Anne, I agree with you. These are the kids taught from infantcy to hate Jews. They are beainwashed and behave like zombies. They were unfortunate from birth. It is very hard indeed to get rid of ideas programmed into your mind as a child. I think it would take a miracle to change the minds of adult Palestinians - the majority of whom have pretty bleak lives - and the reason for that is immaterial - they live bleak lives. I believe strongly in not giving in to terror, and I also believe in military resistance - I am no pacifist. But I do not believe in descending to the level of one's enemy. I think Isreal should be getting the UN and international money (don't laugh yet) as well as that from Israel, to act as an interim government in Palestine until sanity rules once more; the UN could (try to ?) make sure the people had opportunities for jobs, a proper education, and a reason to want to live and enjoy life. If that was effectively imposed on them for a few years and peace could hold, they might have a reason to think about living in peace. But as long as we allow their leaders to keep them in misery they have nothing to live for. We have to take the moral high ground to either change the next generation, because otherwise the hate and despair will go on - and Israel will not know peace. I am a very straightforwards person and have always found it hard to understand how we could ever have tolerated that people live like that - how could we ever expect anything from them but hate? This is not me saying we should give them land. No - until we can talk to someone who represents people who understand what life can be like and how they can live, we can not negotiate for a peace that will never happen. But this way leads - perhaps - to a possibility of letting them get to understand. Hezbollah and Hammas do it and add their message of hate. Why dont we show the world that jews can do it - or make it be done - with a message of peace?

Listen Rabbi, While I don't condemn all Palestinians, I am also sensible enough to know that there are lots of people all over the world who are HUNGRY, and have miserable lives BUT they don't go around blowing themselves and innocent men, women and children to bits. Plus, if they are successful in their evil deeds their mentors and supporters have a big street party to celebrate the butchery of innocents. YOU seem to be a person who has swallowed the propaganda of this islamic filth and would probably go on to demand that anyone who has the audacity to survive a suicide attack should be made to grovel and apologise for not being killed.
