The problem with the IDF's tactics is they aren't going far enough and taking the war to the people. This recent idea of trying to prevent "collateral damage" is ridiculous. A war involves ALL the people in a country, and that means everyone, including civilians, are valid targets. Just as was done by Sherman in Atlanta in the USA's Civil War, and by the Allies in Dresden in WWII, entire cities need to be burned to the ground in order to achieve victory. The Hezbollah are not separate and distinct from the Lebanese people; they are one in the same. The Lebanese government and people provide refuge for Hezbollah, and do nothing to stop their terroristic acts. Therefore, the Lebanese government and civilians are valid targets in this campaign. Do not stop attacking Lebanon until all Hezbollah are dead. That may mean destroying most of the civilian population, but so be it. They made their choice by supporting Hezbollah, so now they must suffer the consequences.
