31. You're repeating the mistake of May 2000
Maria ,   Lebanon   (08.10.06)
If you leave the south now, without disarming Hezballah, you're repeating what you've done before in May 2000. So Hezbollah will become the hero, and he'll be stronger than before. So run away from the border.
32. French Army to protect Hizballah....very bad
Kissel   (08.10.06)
This is the sickest thing I have ever heard. After a terrorist attack, the terrorists will run back and hide behind the French Army. Looks like war with France might be comming soon. Not Good at all. I can see through this easily, and it's way more scary then Hizballah itself. The first French soldier to die at the hands of Israelis will start a fire all over Europe. Troubled times ahead, and the road will be very bumby.
33. Number 27
Libneniyyeh   (08.10.06)
Let me ask you this, Ben. Do you live in Lebanon? No? Then shut up.
34. Hizbolahh wins
Wise Man ,   USA   (08.10.06)
If the new draft is true and both sides agree to it, that will seal the Hizbollah victory.
35. #22 Israel Will Have Peace Once the Terrorists Are Destroyed
H ,   Jerusalem   (08.10.06)
36. The Enemy Within
Dave ,   NYC   (08.10.06)
Far more dangerous than Hamas & Hizbollah & Iran combined is the present government of Israel. This Kadima/Labor conglomorate with all it's individual political self interests will be the real downfall of Israel. Gone are the chalutz days when the country was unified in defense. It has been replaced by greedy politicians and even generals who have lost the will to fight for their country. In Olmert's own words to a group of Jewish leaders in New York this winter "We are tired of defeating our enemies" (how precient). The only silver lining is MAYBE, after Israel hands Hizbollah it's "victory" and there is some temporary peace and quiet, while Hizbollah reloads with the IDF idly watching from the sky, and an " emboldened" UNIFIL looks the other way, this clownish government will be deposed and the Israeli public will reassess the way and by whom it wants to be governed.
37. If the Regime Agrees To This National Suicide....
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (08.10.06)
If Olmert agrees to this dangerous 'ceasefire' the citizens need to oust him from power via a putsch. It is inconceivable that Hizbullah will NOT be disarmed and that they will regroup right under the Euros noses. The next time they will have rockets with WMD. Does Olmert and his cadre want to take responsibilty for this catastrophe? All these dead Jews must not be allowed to have died in vain. Let the regime know that the people will take them down if they agree to this decapitation.
38. It's so easy to push a pupet around
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.10.06)
Pulling Israel's Strings The Empire interfere's with Israel for it's own nefarious goal's,playing both sides in the Arab Israeli conflict. Eventually Humpty Dumpty will fall off the wall and Israel's weak puppet minister will have to put Israel's survival above the will of Golden Calfboy Bush and Rice Gumbo. The end goal of Israel from the beginning should have been 'Victory over Hezbollah'. Due to Israel's slaveish obiescense to their masters they have lost this vision and only talk about weak efforts to push back the enemy. Who has instilled this long term weakness in Israel's weak puppet, empty suit leaders ? The answer is clear for any who want to see.
39. Oh No, Not The Frogs!
Richard The Lionhart ,   England   (08.10.06)
The same people that gave up to the Germans when they still had a million soldiers and left the British Army to fight on its own at Dunkirk sustaining huge casualties from Stuka DIve bombers, I hate these Frog surrender monkeys.
40. #17,18,19,20,21
Lebanese ,   Lebanon   (08.10.06)
Hizbollah already won ,because after a whole month nothing of this campaign's goals that were put in front of IDF by olmert & peretz weren't reached & most important that couldn't be reached.this approves Barak & Sharon & shows that they are wiser, more experienced & look far in front & not such these who are american puppets destroying their country & making their people suffer as lebanese people.such idiots as olmert & peretz must pay for what they cause to israel & lebanese people
41. I can smell elections
Alex ,   Israel   (08.10.06)
42. Hizbollah not disarmed = fire never ceasing
(08.10.06)
43. #14 You hit the nail right on the head...
Jeremiah ,   Israel, Jewish Land   (08.10.06)
This is unreal. The French will be there to protect us? Just what we need a bunch of Europeans getting in the way. We shouldn't have to negotiate with Hizbullah, if we had a real leader there wouldn't be a Hizbullah to negotiate with. New elections are right around the corner, bye bye Olmert you clown.
44. HIZBULLAH WON!!!
tariq ,   Beirut   (08.10.06)
KEY WORDS: the only way to return the soldiers is through Indirect talks and exchange of prisoners...(Nasrallah July 12, 2006) when are u going to start beleiving this guy????
45. Res will stop short of requiring...to disarm Hezzb
Snagglepuss ,   Here, There   (08.10.06)
Then who is going to do it? If not disarmed they will simply rearm and be back. This is not going to happen.
46. Ceasefire?
Don S. ,   Missoula, MT, USA   (08.10.06)
You mean reload, don't you?
47. #6
david ,   USA   (08.10.06)
I'm with ya on that one..the USA needs to invade Iran. Enough is enough. Iran cries every day for war with with America and for war with Israel, well cmon Iran, let's go. I've listened to Iran cry for my death for 27 years. Isn't it funny , here is the war the iranians are lusting for, but they back off.....? Why are they not throwing themselves into holy jihad and dying for allah in mass quantities? Isn't that what they want?
48. Olmert's main concern :"the whole world is watching us"
keren ,   sao paulo   (08.10.06)
Olmert is dislocated from Israel and its People. He has imbeciles concerns overcoming his thoughts. He is "far"from Israel, probably in the same place his sons live:US and France.
49. No disarmement, No soliders return
Oqua Tangin Wann ,   Planet Mars   (08.10.06)
No victory for Israel. Hiazolah won this one. Olmertand Amir pertez are big loosers.
50. OLMERT YOU FOOL, HIZBOLLAH ONLY NEED 1 WMD MISSILE
TD ,   London   (08.10.06)
If this deal goes through, it is 100% guaranteed that Hizbollah will rearm with long range missiles tipped with WMD that can be fired into Israel from north of the Litani. A FALSE PEACE WILL NOT WORK. Tonight I pray for Israel.
51. U.S. Gave Israel a Month
Jerry ,   NYC, USA   (08.10.06)
and the idiot Kadima/Labor/Olmert/Peretz government did nothing with it except destroy Lebanese infrastructre and left Hezbollah largely intact. They should be thrown out of office the moment this defeat "cease fire" is signed.
52. Do not forget Russia
Pavel Gajewski ,   Moscow, Russia   (08.10.06)
Our RPG-29 and anti tank missles changes the face of that war and gane Hizollah the victory. It is a good adverisement for our great weapons. Next time you will fight them make sure thay do not have anti aircraft sam. I thnk it will go on sale soon
53. #44 The US was against that idea
Mark ,   USA   (08.10.06)
Many Americans asked Bush to engage in direct talks. They were upset that the US was having no diplomats come to the region. A lot less people would have died. It should not have ever taken this long to draft a cease-fire.
54. Governments
rickmd03 ,   Baltimore, USA   (08.10.06)
The governments of France, Germany and the USA will change some day. Putting the safety of Israel in their hands is a great mistake. The demographics in these countries are changing and their policies will change. The French will not fight to disarm Hezbollah but they might fight to protect Hezbollah from Israel. The French army will not be persons from metropolitan France but mercenaries recruited from around the world. This is a terrible idea.
55. Bibi HELP!!!
David ,   Tel-Aviv   (08.10.06)
If Olmert 's pathetic govt. accepts this deal then he will have to be run out of office. Israel has only one true leader who understands complicated geopolitics. There is only one leader who has the fortitude to stand up to the UN/Bush/France and the terrorist regimes. The Israeli people will quickly understand that Kadima is a sham, and will oust them within 6 months. Bibi Netanyahu will then make a swift return to Govt. I just hope it's not to late.
56. IDF under presssure
Mick ,   Australia   (08.10.06)
so to safe more killing of IDF the US made it look like it pressured IDF to delay operations. what load of shit your lost admit it and never to be repeated.
57. #3 Michael
Mick ,   Australia   (08.10.06)
RES:1559 is a history all what your governoment did and the killing are gone GW should go and learn more about the ME and how people think.
58. THIS IS ALL B S
HM ,   Canada   (08.10.06)
For those in the know there was a plan in place. But before it could be finalized, Hebolla pulled this stunt, with the two soldiers. They have won nothing, this was agreed to by them, so we are back at square one. They are scared with no conflict, the kid at the top, with be unemployed.
59. #34 A win of Islamic terrorism
Mark ,   USA   (08.10.06)
This war promoted more people to want to join Hizballah. It empowered Hizballah and weakened Israel. It created more tension and the situation is still the same. More people hate Israel and want to harm Jews throughout the world.
60. #51 Israel was ordered to restrain!
Mark ,   USA   (08.10.06)
