The statements attributed to this Barakat would have provided a belly full of laughs, but for the fact that he and others beleived it. These are the elements of Hezbollah's "victory". I just have the feeling that after the magnitude of the problems created by this set of fools begin to become apparent, the Lebanese public in particular, and the Arab world in general will certainly come to the proper conclusion.

Lebanon looks like a quarry and over a million people are now displaced. What victory? Does he call it a victory because he killed Israeli soldiers? does he call it a victory because he fired WWII rockets into our country? There are over 30,000 Israeli troops in Lebanon now. There is not ONE Hezbullah terrorist on Israeli soil, apart from the ones that we captured. WHAT VICTORY? They were hiding in pits and bunkers like cowards. WHAT VICTORY? Nasrallah wants to be seen as the new modern-day Mohammed. Any Arab with half a brain would see the situation for what it really is. I'm not saying Israel has won, but we certainly have not been defeated and as for the 'end of the Zionists' that's a pathetic statement from a sick power-crazed wacko. Apart from Syria and Iran, every single Arab country sat by and watched this war, no-one came to his aid. Why? because they just don't care enough to get involved in Hassan Nassrallah's wet dreams.

What's left of the the Free World, by that I mean the United States, Israel, and at least a part of England, (one can no longer include France in this definition) must destroy the radical islamists before it it too late. Israel has known (and said) from day 1 that if all the Arabs united it was sunk. If Nasrallah has only realized this now he's not as bright as they say. This is precisely the reason one would have expected Israel to do its utmost to integrate itself into the Middle East instead of relying on violence to remain exceptional in it. Even for big countries, the big stick has its place if it stays behind efforts to negotiate and accommodate. For a tiny people in a tiny country, to rely on violence alone is simple stupidity. If that has been the strategy until now (and we were always told it wasn't), it's high time for a rethink.
