31. stupid heroes
maria ,   italy   (08.20.06)
To every Lebanese citizen who continues to back those policies, allow me to inform you that your days are now numbered. Myself and tens of millions of citizens around the world are going to work hard to actively remove your leaders from any position of power. It is just a little housecleaning to do. We will take care of you anytime soon. If you don’t believe me ; just wait and see.I realize that there are those like Michel Aoun and Fanjieh and many of their supporters who have now changed their position and are strongly pro Syrian and Iranian. Perhaps that switch will be enough for some to support them. For others, like me -- while I'm glad they've seen the light -- their massive error in judgment is, sadly, proof that they are not fit for to be in their positions as leaders. They sided with them, and for that, they may never enter the Promised Land. During the war on Lebanon, they worked like a propaganda machine using the press to seize any opportunity to sell their slogans and speak for people to see that they exist. So dramatic, that those people elected and erected themselves in order to be the defender of the Syrian Iranian interests in the Middle East. and for number 12 i would say , it is very easy in lebanon to say for any freedom fighter that he is a mossad agent, simply they throw everything on israel , because they dont like anyone to oppose hizbubuallah

33. Notice how the Israeli depicted in the cartoon
sk ,   USA   (08.20.06)
is Moshe Dayan. He's the guy who handed the keys to the Temple Mount to the Waqf.
34. IDF
EA ,   USA   (08.20.06)
TD, If IDF used only "5% of its military force", than why are the leaders clearly upset with its results in Lebanon? The truth must be they did use all they had minus the nukes, and lost. There is no other way to explain the frustrations.
35. hereos
EA ,   USA   (08.20.06)
Equating Nasrallah with BinLaden and Arafat is like saying Mother Theresa is like Bush and Olmert. NO comparison.
36. leaders in battles
TD ,   USA   (08.20.06)
How many leaders do the actual fighting? You criticize Nasrallah yet say nothing about Bush or Olmert or any other commanders not getting on the battlefield. Your point is worthless.
37. Guess who ??
Hey ,   UK   (08.20.06)
Come on everyone, war is about winning, the loser is the one that kills more civilians, and the winner is the one that kills more army, can anyone answer me who won ??, in my opinion both are losers. and no no one was hiding behind civilians dont try saying that.
38. Hero worship and the Arab psyche
(08.20.06)
Here are some examples of heroes, since you, Mr. Saeed from Bahrain, and many others like you seem not to understand what the word "hero" refers to: Martin Luther King was a "hero." He brought about positive change in his community through PEACE, UNDERSTANDING, and getting his oppressors to see the righteousness that his people deserved to be treated fairly. Mohatma Ghandi was a "hero." He liberated his country from colonial British rule through NON-VIOLENT protest, wisdom and making his oppressors see the righteousness of his cause. But Nasrallah? Bin Laden? Zarquawi? What have they done for the Muslim community? They spread VIOLENCE, DESTRUCTION, HATRED, LIES AND DEATH and have done nothing positive to change the minds of those he perceives are their people's oppressors. They have not gained anything but more future violence. If the Arabs truly want to improve their lot in the Middle East, they have to learn to admire people who can achieve their goals through the same means used by the true "heroes" mentioned above, who were successful in bringing about positive and permanent change. If the Muslims continue to idolize false, lying, evil men who focus on death, hatred and destruction, then they are unlikely to achieve any of their dreams of peace and freedom from oppression. In short, they are DOOMED.

42. 24 No one is afraid of nASSrallah.
freedom ,   canada   (08.20.06)
Only stupid people would be. He has escaped from a mental institution. Didnt you know that?
43. 26 You are very much welcome to leave my great country.
freedom ,   canada   (08.20.06)
Go move to Nasrallahs pile of rubble. We love freedom in Canada and religious tolerance, Enough be off..
44. 34 After a few days there wasnt much more to bomb.
freedom ,   canada   (08.20.06)
The most important things were destroyed. The country was not awash in lots of infrastructure anyways. Remember it was the christians that rebuilt beirut the last time and the christians did not take a lot of the bombing pain.
45. 41 Hizbullah were classified as civilians
freedom ,   canada   (08.20.06)
They would not have any different markings as like a conventional army. Remember, HIzbullah are cowards they had to blend in with the women and children.
46. To # 23 in all fairness
Lars ,   Finland   (08.20.06)
He did not drop the bombs ... No, he did not. His gang launched Katjushas, whitch are in accordance with regulations is used in large numbers to destroy soft materials (=humans) in large areas like villages and so on. Usually warheads will not be filled with lead shots in ordet to wound more people more seriously. Hizz did so, but they have rigth to do so. , fly the planes that performed the airstrikes or decide to do so. ... No, they did not have fighters. Hizz tried to fly two drones to Israel filled with explosives. But it does not matter Al-Quida borrowed some planes, you see. But they have rigth to do so. Nasrallah is a player, but the blood of Lebanon drips from the hands of Israel.... Yes, he is a player. Nasrallah did not kill anyone in this war. He is a player who plays with other persons life, but he do not care loss of lives. He has rigth to do so. Likewise the blood of Israeli civilians bleed from his backers hands. But they have rigth to do so. If you are asking human rigths, remember, that they belongs to every human beings. In spite of their nationality, religion, sex, politic opinion, age, and so on ... But there are revolutionaries, who are above international laws, because they will bring the magnificent future to the world or at least to M-East. It is a great pity, that they can not do it peacefully. This seems like Russian revolution 1917-1922.
47. 23 Do you support Hizbullah and live in Canada?
freedom ,   canada   (08.20.06)
And whos responsible for the deaths of civilians in Israel from rocket fire.
48. Haifa
(08.21.06)
who destructed Haifa ? Isn't the stupidity of the Americans and the Israelis? Do you think you will ever live in peace? Believe me you will never have peace unless you leave the land for its owners and go back where you came from . It's better for you to go back before its too late
49. Nasrullah
(08.21.06)
Nasrullah is a real hero .Israel is losing and will lose more and more.If you are really human beings , leave the landf for its people . don't be barbarians . youare vagabonds .you deserve mass destruction

who?

JS ,   Montreal, CANADA   (08.21.06)
Ooh. What personal judgement you are passing. The lives and homes of my family and friends have been threatened if not destroyed by this conflict. Blood does not run cheap and one people's blood is not cheaper than another's. None of this violence is justified, nor will it improve the tensions. There is nothing to be won, only lost. Peace.
52. #47

Terrorism and acts of violence against innocent people can not be tolerated and so I can not support Hezbollah or Israel.

54. BROTHERHOOD STANCE CHANGES MUBARAK'S STANCE
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (08.21.06)
As was predicted,President Mubarak U turn about Hizbullahs was as a result of Muslim Brotherhood strong support for the Hizbullahs.Had that not been the case,Mubarak would have still dragged his feet with his Western masters.More will be observed from other Muslim countries in the near future.

Death scares people like u, but people like Hassan NasrAllah love death more than u love living & soon there will be millions like him, then you will know that there is no escape from inevitable destiny: Demolition!
56. #55 : Nasrallah only loves death when
(08.24.06)
it happens to other people. Quit trying to kid yourself. If he loved death so much, then why did he feel the need to hide in the Iranian Embassy (and probably behind his wife's apron) whilst Israel was giving his Hezbollah entity the spanking of its life?
57. #34
Doug ,   Bozeman, USA   (08.29.06)
Actually, that's what happens when you let politicians run a war. If the military would have really been in charge, it would have turned out much different and a whole lot sooner. Lessons learned from Vietnam.
58. #35
Doug ,   Bozeman, USA   (08.29.06)
I think there's more in common than you think.
