1. International relations? with the Palestinians?
Talula ,   Israel   (08.16.06)
The world will never want any sort of relations with the Palestinians. They are simply backward savages who do not have a legal system where collaborators with Israel are tried in a court of law, but rather shot dead in the street and their dead body abused. See the following link: http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?ei=UTF-8&p=Jenin&c=&fr=&c=news_photos - if they want any sort of normal relations with the international community, then surely, they need to start to think and behave like an international community and not a bunch of savages.

Rustum ,   London, UK   (08.16.06)
It's a bit rich coming from you to complain about the Palestinian treatment of collaborators. I seem to remember that you were calling for what you call "traitors" to be executed - so what's the difference? How do you think your government gets its intelligence about buildings, militants' activities in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, southern Lebanon, if not through a complicated network of Lebanese and Palestinian collaborators, who make a little call on their mobile phones with the result that the Israeli airforce flattens a few more buildings. The whole issue of collaborators is intensely complicated. Shabak uses many methods, including sexual blackmail, to force Palestinians and Lebanese collaborators to cooperate. In Jewish demonology, the dreaded "kapo" is the only comparable concept - and I don't think that even you would be writing in favour of paid holidays for kapos. However, all these words are really wasted on you - since your bigotted brain can see nothing but evil in your Arab neighbours, and you would not be able to grasp the fact that the collaborators are caught between a rock and a hard place. Don't collaborate and the Shabak will poison your life and social network. Collaborate and risk the wrath of the mob if discovered. As for your other comment, about the Palestinians being "a bunch of savages" - that is a typical grotesque generalisation on your part. However, the greatest assemlage of looting and murderous savages belong to the army of your government.
4. Staging new drama for international audience
KMR ,   Middle East   (08.16.06)
Since mentor Nasrallah not emerging from the rubble (atleast for time being), Haniyeh staging new drama for international audience.
5. Partners in teror now Abbas has cross hairs on his head.
Mike ,   Israel   (08.16.06)
Some peaple in talk think they know how the Israeli system works. I find that amazing since all they know is the fictional books they have read in the past. There only 2 ways you would know how the Shabak worksk, 1 if you worked with them or 2 if you where a guest. My thinking of Rustum that in must of been a guest . The Palastiens are savages of the lower form since if you where visting there town you would surley be buthcherd right quick. Rustum that sounds good to me and most of the talkbacks here i know there is a great hotel in 'Gaza how about a trip.

7. Rustum: Key word you used is "MOB". How can u defend them?
DANNY   (08.16.06)
Oh that's right they are a indefensable... Mob... your word not mine.
8. For a "national unity" they first need to be a Nation,
Herut Zion ,   UK   (08.16.06)
and they are not only divided by "modern" situations like ideologies and parties but by family, clans, religious sects they bring from their recent ancestors in neighbouring countries like Egypt and Syria, where they should return, or even move to Jordan, who should be really called The Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine.
9. To 3
Shai ,   Israel   (08.16.06)
Paragraph 1: the difference is that Israel doesn't execute its traitors, even though some want to. Paragraph 2: The "collaborators" are simply Palestinian "peace activists" seeking to undermine Palestinian mobsters for the sake of peace. I imagine that's how you'd see Arab and leftist MK's in Israel's parliament, Israeli attornies who charge Israelis with war crimes, writers and journalists who act as advocates for the Palestinian cause - yet none of them are under death threats. Why do you think that is? Paragraph 3: Kapos were like most other Europeans, such as yourself, in that, as Winston Churchill once said, they appease the tiger to ensure they are the last eaten". Palestinian peace activists, those whom you call "collaborator" are merely trying to bring peace. Big difference between those who stab others in the back to save their own skin (kapos) vs those who are merely kindly souls who wish for peace between two peoples. Paragraph 4: What, Palestinians know nothing about poisoning the credentials of professors, politicians and organizations who support Israel, such that the Shabak can hold a candle to them? Academic and commerical boycotts are not common? Threatening people who don't tow the Palestinian line with not getting tenure in universities, threatening movie producers with not having their films shown, etc? Aren't you a bit unaware of the glass house you cast rocks in? Paragraph 5: Dispute the claim, Rustum - don't be guilty of equally "grotesque generalization" when referring to Israel's government and army.
10. work for peace not war
Fbannourah ,   Birmingham/UK   (08.19.06)
Peace you make with your enemy not your friend.Israel should encourage a palestinian national unity goverment and start a real peace process to establish a viable palestine on the 1967 occupied territories, then Israel will live in peace and the whole region will prosper i.e peace and prosperity for all not only one side.
