1. BIBI tiyeh bari
(08.14.06)
2. Bibi also missing the point.
N B shalom   (08.14.06)
The wake up call should be obvious return to hashem and his Torah and Mitzvot. Which one og the Halochot is not to give one Iota of land whether they agree to peace or not. Think about the following How is it in the six day war we smashed all the arab armies in six days. How is it that in Yom Kipur we smashed two armies Miraculously but took longer and how is it that with Hizbala (lets not kid our selfs) we suffered a defeat. lets open our eyes There is almighty that is fighting for us he gave us a present, in the six day war a great deal of land to provide us with security placed fear in the hearts and mind of the arabs to the point that they wanted to flee from our midst. Yet somehow Israel at least some interpreted that as their power and the arab weakness so they wanted to show the world how nice they are and convinced the arabs to stay and immediately told the UN (which the UN never expected this) they will return most of the land(Never happened in history and imagine what would happen if the arabs would have won). Then came Yom Kipur war when reliance on our might was kind of shattered the first few days when a great percentage of our planes were destroyed in the first few hours of the war but we were victorious with the help of almighty. So we should have learnt to rely only on Hashem but then started coming the process of retreat first Camp David up to the unspeakable crime against our brothers in the south expulsion by Jews against Jews in Gush Katif. So the People in the north and in large parts of the country never relised that they might be the victim of daily bombardment of rockets so they they did not care for their brothers and sisters in the south and some even demonized the settlers (Looking in the media and talkbaks) and voted in Kadima Jokers leading the country. The lesson let us return to almighty lets start with puting on tefilin every day, women Lightin shabbos candles and going to Mikvah and there is no doubt that we will victorious. Just to remind every one what the Lubavitcher Rebbe prophesized that Moshiach is on his way
3. Netanyahu's speech
James ,   Eugene, USA   (08.14.06)
Americans are moving toward cutting bait with the Middle East because they are tired of bearing the brunt of sacrafice. Israel would be wise to heed his words as other Democracies only care about Cheap Oil.
4. Bibi
Sherry Hillan ,   Arlington TX USA   (08.14.06)
I agree...it was a reprieve and a wake up call...
5. BIBI
dom muscella ,   DEERFIELD BEACH,U.S.   (08.14.06)
BIBI, MY FREIND, I ADMIRED YOU THE FIRST TIME I HEARD YOU SPEAK.I TRY TO CATCH EVERY APPEARANCE YOU MAKE ON THE T.V. AND NEWS PAPER YOUR IDEAS ARE EXACTLY LIKE MINE I REALLY BELEIVE YOU SHOULD'VE TAKEN OVER THE REIGNS OF ISREAL GOD BLESS YOU MY FREIND...
6. Israel needs a new blood, new ideas.
AK   (08.14.06)
Bibi is capable administrator, no doubt about it, but Israel didn't gain internationally or in terms of security during his Premiership. Israel needs somebody with a stiffer backbone, where the US is concerned. Also somebody who understands that quiet talks in the White House will never be as effective as a diffect appeal to the American people -- after Saudi oil money cannot buy every single one of us.
7. The Problem Was Not Unilateral Withdrawal.
H ,   Jerusalem   (08.14.06)
The problem was WITHDRAWAL. PERIOD! This G-d given land belongs to Israel and ONLY TO ISRAEL. No PART of may be given away to ANYONE (let alone to our enemies). That's what happens if there's no Torah. If there's no Torah, there's no understanding. And if there's no understanding, how can you be a leader of this G-d given country?
8. Bibi is our secret weapon. Beware Hizbezzzz
Mike ,   Israel   (08.14.06)
9. ISRAELI LEADERS DESPICABLE BETRAYAL of KIDNAPPED IDF
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.14.06)
As brave IDF heroes fight and die for Israel, IDF soldiers are forced to suffer the anguish and demoralization of leaders who refuse to stand behind them. The lives of courageous IDF mean absolutely nothing to Israel's leaders who are cruel to Jews, but repeatedly show mercy to Israel's enemies. The resolution only refers to a return of the kidnapped soldiers in its preamble and not among the document's actual clauses. There is no mention of the kidnapped soldier in the south, Gilad Shalit." For the first time in the history of Israel, Israel's leaders surrender in war and treasonously support the UN Resolution which threatens Israel's survival.
10. UN RESOLUTION of HATE, DECEIT & RACISM for ISRAEL
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.14.06)
Extreme HATE: Responsibility for compliance of the resolution is given to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, infamous for his fanatical hatred of Israel. Extreme DECEIT: Equivalency is made between Iran's Hizbullah terrorist army' vicious unprovoked acts of war against Israel - over 3,000 rockets fired at Israel and Israel's self-defense operations which the resolution refers to as "offensive" military operations. Images show Hizbullah using high-density residential areas to launch rockets: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,,19955774-5007220,00.html Extreme RACISM: The damage and destruction to Israel is enormous. Israel's economy is devastated. Destruction in some Israeli towns is far worse than experienced by most people in the Lebanese cities of Beirut and Sidon. Profound Jew-hate is revealed in the resolution which asks for financial and humanitarian assistance for Lebanon the aggressor - but no assistance whatsoever for Israel the victim. Extreme DECEIT: The Lebanese government and Hizbullah are one and the same. The US, EU, UN are fully aware that Hizbullah terrorists are part of Lebanon's government and that the Lebanon government actively colludes with Hizbullah: YNETNEWS (08.12.06, 16:52) Siniora accepts deal, praises Hizbullah ...steadfastness of resistance fighters in field was very important,' http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3290107,00.html Extreme DISHONESTY: In 2,000, the UN determined that Israel had withdrawn to the international border. The resolution places Shaba Farms - legally belonging to Israel - up for negotiation. The laws of nations forbids land taken through aggression. The US, EU, UN unlawfully seek to reward Lebanon/Hizbullah/Iran for their unprovoked war of aggression against Israel. Extreme RACISM and DECEIT: In calling for disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon, the US, EU, UN are fully aware Hizbullah will NEVER disarm and know they are giving Lebanon/Hizbullah victory over Israel and a massive victory for Syria and Iran, who sponsor Hizbullah in Iran's war against Israel and the free world. In the global war to bring all nations under Islamic subjugation, the US, EU, UN empowerment of global jihad wickedly betrays Israel and the world's non-Muslims. 11. TIME FOR ELECTIONS!!!!! GO BIBI!!!!!!!!
ben Avraham ,   tel Aviv   (08.14.06)
12. Bibi you would be just as bad, we need real right winger!
(08.14.06)
13. Israel needs right wing nut job to survive!
(08.14.06)
14. Is Bibi.......
marc ,   london   (08.14.06)
.....good or bad for Israel?!? On the one hand, his handling of himself just before the dis-enagagement was pitiful and I'm not sure if I trust him as a result.... BUT on the other hand, I heard him speak on BBC News 24 Hardtalk and he was quite impressive. He was a fantastic 1-man PR machine....and he would have given me more confidence that Israel was going to do everything neccessary to wipe out the threat from Hezbollah...... Olmert does not give me the same confidence! What is the Israeli (and international) view of this man? Is he the next Prime Minister?!?
15. BiBi => Reagan's spirit indwelled/manifested
Phillip Gran ,   Phoenix, USA   (08.14.06)
Love You BiBi !!!
16. You are not better showman
(08.14.06)
Don't forget that you was ready to sign a peace agreament with Arafat .... stop your show ... you are just hunting in the dirty water .... we know you well
17. Bibi = Bush
World Citizen ,   the world   (08.14.06)
Same bravado, some old warmongering BS. If Bibi is the best Israel has then Israel's days are surely numbered. And why don't you religious kooks give it a rest. Your "G_d" gave you nothing. You occupy the lands your military, through brute force, stole from the true owners (i.e. the Palestinians). It is that simple. Take the religious mumbo-jumbo down the street. No citizen of the civilized world buys that crap.
18. What Bibi Did NOT Say
David ,   Baltimore, USA   (08.14.06)
Will we now also sit idly by while the madman Ahmadinejad perfects his atomic bomb?
19. N B is right
Sean ,   Tampa, Florida   (08.14.06)
a return to seeking God's power and His will can overcome any enemy. It's when a nation relies on itself that at times God allows them to win or lose by themselves. Reading my Old Testament I can see time and time again that God's hand of favor is removed from nations at time. It's only through the people seeking Him that it returns. As a Christian, I pray often for the safety of my brothers in Israel. My our God help you destroy these enemies...regardless of what the world says. There are far too many that don't care about the fate of Israel to worry about what the world thinks. Peace only comes through victory and defeat. Cease Fires only delay and allow the weaker to restock. Sean
20. We need someone with balls : GO TSIPPI
Margie in Tel Aviv ,   Israel   (08.14.06)
Both Olmert and Bibi suffer from fluctuating opinions. Bibi finds it all too much for him and vanishes into obscurity from time to time. He isn't leader material. Olmert is a good actor when he has a good director. But he is not a leader himself. Tsippi Livni should have the chance. She has shown wisdom and quiet confidence. Perhaps she has the other qualities needed.
21. Not so fast
Binky ,   Nutley, NJ   (08.14.06)
Those expecting a speedy exit by the current Israeli prime minister should recall Neville Chamberlain. Like Tremolo, Chamberlain had been a mayor (Birmingham). Unlike Tremolo, Chamberlain betrayed another country rather than his own. In any event, even after Germany had invaded Poland and Chamberlain--his appeasement policy in ruins around his feet--was pressed into declaring war, it took nearly eight more months to effect his resignation as Prime Minister. And that was with a real political system, rather than this thing Israel has.
22. HA.
AMERICAN Citizen ,   America   (08.14.06)
Dear World Citizen, Your rabid anti-Semitism is showing. You may want to zip that up. Seems to me, whether or not God gave Israel to the Jews, that they were the ones who originally settled the area, the ones who originally built Jerusalem, and the ones who were originally driven out by Babylonian, Roman, and finally Muslim (read: the Religion of Peace...yeah, right) occupiers. The Jews were there first, the Ottoman Turks came in afterward. So, when it comes down to it, it really is their land. So, take your terrorist-sympathizing pseudo-intellectual bullcrap and go home. No INTELLIGENT citizen of the world buys that crap.
23. look who's talking now
moe ,   montreal, Canada   (08.14.06)
Bibi, who can forget the man? he was once a PM and he achieved nothing at all, is he crying now for a second chance? whoever will be the new PM -I don't Olmert is gonna last for long, clock is ticking- has to understand that there are some prices has to be paid if they are looking for peace. lebanon who was a weak country is not like that anymore, today they can defence well, who knows that they can't even advance next time, and the other countries are learning from this experience. let's face it, there is land has to go where it belong for the price of peace, there are people have to get their rights, there is fucked up system has bo be fixed in order to make peace within and with people outside. Think human rights, think democracy, think equality, think about not briniging whoever and make them citizens, instead work with the ones who are already inside. time is changing, changing fast, and U.S, today they are here, tomorrow, who knows?!!
24. POLITICIANS VS LEADERS
Larry ,   N.Y. U.S.A.   (08.14.06)
SPEECHES ARE ALL WELL AND GOOD BUT THEY SOLVE NOTHING. THE HATE WILL ALWAYS BE THERE BUT THE FACILITATORS ARE IN TEHRAN. UNTIL THEY ARE REMOVED THE SITUATION WILL ONLY WORSEN.
25. Israel defense
sue winn ,   Okla. City, OK   (08.14.06)
It is difficult to understand WHY Israel even considered much less accepted ANYTHING proposed by the crooks at the U.N. Israel now has been sandbagged and will suffer greatly due to agreement with U.N. This is a win for terrorist and will certainly give them time to re-group & add more weapons. Did Israel lose it's backbone?
26. #17 World Citizen
DK   (08.14.06)
Dear World Citizen, before you submit your biased opinions, check the history or just read this quick info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel
27. Bibi has the survival spirit
Char ,   Dallas, Tx   (08.14.06)
that once belonged to Golda Meier and David Ben Gurion. They would not have yielded an inch. They would have fought from the waters rather rather than give an inch to a terrorist group. Is Bibi the only one who has remembered that this "war" is about more than land - it is about the survival of a nation.
28. No one buys this "world citizen" BS either
WL ,   USA   (08.14.06)
First off, let me correct your history. Israel never stole any land. The European allied powers after WW2 took the middle east that were under ally control and the Germans lost and divi up according to ethnic boundaries. And decided to give a tiny land to the Jews they call Israel. Secondly, If you call yourself a "citizen" of the world", you're living in Lala Land. Calling yourself that implies there should be a leader of the world, hence a "supreme ruler". There wouldnt be any land "owners" or nations. People who self proclaim citizens of the world are just euthamisms for dictorship and sympathizer of such ideology. You just contradicted yourself, you socialist commie pacifist.
29. #12
larry ,   ZEFAT ISRAEL   (08.14.06)
unfortunately you are right.netanyahu is a wonderful talker but it is just that...talk.he is untrustworthy and just as opportunistic as olmert simpson.the great white hope...not
30. Ye, Bibi is missing the point!
michael rosenberg ,   Brookly New York   (08.14.06)
To survive, the imperative is not to protect yourself but destroy them so as not to have to fight them again another day.
