If you would have ever visited Israel, i.e Jerusalem, than you would know, that there are no limitations whatsoever on ANYONE of any religion in Israel (including East Jerusalem!) to pray in whatever place he or she chooses to do. The only restrictions you will find are in many Muslim sites such as the Temple Mount! Also, you will not find ANY synagogues in Ramallah or Gaza and churches everyday less, since the Muslims want to dominate their "christian brothers". So next time stick to the facts.

What the US a friendly country with its customs just a little cool? After a twelve hour flight, stand for at least half an hour in a queue to have a retina scan (because you're probably a terrorist) and be grilled by border guards, then get shunted through a customs/ immigration section that looks more like the entrance to SingSing then leave by way of an airport building that looks like it was imported from Beirut, and call a taxi - hoping that the driver will know how to get where you want - and Hi! you've just arrived in the rear-end of the globe.

Why should Israelis expect to be treated as citizens from a civilized country when they in turn treat the Palestinian people as less than human? Look what your government is doing in Lebanon. With all your sophisticated guided weapons systems Israelis still manage to kill a far higher ratio of civilians to freedom fighters. When Hezbullah uses their guided weapons they actually hit military targets. Israelis should get used to being treated as pariahs out in the civilized world. Israelis can not go to Indonesia(as I heard from an Israeli girl 5 years ago),because it is muslim's run;now they can not go to Fiji;they can not live freely in muslims countries,etc. WHY DO MUSLIMS CAN LIVE IN ISRAEL?WHY THE HELL,WHY?????? Being mistreated and waiting for several hours to go home through an Israeli checkpoint is not uncommon. And they are even in their own land! Now these 3 Israelis know how it feels and it really sucks, doesn't it?

The christians play a big role in Palestinian society. They make up 6-8% of the Palestinians. What happened when the Israelis attacked the Nativity Church in Bethlahem? Don't tell me the church was an undercover mosque. Don't try making the Arab-Israeli conflict one between religions.

It’s unfortunate that Fiji has not reprimanded this immigration officer. I was planning a trip there and will cancel and will mention this to other if I hear they want to travel to the area unless this is resolved. Furthermore I don’t see how anyone can compare an Israeli checkpoint put up to prevent suicide bombings to a Fiji immigration checkpoint. Israel has put up checkpoints as a reaction to constant violence from extremists coming out of the Palestinian areas and to prevent weapon smuggling for use against Israel. Fiji has no reason to prevent Israelis from coming into there country. Clearly there is no history of Israeli violence in Fiji or in most countries in fact. In general the same cannot be said of Palestinians. It is clear to me that if the Palestinians represented themselves as a peace loving people and took real steps to prevent attacks on Israel from there country peace could be achieved. The Fiji government should reprimand this officer and offer the travelers an apology (hopefully a free vacation)
