42. The Fallen
Peter Conlon ,   Santee,Calif.USA   (08.25.06)
Those who fall protecting civilization from Barbarism are on the Right side of whatever might be on the other side. More will follow - but the Right despite mistakes will prevail because the alternative at this stage is a new Darkness. I worked on Kibbutz Kfar Mammacabi near Haifa in 1970/71- always remembered the wonderful people there.
43. They died for us
GBH ,   Palm Beach/Toronto   (08.25.06)
for Israel, for the Jewish People but also for defending Democracy and the Right to Exist. Lets not forget their families who need our support. My young cousin officer Emmanuel Moreno is not yet on the list: like many others he has left behind a young family and desolate parents. We must stay united.
44. The Fallen
Debby S ,   MinneapolisMn USA   (08.25.06)
May they all rest in peace. I pray that their families & friends can ultimately find comfort & strength in the memories of their loved ones.
45. The Martyrs
Omar ,   The Planet Earth   (08.28.06)
I guess all members of an invading army should be canonized.. they are martyrs after all. They were in another country trying to kill it's civilians. How about all the over 900 Lebanese civilians murdered as 'collateral damage' by the IDF. Do they even get a brief mention .. even small print would do.. they are not that important after all.
46. THANK YOU
Irene ,   Argentina   (08.28.06)
Thank you . My heart is proud and sad , you will be my heroes always. Love and gratitude to you and your families. It´s an irreplaceable loss and the most terrible honor . We should live for Israel, not die . May the world recognise once and for all our right to live in peace in our Homeland and to develop the enormous potential our people has , for us and for each and everyone in this troubled era.

49. "How about a Cover Photo"
Judy Cohen ,   Toronto, Canada   (09.02.06)
To H. Jerusalem's uncalled for comment. Maybe, just maybe Jewish Israelis had more and better shelters than Arab Israelis so more were killed. and there are more photos. Indeed there should be photos of Jewish Israelis too but the very idea of seperating Israeli vicitms is an abhorrent idea to me.Would be a discrminatory practice. All were in it together.
