As far as I'm concerned, Livni came off as the only realist in the whole Olmert government. She didn't make stupid, arrogant and boastful statements like Olmert, Peretz and Halutz. According to reports, she knew the offensive wouldn't work two days into it. Also she was the one who suggested delaying the major invasion in waiting for the UN resolution and she probably saved many Israeli and Lebanese lives with that.

Not every smart lawyer is able to be a PM or Foreign Secretary. As the saying goes:"There is NO honor amongst thieves"! After all they cam to their position by subterfuge and by abandoning life-long held ideologies. Anyone who can do that so easily will always be suspicious of another. From what I read in Amira Lam's article about Livni, I realised that she has been enlisted by Olmert's people to blacken Livni in the eyes of the public. Well it won't work. The public wants a clever and clean leader and that is Livni; she will be Israel's next PM, and when you think about it, in her actions she already is. In trying to fight her he only weakens himself. Olmert is just plain jealous of her, and cannot compete with her popularity. There will be more attempts to trash her and it's important to understand what Lam did was not professional reporting, shame on her!

Kadima is a party of political opportunists that forms coalitions with other political opportunists. We see where that has gotten us. These fools must go, they have exposed themselves as insufficiently experienced and doing outright damage to the future of the Jewish People in the Land of Israel with what they pathetically bleat is 'leadership' when in fact it is incompetence. Woe unto a nation that has the likes of Olmert and Peretz leading the affairs of state and the military. Perhaps if Peretz was still in the Histradut, at least he could have taken care of the citizens of the North and it wouldn't have fallen onto volunteers. Remember how Olmert and Peretz complained about the "whining" of the terror victims in Sderot? These bums must go. Now. New elections. Now. jWe can't afford to wait. The people of Israel should focus on who is good for Israel. This should not be limited to a choice between Livni and Olmert. Livni, if anything, is more incompetent than Olmert. Get rid of the whole lot of these leftwing cowards and return real leadership to Israel to try to salvage something out of the disaster these incompetents have brought about. Israel will not survive 5 more years without strong leadership, and it sure isn't found with Livni or Olmert or any of their ilk.
