1. hello Bolton, you clown, now eat your hat !!!
Franck ,   paris (France)   (08.06.06)
you ridiculous, you know nothing and certainly nothing at all in what diplomacy means. Those who want to know who this guy is, try a look on WIKIPEDIA about this puppet of Bush to the UN. Don't laugh too much !
2. no surprise here!
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.06.06)
of course they reject the resolution, they are rejectionists. it seems to me that they are relishing being victims and are willing to suffer the deaths of more and more of their people in order to make israel look bad. if they want the fighting to stop they will begin by releasing the captured soldiers. that's a big "IF", though.
3. "convince" them to stop the war
(08.06.06)
turn lebanon into a wasteland and make every lebanese a refugee
4. Lebanese Politicians Should Just Shut Up
TD ,   London   (08.06.06)
Lebanese politicians should shut up. They are extremely lucky that the 'international community' has permitted them to still exist. They will not get Shebaa, nor will they remove Israel. This is the price they pay for permitting a terrorist group to grow and operate from Lebanese soil.
5. Lebanon is Hezbollahland!
stude ham ,   outremont, canada   (08.06.06)
Quoting this lebby .... 'The draft Berri said, who stressed he is speaking "in the name of all Lebanese,"' leaves one rolling in the aisles with pure laughter. By "ALL LEBANESE" it is clear that he means only the ones who are hezbollans. Lebanon, as shown by the last 30 days is nothing but Hezbollahland.
6. Shebaa farms?
gavin ,   usa   (08.06.06)
Im sorry, you attacked Israel and now they should give you some land?
7. truth
Jalal ,   lebanon - beirut   (08.06.06)
i believe that israel and USA are afraid to see the truth...and afraid more to know that what they couldn't achieve by force, won't be achieved through their Security Counsil .. ( and i say their ) because there is no more any legitimacy for this SC, at least that's what every human believes...as to the nonhumans they can believe whatever they want.
8. to#1 frank

9. not only sheba'a farms
wissam ,   lebanon   (08.06.06)
we request strongly the following: 1. Sheba's farms 2. Lebanese and palestinian hostages 3. maps of all the land mines. 4. olmert to bend over and kiss all our asses, we might then stop insulting your helpless IDF
10. "Israel satisfied with draft" - crazy
Larry ,   Eastbourne, UK   (08.06.06)
The draft does not demand the unconditional release of the abducted soldiers, does not require the dismantling of Hizbullah and the destruction of its weaponry and infrastructure and does not deal with the problem of Syria and Iran. So how can Israel be satisfied? I guess only because the expectation was for something worse.
11. Added to #6
Irish Guy 2112 ,   Tel-Aviv   (08.06.06)
That, and what the hell reason is Shabba Farms in the wording anyway? It was taken by Israel from SYRIA in Israel's DEFENSIVE war of 1967. NOUGHT to do with Lebanon. WHY is it bandied about in this discussion??
12. Bolton circus!
pim ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (08.06.06)
All right!, We used to have a circus here apparently named after him: The Boltini circus!
13. Just the right behavior for Israel.
rickmd03 ,   Baltimore   (08.06.06)
Let the aggressors reject the proposal. Then when they are satisfied with it Israel should present its objections. Meanwhile Israel should continue to press its attack. Frankly, the more time spent trying to get an appropriate ceasefire the longer time the ceasefire will last. Of course, I do not delude myself that a peace is actually possible while Hezbullah is armed.
14. 1Franck: You are the Eastend of the Westbound Horse
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (08.06.06)

17. P.M. OLMERT
Minabelle Hneford ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.06.06)
Must thank and complement the P.M. on his strong stand. In his last speech he told the world "No more killing and bombing of innocent Israelis. He will do everything in his power to eradicate terrorism, especially directed at Israel, and not apologize for his actions no matter how severe.
18. Lebanon rejects US-French draft resolution
Samuel ,   London   (08.06.06)
This is the reality of the situation- Hizbullah are the Leabnese army- not a civilian guerilla facist militia but a de facto Lebanese army. Cease fire -not before they pull back over the Litani river oh yes and release our captive soldiers....Sheba farms are a strategic water source to the sea of Galille only UN Can police it..
19. short memory?!
pim ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (08.06.06)

20. satisfaction?
pim ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (08.06.06)
Larry, I guess your you still live in the times of the British Empire. Let me give you an update. People are nowadays entitled to have their own opinion. You know, like the Hezbollah. And you just can't occupie and destroy a country and people because you don't like them. Sorry ol chap.
21. Shebba Farms
Paul ,   Columbia, SC, USA   (08.06.06)
The refusal to negociate on account of Shebba Farms proves that Syria is behind the Lebanese rejection of this UN resolution. Surprise, surpise...
22. Realty check
Mike ,   Israel   (08.06.06)
Pim here is a realty check for you since you think you can give updates. Israel is not "occuping" Lebanon they are advancing inorder to stop the shooting of rockets on civilians. And yes well will destroy anything that will or does threaten out saftey. You can have that as an udate.
23. Unfortunately
Mike Sorensen ,   Las Vegas   (08.06.06)
Iran and Hezbollah are fighting a propaganda war that they have been planning for years. Unfortunately, they haven’t realized that the rest of the world isn’t playing their game anymore.
24. American Clowns
Pavel ,   Moscow, Russia   (08.06.06)
All the American Government are clowns for their crazy promotion of aggression in Iraq, Afghanistan & Lebanon & support of terrorists in Chechnya & Kosovo, Vladimir Putin is only world leader not in the pocket of Israel & America.

26. SheSURVIVED Islam'sJIHAD HORROR Against LEBANON'S CHRISTIANS
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.06.06)
Islam’s Torture of Lebanon By Jamie Glazov FrontPageMagazine.com | August 11, 2005FP: Frontpage Interview guest today is Brigitte Gabriel, a survivor of Islam's Jihad against Lebanese Christians. Gabriel: I was raised in the only Christian country in the Middle East, Lebanon. When Lebanon got its independence from France in the 40's the majority of the population was Christian. We were merchant, descendents of the Phoenicians...In no time Lebanon became the Paris of the Middle East... Gabriel: The Christians in Lebanon always had problems with the Moslems, but we never thought our neighbors would turn on us. That situation was aggravated by the influx of the Palestinians coming from Jordan after King Hussein kicked them out in Black September. That's what tipped the scale in Lebanon. Not only had Moslems become the majority but they now also felt empowered by the presence of the Palestinians and Yasser Arafat wanting to attack the Christians, take over Lebanon and use it as a base from which to attack Israel... When the Moslems and Palestinians declared Jihad on the Christians in 1975 we didn't even know what that word meant. We had taken them into our country, allowed them to study side by side with us, in our schools and universities. We gave them jobs, shared with them our way of life. We didn't realize the depth of their hatred to us as infidels. They looked at us as the enemy not as neighbors, friends, employers and colleagues... A lot of Muslims pored in from other Muslim countries like Iran... They came from Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. The Lebanese civil war was not between the Lebanese, it was a holy war declared on the Christians by the Muslims of the Middle East... They started massacring the Christians, city after city. Horrific events the western media seldom reported. One of the most ghastly acts was the massacre in the Christian City of Damour where thousands of Christians were slaughtered like sheep...They would urinate and defecate on the altars of churches using the pages of the bible as toilet paper... The majority of the Lebanese army was Muslims. Christians went to universities, not to the military. The Muslims began taking over military bases across Lebanon. They combined their forces with the Palestinians and formed what they called the Arab Lebanese Army and started attacking the Christians... Gabriel: My town was 2 and half miles from the Israeli boarder. We in our Christian town were faced with the combined Muslim and Palestinian forces waiting to slaughter us. We knew our fate, knowing what they have done to other Christian towns and cities in the rest of Lebanon... Under the cover of darkness, few men from our town went to the border, flagged down an Israeli boarder patrol, explained the situation and begged for help... Israel agreed to help the Christians. Israel became our lifeline. The Israeli military would come during the night and bring food and ammunition to the military and milk for the children... The only reason we stayed alive is because Israel came into Lebanon and drove the Muslims away from the surrounding hills and set up positions in our town to protect us... Things got worse as Syrian, Libyans, Iranians Egyptians became enraged and flocked into Lebanon to fight the infidel Christians and Jews... The Muslims had one vision, to take control of the only Christian country in the Middle East and than attack Israel... http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=19016
27. "Shebaa Farms were not mentioned implicitly"
jason ,   usa   (08.06.06)
what dose THAT have to do with lebanon?
28. It's not going to work
Steve ,   Montreal, Canada   (08.06.06)
Israel's bombardment of Lebanon will not give Israelis peace. But it will give you more death, both in the short term and in the long term. You can't see it now because you're all so angry but you have increased the ranks of the terrorists exponentially.
29. threat??????????
pim ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (08.06.06)
Yo mike, What do you expect? If you first steal their country, then make their lives miserable, then kill everybody that is in your way, then destruct a complete autonomous country, keep killing people, especially civilians and children...somebody finally got very angry! Are you suprised? Get real!
30. Convenient in Amsterdam? For how long?
pim ,   a   (08.06.06)
Abish, I am afraid you have to go back further in history than 6 years. Somebody started all this shit and they weren't Palestines, nor Hezbollah. Think about it! Think about the desastrous life of the Palestines, think how the hell it is possible that in 2006, one country can bomb another country 50 years back into history. Think my friend! The question indeed should be with the American and Israelian aggression: how long can I sit and stay conveniently in Amsterdam!!! You tell me!
