31. Peace Now!
Ehud ,   Hiroshima, JAPAN   (08.14.06)
Peace at last. We were late, we lost a lot, but as #23 beautifuly mentioned, we are the winners if we can make long lasting peace! Hope these last days are the last days of war that Israel will experience. and I urge the IDF to retreat and leave lebanon as fast as possible, without any more harm.
32. does oeace now understand how they hate us?
goel   (08.14.06)
the left wing in israel likes to pretend all we need is love and the middle east would accept us. what utter fools! please watch the faces and expressions of al jazeera newscasters.they embody the hatred of the middle east for the jews.
33. the most active haters of jews in the world
goel   (08.14.06)
the satellite stations without doubt are the most pernicious spreaders of anti semitism in the modern world. they are the enemy of israel.they cause as much damage to israel as the terrorists in gaza and lebanon.
34. this is a trick
(08.14.06)
they occupy half the country and say its time for cease fire...what kind of logic does that apply.
35. #24
(08.14.06)
Its a free world, and we all want free press. I read aljazeera.. i see no hate towards to jews. then afgain you saying something against Israeli treatement of arabs is not concerning jewish religion. Dont bend the truth
36. To Mike, re 18
Jim ,   Houston, USA   (08.14.06)
Oh, believe me, Mikie, my response would be way more rational than yours and your government's. You people have no common sense. You need to attend an introductory course on stereotyping and common sense buddy. Huh...and my government gives you miserable souls all those billions every year...what a waste. Spending the money on curing mad cow disease would have been better. Adios, Mikie.
37. #4 loser
Mizgav Am, Israel   (08.14.06)
those who enjoy war like u and your ruthless brothers are the true loosers. goodbye......for now.......?
38. #5 for your information
Mizgav Am, Israel   (08.14.06)
Israel did not start this war, does not and never wanted a war. and if your blood hungry brothers werent so protected by the UN, Israel would have wiped all of you out with no mercy. your hizbo friends held children and civilians as shields to make sure israel would hurt them. we all know this fact. you are truely an idiot. may you and your hizbo murderers rot in hell together. GOODBYE........ for now.

40. #19 - Peleg
Tsedek ,   Israel   (08.14.06)
You're right. I've given up on them long, long ago. It's nothing to do with "the muslims" there though. It's becoz they think that Israel is arrogant. And, just imagine: someone who's always supposed to be inferior sticking their noses up in self-defence, now they couldn't tolerate that, could they? :) Tse.
41. # 28 -Still you have to stop violation....
Mustafa ,   Egypt   (08.14.06)
Wise Talula, You still have to stoop fooling. Stop Siege ; It is a Violation of the Truce.
42. Excellent
Ben Avrahom ,   Jerusalem   (08.14.06)
Brilliant result IDF. Keep up the good work. Lets face it Hizbollah was an organized (Iranian) army and they got really pasted! Considering the challenges a limited number of civilians were killed, but plenty of terrorists. Jolly Jack Nasrallah is really pathetic! Hizbollah's infrastructure was hit very, very hard and we have been provided with lots of new intelligence to deal with these vermin in the future. This government is showing zero tolerance to terrorism, and when it acts it acts with measured restraint. It would be amazing if the Lebanese people and government could now met the challenge and get their country back from the fascists, Lets wish them luck - but the prospects are not good. The future here is great! We should work together to continue building our wonderful country.
43. #14tell that to your brothers!!!!!
Mizgav Am, Israel   (08.14.06)
and the only reason why u suffered more, is because your gov't and hizbo friends don't give a damn about u....
44. #18 Well done, well said.

45. our soldiers
Jerry ,   Israel   (08.14.06)
our solders are the best . Gd bless them. Our leaders are corrupt despots, and opportunists who lost us this war because of misguided policies.

47. 41 - could you be any more stupid?
Talula ,   Israel   (08.14.06)
If we were in violation of a truce, there wouldn't BE A TRUCE!! And, right now, it's very quiet here. You REALLY are a Cretin of the highest order and you clearly know nothing about anything. Hey, why don't you go and join the UN!
48. 46 : )
Talula ,   Israel   (08.14.06)

49. The greatest victory in this war
Da dude   (08.14.06)
Will be when we remove Olmert and Kadima. This war leaves a bitter taste in Israel's mouth. I don't care whether Hizb'allah calls this victory, because even after 67' and 73' arabs were celebrating 'victory'. Our greatest enemy in this war was the pair of horrible leaders we had ante and post bellum. Sharon & Mofaz put the army in shambles by putting yes men in the top military echleon, which degraded the quality of one of the greatests fighting forces in the world. They trained the army to pull Jews out of their homes instead of training and planning for possible war with Hizb'allah, Syria, and Iran. And then taking the helm of these horrible leaders was an even worse set. Peretz & Olmert, the worthless duo. Peretz lacking any military experience could not see the situation that the IDF was better trained to evict people than to fight. And Olmert whose constant hesitation and constant castration of the military plans cost the lives of over 150 Israeli's. He has truely earned the mantle of worst Israeli PM. In the end of the day, the greatest victory we can hope to achieve is two fold. 1. That we elect bold, daring, and clever leaders who have foresight and will prepare for future scenarios instead of just hoping the problems will 'disengage' 2. That we learn from our mistakes. Diplomatically, domestically, and militarily. If we do this, then this war will be a great achievement. The fact that we end the period of Israeli naivety, beginning with Oslo, peaking with disengagement, and hopefully ending today with the end of Israel's 2nd war with Lebanon.

Mustafa ,   Egypt   (08.14.06)
So, you are going to wage war on the UN; typical of the intelligent ! Do not you have enough with the will be domestic war. The new Agranat is waiting your war lord.
51. rimsfeld understands the al jazera problem
goel   (08.14.06)
to really understand you have to watch the station yourself. they incite against israel in the most atrocious way.they cook up stories in the same way that adnan hajj has done at reuters. if there is truly an efficient world court they would be brought up for racial incitement. there will never be peace in the middle east. al jazeera represents the true face of the middle east.
52. ya mustapha
super hawk   (08.14.06)
mustapha we are the army that ended the 1973 war 101 kilometres from cairo. a war that came as a complete surprise when you attacked us together with syria.we also ended a few kilometres from damascus. sadat begged for the recue of your third army. now do you think that such a country can be threatened by a few insurgents.the most that i concede is that we are out of practice but just watch and you will see how quickly we learn
53. LOSERS....
Pierre ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (08.14.06)
This is a historical moment: lebanese patriotic fighters of hizballah have beaten hard the "untouchable" IDF... making it very touchable now. You need to think twice before you think of attacking our beloved country. Stop considering yourselves the "chosen" people and come on ground a little bit. Start acting as "everybody's equal" in this world. Then you can have peace. Return the prisoners, return Chebaa farms, stop violating our land, air and sea and then you can have peace... it is your decision. THANK YOU HEZBALLAH
54. 50 - Walk like an Egyptian - or rather run like one!
Talula ,   Israel   (08.14.06)
It's the same intelligence that kicked your asses. You don't have one iota of intelligence, because, if you did, your country and people would not be subjected to terror attacks by your Muslim brothers. Now, you run along like a good boy and worry about your own country and let us worry about ours.
55. Keeping my fingers crossed
NS ,   USA   (08.14.06)
I can't wait till the peace force gets in there and starts cleaning up in Lebonon ...The scale of the way they were dug in is going to change the whole worlds critic of this war.... war...See I think any loss is great but I think many many of the Lebonon people knew exactly what was going on, and they will have Hezbulla ..Syria...and Iran for their losses...It will be interesting..this is the 1st time I have seen an arms embargo in a UN cease fire..Hold your head up Israel. You deserve peace ....
56. War is not a nice ride across the border
lebguy ,   lebanon   (08.14.06)
During the course of this war many Israeli soldiers were killed in the battlefield and I was wondering why a few hundreds of killed soldiers is considered as a disaster and it can change the whole internal situation in israel , while Israel has hundreds of thousands of soldiers and more. Why building a huge army ? aren't they supposed to go to war someday and with the possiblility to die ? did the israeli administrastion think that the war is just a nice ride on board of a tank across the border ? Another suspicious questions that each one of you guys should ask to you Gov. why in 1982 when the situation was by far different that now, Israel sent more than 150000 soldiers and more than 300 tanks, while in this war there was just few troops going to war int he first 2 weeks ? wake up and try to find out what is going on ?
57. read this plz
Micheew ,   Germany   (08.14.06)
I told you that -we will loose -this is not a war for us, they have 'unknown weapons" -we have to negociate, to give them back their prisoneers and return home ours -we have to leave shebba farms -we have to do peace with Syria, it is not impossible -we have to stop to be arrogant -we have to try to create "new" relationships with arabs -we have to take care of US mentality -we have to respect our neighboors -we have to understand the source of the problems of the ME area and try to solve it -we have to understand the arab mentality instead of changing it -we have to understand that if we give him a part of what they ask for, we will have peace -we have to understand that we have no choice, if we want PEACE -we have to help them in the subjects where the are in need (finance) -we are a minority -hizbullah is not a terrorist party, it is a restance created by our domination, a natural thing BELIEVE ME, WE HAVE TO RE-STUDY our subject -in summary, we have to give up our arrogant mentality thanks a lot for your attention
