people, then you shouldn't waste other people's time writing stupid, biased posts on an Israeli website where nobody but fascists will agree with you anyway.
44. Fruit???? Yeah right i dont care if it was diapers
Mike ,   Israel   (08.04.06)
Nothing and i mean nothing crosses syria if it does its history. What would it take for these morons to understand that?
45. Now let everyone of us claim the moral high ground
G-d yawned ,   Israel   (08.04.06)
What's the first thing you do in the case of a kidnapping? Demand PROOF OF LIFE! Show me some and I may change my demeanour, but until then for all I know we are fighting over soldiers who are probably already dead. Olmert is a politician and like many politicians he can't be trusted (but go on, you go right ahead and do so, by all means.) Wars having nothing to do with securing peace. The reason I live more or less in peace with, for example, the shop owner down my street is because we have more or less learned to get along. To be sure, we have our differences - of this there is no question - and yet why is it considered absurd for he and I to go to war over our differences and not other human beings such as, for example, the citizens of a given country presently gripped by civil war? If he and I happen to actually be at war with one another as dwellers of the same city (as has been the case in Belfast, Beirut or Los Angeles for that matter) how likely are we to start ACTUALLY learning to get along at some point, something which HAS to happen for both of us to begin leading the lives we want to live, if we occupy the balance of our time engaging in ongoing reprisals? By all means, however, please continue. Fools keep fighting.
46. # 17 Hey Matt, somehow the Japanese forgot... or
Supporter ,   New York City   (08.04.06)
had chosen to forget. Just like you have already forgotten the 9/11 or maybe you never heard about it, or maybe it was to far away from you to remember it for longer then a day or two. And my point is that 9/11 has a lot to do with events in middle east right now. I hope Americans understand that, not only the Jews. Therefore the solution could very well be another Hiroshima
47. They are openly challenging not hiding in cool stores
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (08.04.06)
So who do you bomb poor farmers, if they do not collect their fruits and vegtables they cannot do it one month later, Agricaltural products will be rotten. It would be another form of death , this time from hunger. Hizbullah openly challange and say where they are in mountans and israeli border why do you escape from confrontation with them and kill civilians? The also say they produce rockets themseleves they do not buy ready to fire as you claimed to be smuggled through borders. So Is it a revenge?

Infidels. I hope you are aware of that painfull fact.
52. To #1, Ari, you are a psycho
Patricia ,   US/Spain   (08.04.06)
You are psycho. What Israel is doing is outrageous and pathetic. One of the best armies in the world, best secret intelligence, to blow up farmers, children and women? I am starting to believe that these are not mistakes or incompetence. The IDF is doing this on purpose because Israelis are so full of hate that lost any rationality. Please, somebody from Israel, tell me I'm wrong.
53. #21 response
AH ,   MK - UK   (08.04.06)
You slightly missed my point. First of all, there is no such think as "ethical" killing. Whilst I give you 100% points for warning when + where you are going to bomb, there are three problems with your argument: 1) You have to understand that you are not boming a developed country. Lebanon is not rich like Israel. Not everyone has access to transport, not everyone will be able to leave a villiage/town/city within the short time frame. In fact so many roads have been destroyed, and so many vehicles have been targeted, that many people may think it safer to stay put. The idea that those that stay behind must be terrorist (which many in this forum seem to indicate) is highly naive. 2) By comparing your ethics with those of the religious fanatics you are fighting, you are significantly lowering your own moral boundaries. You are setting yourself a very low standard to achieve (I know, because the UK government has done exactly the same here). 3) Regarding the difference between collateral killing and terrorist killing, you fail to understand that for the families of those killed (on both sides), it doesn't matter whether they were killed by accident or on purpose. They are still dead. On a more global scale, most people do not see the collateral/terrorist distinction, and instead only see a disproportionate difference in the number of dead (10 to 1). It is therefore a question of whether Hizbollah killing one Israeli civilian justifies the IDF killing 10 Lebanese civilian in order to prevent future attacks. And more importantly, whether killing those 10 civilians will prevent future attacks, or encourage more. Its a question of how the world percieves the conflict (which I know many Israelis have given up caring about). I'm glad my comments drew a decent response though. Its nice to see some debate other than "death to the Israelis/Lebanese" (delete as appropriate).
54. Why are ANY goods coming into Lebanon?
Larry ,   Eastbourne, UK   (08.04.06)
There was supposed to be a blockade on Lebanon. Without commenting on the initial report of this specific incident, the question arises of why the blockade has been lifted and we are hearing all the time of shipments into Lebanon. Only yesterday I was reading about oil tankers being allowed in to port, which is absolutely staggering. While Hizbullah rockets continue to fall, the blockade must be total and no "aid", food, medicines, fuel or goods of any kind should be allowed in. If there's whining and bleating about "innocent civilians", tough. This is the point of a blockade in wartime. Instead we have yet another example of Israel being endangered by its excessive morality.
55. Have you heard the other side yet?
(08.04.06)
Read the start of the article: Security sources in Lebanon said .... Lebanese sources said.... Uusually one is innocent until proven guilty, but you all here, for you Israel is guilty until proven innocent when it comes to civilian (if) deaths and what this indicates about either the gullibility or biases of the world media and their audiences is worrysome. 65 Qana dead became 28 Qana dead, the rest was made up. Who once lies, lies again.

keren ,   sao paulo   (08.04.06)
I know what I am about to say is not related exactly to this article, but I will take the chance. I read today a comment(at the end of my post)here at Ynet ,from an Egyptian man,and ,in my view,he got an wonderfull idea. My idea is to gather signatures at internet ,from users all over the world,in order to be sent to EU leaders;US president;UN;Russia;China, and all those who have influence in the humanity destinies,in order to pressure them towards a constructive path,as the suggested by Sheihk, the Egyptian man. I am not good in operationalizing, though. So ,I ask for those who are good in it ,please,START IT! Let's pressure the world leaders toward PEACE!This is the way! # 30 at http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3286242,00.html
