thorsten forgets that Isarel is democratic country with a free press reporting for and against the present conflict, including on the peaceniks demonstrating. Where are the voices of peace and demonstration to that effect in the Arab countries. If they do take place we find the same Israel bashing, US and likewise. and no call on the Hezbollah to put an end to its blind rocketry full of pellets forbiden by international law and conventions.

Again the Israeli goverment is giving in to the Europeans and the US and giving up Shappa farms which is Israel's only bargining chip for normal relations with Lebanon. This war has been handled very badly because of the slow ramp up of the Israeli response in Lebanon and also the lack of forces to make a difference by going to the Litani. Appeasement is the call of the day and of course the present goverment is the blame by being to timid in the response. By giving up the prisoners Shappa farms Israel is left with nothing to bargin with for normalizeing relations and to recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. Iran and Hezbollah would have won.

It's very difficult to protect Arab or Jew from a rocket attack, owing to the rapid nature that they are fired and land in populated areas. Ynet is a very far left site, but the demostration of about 1000 people was organized by people who are against the existence of the State of Israel, coalition of Communist-Stalinist union and Islamic groups. They walked with red flags (as you saw picktures) and green Islamic flags. Maki is Stalinist-Communists. Balad Islamo-Nazis. Hadash = Communist party of Israel (they follow Mao and Stalin). to take ur kids down to the shelters 10 times a day..and the final straw was the 6-7 rockets that hit us at 7.50pm one just up the road fm my place. The arab Israelis, all of them shud have shelters, they shud have a sheltered room if need be..I hope that Shadi finds his grandparents and that they are ok..and i pray that Ibatisam is ok so she can go home with her daughter..we are all in the same boat together..we shud be united - rockets are not defined by religion, race or sex...I pray that there will be peace for all both in Israel and Lebanon..we have held out for 26 days but i am finding it increasingly difficult to keep my kids calm after each rocket attack...especially after today!

I lived in Israel and so I know that there are public shelters for everyone, and or generally under every building. In the more modern buildings it is now required by law to have a safe room in every apartment. These buildings where this tragedy happened are very old and that is probably why there were no proper shelters.

World opinion regarding Israel is bad no matter what she does or doesn't do, so frankly Israel should tell the world to go to hell and finish off Nasrallah! Israel's citizens come first!
