California Bear ,   Berkeley USA   (08.13.06)
Here's what your 'superheroes' aren't tell you but deep down I think you and citizens in other Arab countries who are celebrating Hizbullah's "victory" know this but want to keep the charade going... www.jihadwatch.com Hezbollah's operational council has drawn up casualty lists that have been passed to the Shaheed Foundation. Copies have been seen by the Daily Telegraph and have also been obtained by Lebanese newspapers, which have been pressured by Hezbollah not to publish them. "Hezbollah is desperate to conceal its casualties because it wants to give the impression that it is winning its war," a senior security official said. "People might reach a very different conclusion if they knew the true extent of Hezbollah's casualties."
2. Unbelievable
Dave ,   CA, USA   (08.13.06)
Ynet is transmitting messages for him?!?! How about stuffing him into a basement somewhere, completely incommunicado, whereabouts unknown, until we hear about the status of the kidnapped Israeli boys. No wonder Israeli deterrence has gone down the toilet.
3. why tf r we so stupid
haim ,   mtl canada   (08.13.06)
this is not a real war i guess we r showing too much humanity for these criminals thts why we got so many dead soldiers then we will never win a war like this prison for some members of kadima and quick before we loose our ability to think right
4. Isn't he a civilian?
Aaron ,   oz   (08.13.06)
How can he be a member of Hizbollah? None of them have been taken prisoner, have they? Only 30 of them have been killed? Haven't they? Or are we not being told the entire truth Hasan?
5. What is this new term 'operative'? This man belongs to a
Judith ,   Haifa   (08.13.06)
terror organization! aimed at destroying Israel. Has ynet become a branch of the BBC?
6. Nonsese. They can orchestrate synchronized attacks
Palestinian   (08.13.06)
and at the same time cannot figure out about a truce which any stupid person can hear about from a simple AM/FM radio!! Give me a break! You just want to show that these brave fighters are idiots and cowards blah blah blah. You have to know that sooner or later, you will pay for your crimes. You are not allowing Palestinians to return back to their home since 1948! You caused a one million refugee inside Lebanon itself in the modern 21st century? I really feel sorry for our grandfathers who suffered in 1948 and until today we are unable to return. We will not forget, and most importantly, we will not forgive!
7. Hezbollah did the same
giorgio ,   italia/roma   (08.13.06)
I just want to remind you all that the 2 Israeli soldiers captured by Hezbollah received medical treatment in the hospital destroyed by IDF in Tyre......please shut up, if you keep this fighter a life that’s cause you need him a life.!!!!!!
8. Nice Gesture
Z, ,   Lebanon   (08.13.06)
we are really thankful for this human gesture, but tell the doctor that we have seen POWS coming out from your concentration camp, and we saw the mental and physical health they got back with. they were destroyed, anyways we dont execute POWS and we treat them good, i think that iSRAEL EXECUTED egyptian POWs. anyways this is not the deal, what you did is the least you can do, lets pray for this war to end cause no one is winning
9. maybe now the world will see
Mizgav Am   (08.13.06)
what israel is really about. kol hakavod to the doctor. keep the arab alive, then start to interogate. after the hospitality we give, maybe he will be happy to give info.
10. To number 1
Chris ,   LA   (08.13.06)
Even if the Israeli casualty figures for Huzb Allah is 100% accurate, Huzb Allah still achieved victory because of the results of the fight. You don't count victory by the amount of people killed...
11. Merciful
Shomera ,   London   (08.13.06)
He who is merciful to the cruel will in the end be cruel to the merciful - a truism indeed ...
12. The best possible publicity
Lars ,   Finland   (08.13.06)
That kind of medical care is the best possible publicity for Israel. We have seen aroud the world so many Lebanese casualties during last weeks.
13. WHAT ARE WE THINKING????
Talula ,   Israel   (08.13.06)
"My name is Abdullah Nasser and I only ask that my family be told that I'm alive and wounded," he said. That's more than our Israeli families of the abducted soldiers got. It's a disgrace. HE volunteered for Hezbollah. 'Believe me, I am sorry"? he's only sorry because he was captured, and no, we should not believe him. What's he going to say now when his life is in the hands of Israeli doctors? We are too decent, that's our problem. I hope that no-one turns their back on him. He can't be trusted.
14. #3 Haim
NilsG ,   Helsingborg, Sweden   (08.13.06)
From your name I gather you are Jewish, although you write from Canada. I understand your frustration at the way the war has been going, and the cease-fire resolution. However, Israel is not stupid in treating its POW's humanely - it is moral and civilized. That is why we of the West should love Israel and show Israel the support it is entitled to. More shame on us for not doing it.
15. Stunt
David ,   London   (08.13.06)
I like this story, but I don't think it'll work. Try another one. Who do u think we r dealing with? They are Lebanese not towerheads
16. I agree with #2
ALSO UNBELIEVABLE ,   Israel   (08.13.06)
We always do the merciful thing...His people WILL be informed, but we get NOTHING!!! NO INFORMATION AT ALL ON OUR SOLDIERS KIDNAPPED!!! WE ARE SUCH FRIARS!!! ITS TRUE, WE MUST OBEY TORAH! SUCH PAIN TO DO THE G-DLY THING THOUGH!
17. unresponsable journalist
Tamara ,   Israel   (08.13.06)
very nice from the journalist to publish the name of this Hezbollah guman: now his famliy know he is alive and well. Did the journalist had a single though for our 3 kidnapped soldiers? Their relatives and families have been hold for a month without any knowledge about them, wether their are alive or not!!!! Amazingly stupid!!!
18. To Chris LA
Alison ,   Israel   (08.13.06)
"You don't count victory by the amount of people killed... " Then how is it that the world is so caught up with the number of dead on each side? Israel is the evil agressor because there are more dead in Lebanon than in Israel. Does intent count for nothing? Hizbullah have shot over 3000 rockets into Israel. As we have seen a direct hit with one of these things can kill 8 to 12 people no problem. So if hizbullah had been successful with each rocket there would now be at least 24,000 dead civilians in Israel. And the world wants to preach about proportional!!!!!!
19. Well, i guess this summarize it all
Me   (08.13.06)
It only proves that Israel told only the truth . It shows that the IDF is a humanitarian army. It shows that Israel realy facing for peace. It show that the Hizbulla told only lies. It shows that Hizbulla even lied to his soldiers in order for Nasralla to look good. It proves that Isreal defended itself and not the one started the whole thing. It shows to the whole world that those fantic militias groups cant be trusted. This war caused painful casualties in both sides and all for some sickness of one dumb fanatic person. NASRALLA. He should be captured and put to Intl' trial for his crimes against humanity.
20. #13 WHAT ARE WE THINKING
(08.13.06)
Yes, as usual, our humanity will be considered weakness in the arab world. Yet we MUST continue to be humane even to the enemy.
21. Be humain being
ben Belggar ,   Saada   (08.13.06)
this his right to get medical treatment and he has the right not to say anything He is prisoner of war
22. Give him a chance and he'll blow up the Ward .
Alan ,   SA   (08.13.06)
23. No.7
Genie ,   UK   (08.13.06)
There is no proof whatsoever that these soldiers are alive. Don't forget that Hezbollah and Hamas have form in previous atrocities - remember the two soldiers who were thrown out of a window? Short memory. Israeli hospitals treat everyone the same. I know firsthand.
24. # 13 - Then you are better person than I
Talula ,   Israel   (08.13.06)
I would have left him to die, right on the spot where he fell.
25. ignorance
the truth ,   london   (08.13.06)
how pathetic...i remember seeing what israel calls 'hizbullah captives' n one of them had a tattoo on his arm..hezboollah soldiers are not allowed to have tattoos...another failure for israeli inelligence i say. hezbollah have won the war, donnt be fooled by ur government, many more soldiers have died than have been told..merkava tanks hahahaha the best technology in the world...down the drain!
26. SEE SCUMBAGS - WE ARE NOT LIKE YOU.
Ertok   (08.13.06)
Where are you now smart ass Israel kickers? This is how Israel operates ALL THE TIME. We know how to treat other humans irrespective of circumstances - even those who want to kill us. We all know if it were left to you guys, the situation reversed - EVERYONE OF US "CIVILIANS" WOULD DIE LIKE DOGS. Israel would be a big pile of JEWMEAT!
27. pleased to hear
peleg   (08.13.06)
pleased to hear that the man is treated well. I prefer to be among humans and not un-humans. I refuse to be like them or to think like them or act like them!
28. Lars, here is the deal
prankman ,   il   (08.13.06)
lars buddy listen... you are reading an israeli paper and i am pretty sure that us israelis will not go and blab to anyone outside the country what we are doing to this freedom fighter...so it is up to you to keep your mouth shut as well--then no one except us will know about this windfall bonanza that has fallen at our feet...
29. Thanks, can you hospitalize the 1000's injured in Lebanon
Libyan ,   Libya   (08.13.06)
Thanks, and consider the effect of the tomes of bombs landing on Lebanon and the number of casualities caused, to look after IDF prisoners would be a task not easy to do.
30. There is no cease-fire
Yasmine ,   Lebanon   (08.13.06)
Maybe that's why he hasn't heard about it?
