My God so many IDF soldiers have died for nothing. So many mothers are mourning their sons. 7 died today, I think that many more died today. Today is a black day in the history of the IDF.

Why is he sending in 30,000 troops right before a ceasefire so that they can be picked off by Hezbollah? Why didn't he send them in last month? If Halutz says the IDF needs a week to occupy south Lebanon, why is the fighting stopping Monday? Someone please explain this strategy.

These men are heroes, and there families deserve some privacy in order to grieve. Please g-d, let the tzahal use suffficient airpower and artillery on the defended villages prior to entering them with infantry/tanks, the world does not care, why the hell should the IDF?

Israel's self-inflicted wound becomes uglier and more deadly with each passing day and the situation will only worsen in the coming days as it tries, but fails, to dislodge Hezbollah from southern Lebanon. Israel is in trouble and it is time for the Bush Administration to throw the neo-con crazies out of the White House and the Defense Department and embark on a diplomatic effort to keep Israel's military intact. Otherwise, the Israeli Army is likely to break itself on the hills of southern Lebanon and the United States will not be able to do anything other than express regret. We have our own "turd in the punchbowl" to wrestle in Iraq. Meanwhile, Hezbollah stands a good chance of expanding its influence and power, not just in the region, but throughout the Arab and Muslim world. Let's remember, it ain't just Americans who love a winner.

They send all those troops right now just to score points like "we reached Litani" and try to hold to some positions until there is ceasefire. Well it won't work because Nazrallah has already said he will stop when Israel stops. Meanwhile the whole world is watching the double tounge of Olmert. It's definately not good for Israel nor it's image. Condolences for those who are dying for the wrong one on the seat.

Obviously, Israel lost everything in this war. Here are the evidence: 1) They claimed that Hizb will not be able to attack us by missles. They still do! 2) Olmert and Pertz claimed that they will destroy Hiz pwoer and leaders! They failed. 3) on daily bses, we are loosing on average 5-18 troops! 4) Today, Israel lost around 20 troops and 100 were injoured. After all these, WHAT DID WE ACHEIVE??? NOTHING. In a few weeks, if not in days, olmert and his Pertz will be home drinking tea with their wifes!!!!

IDF made a giant push and some units even reached Litani and it can never be done without taking casulties. IDF got highest 11 killed today...in military terms its nothing...
