If Hezbullah is allowed to exist the cease-fire will not function. Every other kind of a cease-fire is a win for Hezbullah who must lose. A sovereign Lebanon cannot exist with a Hezbullah organization that is alive. Israel will not and cannot tolerate any such organization that has vowed its destruction along its borders. A benevolent agreement is doomed to fail. How to eliminate Hezbullah is a matter of field tactics and a terminating political agreement. The future international force has to apply these tactics. Israel has applied them and is getting better and better. The only political solution is the one that will admit the end of Hezbullah and none other.
