William ,   Kansas City   (08.17.06)
who the co-sponsor to this resolution was.
32. french help...
alex ,   usa   (08.17.06)
Listening to what they said during the war, one would think they were capable of sending the whole army in Lebanon. Now they will send a whooping 200 troops :)... never mind... better to see 200 frenchmen running then a whole army.
33. Malaysia,Indonesia,Turkey...
keren ,   sao paulo   (08.17.06)
All these countries or are islamics or have their people's majority being muslims. What is this accord after all?Do they want to build an islamic army in Israel's border? Will these countries fullfil any Israel's or western's interests,or will they close their eyes same UNIFIL did by permitting hisbollah to build that underground net and arm itself up to their teeths? Isn't it good for Israel to keep a contingent there too,in order to inspect its interests?
34. This proves the French lied
Pat ,   USA   (08.17.06)
To the UN and US yet again. This is their way of saying we never had any intentions of helping to disarm the hiz, we just wanted Israel to stop firing. It's time for a combined Anglo-American-Israeli force to clean up these hiz terrorists once and for all! Mr. Olmert, you should have known better than to trust what the UN and the French leadership have to say.

Pat ,   USA   (08.17.06)
This French government decision means the ceasefire needs to end now! France is basically saying they aren't going to disarm th hiz, which is a breach of Security Council Resolutions.. Israel needs to resart the offensive, and America should send in about 5,000 warplanes to make sure no trace of the hiz is left over.
36. #29
Ska ,   Iraq   (08.18.06)
Oh please, why do Israeli's seem to want to kick the only true friend Israel has? My support of Israel is 110%, and most Americans feel the same way. We backed you during your last half-assed adventure with weapons, and our UN veto. Do you even have a clue how much bad joojoo we have incured on your behalf? You should have made good on your intent of wiping out Hizbolla! (I think you will get your chance) LIsten, spew against your enemies- and not your friends... Let's not be divided and conquered by this islamic evil, that the rest of the world seems not to notice.
37. France moves his ass to do something, not the US
Olivier ,   France   (08.18.06)
Where is the US overthere? We move our ass to do something because we're between the two side (not the side of the f......g terorists) That's sure that Bush's policy can't be a solution We just want the peace, not WAR
38. You whine too much!
Ibrahim ,   USA   (08.18.06)
If you had another choice you would have done it so shut up already. And to all the American comrads if you want to defend Israel go there freakin Whinos

And if the hiz keeps playing around with the West, we are going to bomb their lights out, permanently! Stupid towel heads.

41. To Keren, #33
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (08.18.06)
Hi Keren, I've seen your talkbacks here and there, attagirl! 'Bom te encontrar de novo!' Well, I believe that Turkey is pretty much OK and reliable, but Indonesia and especially Malaysia seems to be totally unacceptable. Do you know that Malaysia is one of the most rabidly anti-semitic regime, in and out of the Middle East? I mean, truly anti-semitic, they don't even bother to disguise it as 'anti-zionism' as others do... For me, the less Frenchmen in the force, the better...and Germany is also unacceptable, for obvious reasons... And by the way, have you heard about our country's refusal to participate in the force? Lula and Amorim like to pretend we're major leaguers, but it seems that Haiti is too much for our army to handle right now...anyhow, it's for the best, given the well known leanings of our diplomacy...'dureza, hein?' Hope to hear from you soon! Take care, 'se cuida que acabou de acontecer 1 arrastão na 23 de maio!' Flávio
42. #36.. there is no true friend of Jew but a Jew
Aron ,   NYC USA   (08.18.06)
Everyone wants to either use or wipe out Jews. the US supports us only because it serves its interests not because we are so dear to it. everytime the US stopped on from finishing our job or "helped" us we ended up losing. so much for you help and promises. may be you guys are jinxed or something, huh? so shut up, keep your 110% support and enjoy your Iraqi adventure, meanwhile make sure to get a couple Viet-cong style souvenirs on your way out. You guys are the ones stirred this Shia problem and now we have to deal with the consequences with the IDF blood.
43. Olmert's peace:400 French troops. wow
alan ,   bugadi@adelphia.net   (08.18.06)
400 is double 200 Chirac is a genius and a woosey
44. To 37
Jewish American ,   USA   (08.18.06)
Ok Frenchy, number one, 400 troops will not do SH** against any armed group. Second of all, what did France do during the whole clash!? They sat there, and praised hezbollah!?! To be honest, I'm surprised there even sending 1 solider there. I am glad you hate those terrorists, but if these people truley wanted peace, we would have had it a looong time ago. I am sorry, but THAT is the harsh reality of it.
45. 200 french troops enough to protect Lebanon from poor IDF
Parpaillou ,   PARIS   (08.18.06)
46. LIERS! WUSSIES! SO CALLED "peace keepers"
(08.17.06)
47. The whole world screamed at israel for nothing.
(08.17.06)
48. To Israelis blaming the US...
Pat ,   USA   (08.18.06)
You should remember the French government said they would send in thousands of troops when this matter was agreed to. Maybe chirac the quack fears the islamic terrorists in France will start rioting again?? If that's the case it shows a tremendous lack of courage on his part. In any event, the US is not to blame for France's lies.
49. #42 Delusional!
Ska ,   Iraq   (08.18.06)
"Everyone wants to either use or wipe out jews"? You are paranoid, since I for one wish to do neither. Maybe we ARE jinxed, if your words are indicative of our friends attitudes. We didn't stir up this shia problem, as you well know- & that was cheap. This has been building for years. Americans in Iraq meant that Israel wasn't fighting Syria, Iraq, and Iran as well as Hisbolla in the recent hostilities. I am not in Iraq on any adventures,(not military) & I don't need souvenirs. Iraqi's are nice people who try to provide for their families as best they can. I can say the same about Israeli's. BTW- don't shut up! Trolls are great entertainment!
50. Flávio # 41
keren ,   sao paulo   (08.18.06)
I didn't know about the "arrastão"(difficult to translate this word-kind of public mass atack ,performed by bandits). Yes...I don't like actual brasilian rulers, neither their position towards Israel. But ,as you say ,everything is for the best, even if we don't notice right now. Take care too, Keren
51. UN Order!
Randy ,   OKC, USA   (08.18.06)
Give me a cheese dog and hold the kraut!
52. Sorry, Repeat that UN Order!
Randy ,   OKC, USA   (08.18.06)
Okay, Give me 400 cheese dogs and hold the kraut! 400 cheese dogs coming up! This may take a while though. I have an order of French and German waffles to serve up first! They ordered 15000 a week ago. Still working on it. Waffles? Our customers are sick of waffles. I know, but when the UN is in town that is all they order. Whats that smell? I think the UN resolutions have gone bad. Got anything Kosher back there? Nope, not here. Kosher just doesn't sell anymore. Oh
53. #38 (your IQ)
Ricky Bobby ,   Talladega, USA   (08.18.06)
You list the USA as your mailing address. I pray to God (not allah) that that is the case. One of these days, and soon I hope, it will be open season on all the Islamofacists who have suckled off the tit of the USA. You have lived good here. You would be hard pressed to find a more accepting and free country. But alas, you hate it here and you hate this country. Soon, it will suck to be you here in the US. I realize that people like don't care about your life or the lives of those around you. We, as a nation, will continue to defend Israel. Us "freakin whinos" are not your "comrads". Do not ask for whom the bell tolls, Ibrahim, it tolls for thee. We will not have another choice.
54. French stab in the back
jvd70 ,   Amsterdam, NL   (08.18.06)
First they pressure the US to accept a watered down resolution: (a chapter 6 UNIFIL instead of a chapeter 7 NATO force), and then they refuse to support their own words with deeds. Chirac has a less than 10% approval rating in his own country and holds the world hostage with his utterly abominable alzheimerian policies.
55. Guess France has run out of Foreign Legion troops.
R ,   USA   (08.18.06)
They must've just noticed all the duplicate names on the FL rolls. This is so typical, they scream "stop! stop! Or else we'll scream "stop!" again and make some more false promises." We should've stepped aside in 1947 and let the Soviets have them. Doesn't surprise me that France is the only continental European country to offer troops, they are the only one that hasn't already disbanded their army. I'm not worried though, history shows how quickly people change their views when the sh_t hits the fan. Hell, the internment of Japanese/German civilians in the US was almost unthinkable on Dec.6, 1941. Didn't take them long to change their minds once the coffins started coming home.
56. #37 Sorry we can pay your tab again.
R ,   USA   (08.18.06)
We are already fighting Jihadists in 2other countries, besides, isn't Lebanon your baby? Stop making promises that you can't keep. Maybe Chirac needs to dangle the carrot of citizenship in front of some more foreigners and replenish the Foreign Legion so you can actually fight again. G_d forbid you risk your own citizens when someone else can do it for you. Reminds me of a dinner party where someone orders the most expensive thing on the menu, eats his fill, then runs for the door leaving everyone else at the table to pay the check. I hope you're still maintaining the US/UK/Canadian graveyards at Normandy, or have you forgotten that too?
57. wonderful, wunderbar, yes, I can understand this german forc

59. French point of vue
A French. ,   Paris, France.   (08.21.06)
Your vision of France is typically American. I find strange this eagerness to be wanted to make France a monster which would plot in the darkness. We have same the democratic sights. Take into account that the French neither are appreciated Israelis, nor appreciated of Hezbollah and keep with the spirit your current Iraqi difficulties. Note that France must compose with 3 identities: - Jewish, - Islamic, - Christian. Remember that France remains the country of the Human rights and that it remembers what is the war. You will understand, I hope for it, our will embaras and our hesitations.
