31. Thanks to the bloggers
Laura ,   London   (08.09.06)
without them, none of this fakery would have surfaced. The newspapers and media who swallowed the Hizbollah bait hook line and sinker, saw what they want to see and that's good enough for them. By the way 'Green Helmet' of the Qana 'massacre' has now become 'White Helmet' of Tyre- its a whitewash! Check out this blogger http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/

Hopefully not.

rickmd03 ,   Baltimore, USA   (08.09.06)
Are you trying to say, "They all look alike" ? How racist! What a "fellow traveler" you seem. Leftist perhaps? Support the Times at all cost. Support the newsmedia at all costs lest the proletariat awaken and turn on you all.
34. #16 Lara
Dad ,   Texas,USA   (08.09.06)
Lara, Study the pictures. It Is the same person in the same clothing with the same body features. To an observant eye not every Arab looks alike. While certain individuals in a race might have similar characteristics this is the same man. The photos are staged.
35. Today, Aug 9, yet another fake photo in NYT
myron ,   USA   (08.09.06)
Readers of thisx forum. Please refer to Little Green footballs.com. There is a photomontage by none other than Tyler Hicks. It is a photo taken in a hospital in or near Beirut. The head of a black African man has obviouisly been cut and pasted onto the head of someone else. This photomontage appears in the NEW YORK TIMES--here we go again
36. To #18 They are all having Nargella now.

37. Doctored photographs
Sandra ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (08.09.06)
#22. Swedish media. For those who are unaware of the fact, Ha'aretz is a very dovish newspaper, and disagree with many of the opinions in JPost , YNet, Maariv (Hebrew newspaper) and government policies. The international press and news agencies that have printed falsified photographs, have caused untold damage with their blatant lies. They should start by printing apologies to Israel. The Arab are very good liars, and should be exposed for what they are. Paperazzi.
38. Poor Israel
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (08.09.06)
still seeking a reason to have attention of the world, maybe the 300 dead children (potential future terrorists) images will help you understand what is your poooooor IDF doing in Lebanon. sick minded idiots
39. No, guv, he's not dead, he's restin'
Softwalker ,   Ottawa Canada   (08.09.06)
Or perhaps he was pinin' for the fjords. Can someone go get John Cleese to do a remake of the dead parrot sketch? It's high time.
40. How many paycheques was the guy collecting?
Softwalker ,   Ottawa, Canada   (08.10.06)
who knows, perhaps he was picking up some cold hard cash from Tiz-Ballah. After all, they do have some cash to burn
41. I told you about the media
Sal ,   Florida   (08.09.06)
I told you about the media (pink) in US whoever the media wants to side to is going to win and unfortunatelly they ( most) hate Israel. God loves Israel and that is what it counts.
42. Hollywood, Lebanon
Lauren ,   Israel   (08.10.06)
Reporters and photographers have hit an all time low with this man who "rose from the dead". What is this supposed to be, a joke??? It's not bad enough that people are dying, in horrible ways, but these low class vultures try to cash in on it. I suppose they are showing what they seem to think the world wants to see, in which case, I am glad that we Israelis don't abuse our dead in such a way, but quietly bury them. To Jews, the soul and the body is sacred, not like the terrorists who have no souls at all. This is the reason that you will not find one photograph of an Israeli soldier ever abusing a dead terrorist. We have dignity, and that is one of things that seems to bother much of the world.

44. Sorry#18 but look at this
Laura ,   London   (08.10.06)
Pallywood are literally faking it - whatever truth there may be it is now so obscured by these staged theatricals that we will find it hard to believe anything from Palestinian and Lebanese sources. the lies have backfired - the chickens have come home to roost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_B1H-1opys#IIfAj_eg2EE
45. Come count the dead bodis
Rana ,   Lebanon   (08.10.06)
If you want to make your readers or citizens feel better about your crimes by proving to them how photos are faked or doctored, u r sure doing that. These r only newspapers who want to sell more or a photographer who wants to have a better photo. Reality is Israel is killing innocent children and people. You can account for one or two fake photos but how can you account for the other 1000 plus dead bodies all over Lebanon. When they will get the chance to get a decent burial you can come count the bodies of the dead children killed in Qana, stacked to the other 90 plus bodies buried together plus those from the other massacres in Qaa, Ghazia, Sheyah and all thte other villages. By the way, I am not a Shiite, nor with Hizbullah but I have a shred of humanity left in me
46. NY Times and karma
Neal ,   NJ,USA   (08.10.06)
NY Times ad revenues and subscription base has dwindled more then 20% in the last few years. They just announced the closing of its huge Edison, NJ printing plant The NY Times is now paying for its decietful liberal bias.
47. Stage THIS
Kate ,   Jerusalem   (08.10.06)
How about inviting Reuters to stage a ceasefire. They could show photos of Hizbullah's rockets all gathered in a pit near the border (Green Hat Guy could feature), with their hands behind their heads and IDF soldiers holding them at gun point. They could then ask Hizbullah (for the camera of course) to march at IDF gun point to round-up trucks where they will be photographed heading for a POW camp. The photographer could follow along (essay style) as Hizbullah are deposited in a Red Cross IDF controlled camp - awaiting negotiations with Iran. Of course we can just imagine that the IDF will free Hizbullah immediately after the photo shoot and continue with the war.... If they didn't it would be terribly unfair. Kofi Annan may even call it a "war crime" - but tough luck.... that's the way things sometimes go when your staging the news.
48. News Agency's need to hire Bloggers as editors
Kate ,   Jerusalem   (08.10.06)
and get rid of the dishonest photo editors currently running staged and faked images
49. To No. 13, David
NYC Girl   (08.10.06)
Very funny comment. In fact, my particular favorite was the one that was captured by an Israeli drone after the so-called Jenin massacre, when a supposedly dead body kept slipping off a stretcher being carried through the rubble. Finally, after about his third time falling onto the ground, the "corpse" got up and ran away.
50. HATERS OF BUSH
ALAN ,   USA   (08.10.06)
IT IS ALL BECAUSE THEY HATE BUSH. AND BUSH SUPPORTS ISRAEL , SO THEN THEY HATE ISRAEL.
51. #18 -- what dead people?
Dr. Coambs ,   Canada   (08.10.06)
#18, remember that Hiz does not wear uniforms. I have yet to see independent verification of # deaths in Lebanon. Of those dead, how many were combatants, or material supporters in harms' way? No one seems to know.
52. # 8..we prove your lying cowardice

53. Truth Comes Out
Mario ,   McAllen,Tx USA   (08.10.06)
Finally all you people see how the left-wing media has an agenda against Isarael and America. They want our defeat! I know these fake photos and othere basis out there are to help the Islamo-facist and to make puplic openion in our leftist in our countries and the world against us. Isarel will win, it has to. Losing is not an option to Israel.
54. ARAB HATE KNOWS NO BOUNDS

55. News ? Really ?
Nathan Rai ,   Bangalore   (08.10.06)
Journalism is for the mature as fairy tales are for the immature. They both want us to beleive. Time and again, the the victim is painted as the aggressor. Are we sure Journalists cant be tried for fabricating "facts" through "accidental " oversight? Isnt there any Ombudsman where this outrage can be remedied ?
56. Fradulent Photos
Marilyn Hatara ,   St Marys Ga   (08.10.06)
Another example of media manipulation and lack of professionalism exhibited by the New York Times who needs to be made accountable for its shoddy journalistic endeavors which do not engender the whole truth. It makes one question the entire agenda of this major news entity.
57. Media Objectivity
MS   (08.10.06)
in that case, why not ask the israeli air force to provide better photos (as they are taking plenty) of the destruction in South Lebanon and South Beirut. i am sure you can beleive and trust those!!
58. Folks, I've been saying this for weeks
Doronron   (08.10.06)
In order to turn public opinion against the war the media (in the US) has painted Israel as the bad guy tearing up Lebanon for no reason what-so-ever. The exaggerated, false reporting does not surprise me one iota, although the doctored photos are certainly a new low. Thank goodness I found this website as I would still be believing the BS broadcast on CNN (and the others). My respect for the US media has plunged by about 90% over the last 3 weeks. I can hardly stand to look at these people anymore as they have no other interest in reporting "live from Lebanon" than padding their resumes with some war reporting in preparation for their next job or "book deal." These people should pick a career, either media or politics, and stay the hell out of the other. Then again, it's beginning to look like the qualifications are about the same for either--say whatever you want to get whatever you want.
59. #45 Counting Dead Bodies
Granny ,   USA   (08.10.06)
Rana, no one is disputing that people are dying in Lebanon. People are dying in Israel too - and it was not Israel that started this. We're all sorry your country has played host to Hizballah and they've bitten off more than they can chew. It is sad that you are being hurt in the process. But I have to tell you, I have looked at just about every picture taken at Qana - well over 100. I am a medical professional by trade. Were there dead bodies? Yes, there were. But some of those bodies show every indication of being dead before any Israeli bomb hit the house in Qana. The same two men appear over and over and over with just a few of the children, posing everywhere for nearly all of the photographers. And one of those men - Green Helmet Guy - posed exactly the same way in Qana in 1996. Pictures from 1996 are being used on protest posters. We want the world - and that includes you - to know the truth of what is happening in your country and in Israel, not some fairy tale. Think: if all this has come to light in just a few days, how many other pictures and stories over the years have been made up too? I think that things might have beeen very different in this world without these fairy tales. For all of us.
