1. ISRAELI LEADERS DESPICABLE BETRAYAL of KIDNAPPED IDF
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.14.06)
As brave IDF heroes fight and die for Israel, IDF soldiers are forced to suffer the anguish and demoralization of leaders who refuse to stand behind them. The lives of courageous IDF mean absolutely nothing to Israel's leaders who are cruel to Jews, but repeatedly show mercy to Israel's enemies. The resolution only refers to a return of the kidnapped soldiers in its preamble and not among the document's actual clauses. There is no mention of the kidnapped soldier in the south, Gilad Shalit." For the first time in the history of Israel, Israel's leaders surrender in war and treasonously support the UN Resolution which threatens Israel's survival.
2. WHY,OLMERT PROMISED TO FREE THEM HIMSELF?
Lebanese ,   Lebanon   (08.14.06)
or as always he never means what he says, loool
3. kidnapped soldiers
magenah ,   USA   (08.14.06)
the fact theat the soldiers are not being redeemed is unsupportable! The PM should resign, first he divides the land, then fails the redeem our protectors! I would not like to be him, he is surely under Ha Shems judgement!

5. Ditto #2 We're All Wondering The Same - Olmert Has to Go!

6. You lost
Rustum ,   London, UK   (08.14.06)
Huh. After four weeks during which your airforce attempted to obliterate a once beautiful and thriving country, and your land forces attempted to drive out all the civilians from the south, it seems that Israel is worse off then you were before you started the war. Two kidnapped soldiers - still not released, thousands of rockets landed on your settlements, almost two hundred dead... and all for what? Just so that Israel can show yet again that "bashing the Arabs" is just about the only solution you have for any political problem - and we haven't even mentioned the horrendous destruction being inflicted on Gaza, the closure of the West Bank and the fact that you have made the lives of millions of Palestinians even grimmer than they were one month ago. And you Israelis wonder why people in the neighbouring countries don't accept you with open arms. I believe that, apart from a very small percentage of fascist Lebanese who welcomed your operation, you have set back the cause of reconciliation and peace for about 50 years. This has nothing to do specifically with the government of Olmert and his useless stooge Livni, but more to do with the Israeli ideology whereby might is right. The sad assumption is that, had you negotiated for the soldiers, you might well have 150 less dead Israelis, because the world would have put pressure on teh Lebanese and Hizbulla to free the soldiers. However, nothing has changed. You still have your hundreds of LEbanese prisoners, your thousands of Palestinian prisoners - i.e. the festering suppurating sore that is your suppression of freedoms and your outlaw activities is still as it was, if not worse. The end result of your actions has been to act has the most glorious recruiting office for people throughout the Arab world who know thing of Hizbullah as the local heros, who consider Hizbullah to have won - and who have seen, in minute by minute coverage, just how much hatred, contempt and derision Israel has for its non-Jewish citizens and for Arabs in general. Well done Israel!

Rectum...Oops, I mean Rustum, you said "thousands of rockets landed on your "settlements"... I guess to you the entire State of Israel is a freaking settlement. For your information, the rockets landed in cities in Israel proper. They didn't land in any settlements.
8. What Headline should read
(08.14.06)
Olmert: "I have no time to worry about these losers, so let Former Shin Bet Deputy Chief Ofer Dekel worry about them". Olmert resign now. I am ashamed to be Jewish today. Israel needs a leader, that we can regain our moral and be proud once again. Must we feel ashamed?
9. A Disgrace.....
marc ,   london   (08.14.06)
I hate to say it, but in part I must agree with my fellow Londoner, Rustum.... However....Rustum, when are you going to get it into your thick head that Muslims in Middle East do not care about life, they care about a glorified death. The idea that Israel can exist causes them hate and anger... With all your dislike of Israel, how would you have felt if you had family flying to the States this week and the British police hadn't uncovered the plot?!?!? Would your views be the same? Is there any difference between the men who fight within Hezbollah, the 9/11 or 7/7 terrorists, the Hamas rank and file or the guys willing to blow up the airplanes?!? Rustum - wake up and smell the coffee!!! You have the freedom of expression over her. Your wife doesn't have to wear a black sheet and walk 10 feet behind you. Your daughters are allowed to get an education, work, vote and drive! When Islam grows up and the preachers recognise and teach that life is more valuable than death, maybe then we will have peace in the Middle East. Maybe then we will stop having groups like Hezbollah and Hamas bent on trying to destry, rather than create and maybe then people like Rustum will help defeat terrorism.....!!! No country has ever defeated cowardly terrorists who hide like dogs in the crowd, or who melt into the civilian population....it is not possible. BUT, in this case it is possible to demonstrate that societies which tolerate, and even aid, terrorists wil not be left unscathed. Well done IDF, well done Israel, but remove Olmert and find someone with a little more conviction and less care as to their international media image!!!!! That way the goals can be achieved quicker.....
10. To #6: you are forever lost!
Ed ,   Boston, USA   (08.14.06)
Rustum, are you already recruited by Hizbullah, or it is to come? Why don't you go to Lebanon, and contribute! Your Hizbullah rejects the ceasefire anyway, and your help will be needed! By the way, do you recognize the right of Israel to exist, and the right of jews all over the world to live in peace?
11. Effin' unbelievable
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (08.14.06)
Does Olmert actually think that appointing someone to oversee the return of the soldiers does anything to mask his stupendous, colossal failures? Boggles the mind.
12. Minister of what?!
Leah ,   Canada   (08.14.06)
"Transpiration Minister Shaul Mofaz.." Yep. I'd be sweating too if I was attacking PM Olmert. Typos can be so much fun.
