33. FURTHER TO #4 COMMANDO OPERATION
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (08.19.06)
I still have to get an answer from someone..............the commando operation should have come up with some tentative results..........were the IDF able to trace smuggled arms and destroy them?
34. What the hell is going on in Israel?
Phil ,   US   (08.19.06)
How much longer is Israel going to be humiliated and abused by Olmert and his cronies? This incompetent Israeli version of Jimmy Carter accepted a UN resolution that had no chance of disarming Hezbollah or preventing it from reestablishing bases in Southern Lebanon. The fool trusted the treacherous French and the other EU members who are chronically hostile to Israel to provide troops for the force and now even that is going by the wayside. His military adventure was not properly planned and so many Israelis lost their lives for nothing. Why didn't he wait and try diplomacy , while at the same time allowing the military and intelligence communities to ptrepare for war instead of sending reservists into Lebanon without even enough basic necessities such as water? Now realizing that the UN agreement is worst than worthless, he sends brave Israeli commandos to intercept a resupply of Hezbollah that everyone knew would happen. He has to go!
35. Beilin is almost completely irrelevant - quote others please
michael ,   tel aviv & london   (08.19.06)
Beilin is of no interest to the vast majority of Israelis so why does Ynet quote him on almost every possible occasion ? Obviously somebody at Ynet is a fan of his! There are many other people that have a lot more influence (Beilin has almost none anymore) but they are hardly ever quoted - let's hear what they have to say for a change. Beilin is now almost completely irrelevant - so please - enough !
36. to eric and other israelis
Ihab ,   KSA   (08.19.06)
Eric, you make me laugh. You are fighting Lunatics? If loving your own land is a lunacy, we Arabs are all crazy. This operation is another failure for the IDF. IDF is not learning. As i was sure of the outcome of this war, remember my words: in one of these commandos operation, I hope we will be capturing another two to join their friends in the beautiful cells of the resistance....
37. TO ALL ISRAEL PEOPLE
Lebanese ,   Lebanon   (08.19.06)
the problem is not in olmert or peretz or halutz.Hizbollah didn't use his full power & more strong missiles that can reach TA & beyond TA...& Hizbollah proved that he is ready to defeat any israel operation on border or inside lebanese territory,so the only way to finish the violence in all the region & didn't mean who will be PM or MD in israel ,is to go to talkings & to give palestinians & lebanese their rights by fulfilling the UN resolutions 194,242 .This is the only way for stoping the shame to IDF that will continue if they will attack more Lebanese territory
38. a Fragile Society
Peace Seeker ,   Lebanon   (08.19.06)
Basically, Israeli people don’t know the essence of the Lebanese society. In fact, Lebanon includes 4 different religions commonly known as Christians, Druze, Sunnite, and Shiite. Only From the latter (Shiite) Hezbollah is getting his support. Such distribution is also reflected in the Lebanese army. And so for this reason, any wrong move by Israel at the moment (such as today’s operation), while the Lebanese army is present in the south, could lead to severe consequences and therefore destruction of the Lebanese army if he is forced to confront Israel. Such issue may cause catastrophic drawbacks to the counter-Hezbollah (Christians, Druze and Sunnite) in Lebanon and to the Israel people. In search of Peace
39. How does olmert feel sending other people's

40. Fool Hearted and Driven by Arrogance
Amir AL-Safir ,   Lebanon   (08.20.06)
To all of you guys who are contemplating more war and more destruction: In todays geopolitical map, the facts on the ground are more realistic than fiction. MENA, i.e. Middle East and North Africa, surrounds Israel. Since 1948, Israel has been on I.V. Life Support for much of the time since its inception. Today, MENA is calling it the Seventh War in MiddlEast. Yesterday, ISRAEL claimed that it could send her woman on Bikes to take all of Lebanon. Today, the facts are already being written into the history books as we speak. But what about Tomorrow? Well, here is a good scenario for ya'all entertainment: MENA is growing in number and determination to reclaim the past. ISL is still on I.V. life support and will be for the forseable future. When earthlings go to Mars, they have to wear life supporting articles and be supplied with Oxygen. In MENA, thats the same story with Israel. As long as ISL is on I.V., it will not be part of MENA. Israel has to come of this I.V. support and blend with MENA culture and Not the otherway round. Thats History-101 for you-all. Today, Islam is the fastest growing religion on earth... facts on the ground already. But Islam has been hijacked by the few as we know it today. But still, Social Islam is growing everywhere and it represents the ideal of what MENA believes. The current crisis is Middle-East is creating more radicals and more extremist out of Islam. This is a very crucial fact that Israel has to take into consideration now. Play it safe and stop this fool-hearted arrogance and be a team player in Middle East. Israel, you have to stop breaking the arms of the people around you. Its a dead-end game.. can't you see that. More and more radicals are regrouping and sprouting every where. Nobody wants this. Stop this poisonous philosophy of yours, its only making more enemies against you... can't you see this..oh Israel... don't be blind.. But, the real issue, is that the culture will grow on its own turf.. in MENA and that include the state of Israel. The Language is called," Arabic" and the culture is refered to as Purely Semetic Middle Eastern culture. Its up to Israelis to realise the inevitable. Whether they have Nukes, or Drones, or F16 Jets, the culture is much stronger and by far the most sophisticated tool that the earth history have ever experienced. I can easily envision that the setlers loose their European accent and heritage and blend with MENA culture and most importantly, come off this I.V. artificial life support and play a role in the MENA culture..meaning, they have to really breath the air and really drink the water and absorb the beautiful Arabic culture and be dusted off once in a while with the same dust that our prophets Abraham, Moses Jesus and Mohamad had the honor of going through. Lets Baptise you-all with a dish of Humus and Falafel as a starter and then we'll talk about the music of MENA. Welcome to MiddleEast, the land that does not forget. Amir AL-Safir
41. Actually 22#--I thought they got rid of your city very well
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (08.21.06)
They could of blown away all the Lebanese infrastructure, and you could all go live in Iran with your terrorist buddies. What did Hesbo lah lah orginization get Lebanon? A bunch of bombed out buildings, and newly acquired bunker busting bombs. Israel will change their bombs to low yield nuclear bunker busters. America wasn't going to test divine strake for no reason this summer in the Nevada desert. They already have the weapon you smuck. They just want to see how deep the terrorists will be barbequed. Hesbo Lah Lah got a bunch of innocent people killed with their terrorist antics. They won nothing in return---just Lebanese and Israeli misery. Hitler did as much for the Germans during WW2.
