If the Israeli objective was to conquer Lebanon then you would be right. If the Israeli objective was to commit a genocide on the Lebanese then you would be right. Israel has done none of those. The Israeli objective is to cripple Hizbollah. Before you say 'yes but Hizbollah is still firing rockets into Israel' this is true but beside the point. These rockets are not effective after over 3000 rockets they have killed about 40 people, 40% of those being Israeli Arabs proving just what a limited weapon this is. The rate the IDF is taking ground in Lebanon is not limited by its abilities, rather by the orders it gets from Jerusalem. In 1996, 1973, Israel was being held back at this point four weeks into the conflict. So far the UN has only made hick ups for resolutions. I assure you that if Israel would take ground troops to Bairut tomorrow the UN would move faster to stop Israel. As it is, Israel can keep on killing Hizbolla and weakning it, while 2 cents generals like you two can redicule all you like.
