3. Arabs don't care about Arabs either
Dani ,   Tel Aviv   (08.23.06)
Contrast that with the Israeli response to our brothers in the north.
4. why so many accident cases in Sinai?
Jon ,   Australia   (08.23.06)
were these real accidents or premeditated homicide on western or Israeli tourists?
5. I know......
Ram ,   London   (08.23.06)
...we have a peace treaty with Egypt and that is good. What I also know is that while Israelis flock to Egypt for all kinds of reasons, including cheap thrills, this is not at all reciprocated by the Egyptians. I also know that the hate by Egyptians towards Jews is palpable. I felt this first hand during stopovers at Cairo airport. Is it not about time Israelis stopped contributing to the Egyptians and risking their lives at the time?
6. why are they even called Israelis?
(08.23.06)
these people, the ones on the holiday, the ones who seem to have things really good under Israel yet take every oppertunity to bash its host and support hizbollah/hamas... Why are these ARAB MOSLEMS called Israeli citizens? they dont respect Israel they dont stand for hatikva they support terror whilst exploiting Israel. Perhaps this accident is a lesson
7. Where is the restraint?
LEE ,   NY, USA   (08.23.06)
I never could understand this phenomenon with going to Egypt. I know its a gorgeous place, but how many terror attacks and "accidents" do we have to experience before we stay away from this unfriendly arab country from where we have had bad experiences from the beginning of our history. The most bizarre thing about this trend that I realized while staying in Israel is that the favorite time for Jews to visit Egypt is actually in Passover. The season wherein we celebrate our liberation and freedom from the Egyptian exile is the time we choose to force ourselves back there. I think its just another symptom of the malady of not being in touch with and not respecting our history nor our G-d. Things have got to start changing.
8. To #6
CJ ,   UK   (08.23.06)
Do not sink to the same depths as the islamic extremists do, claiming that all arabs are this or do that, in the same way that they claim things about all Jews. I happen to know muslim arabs who have served with honour and dedication in Tzahal and have met the family of a bedouin muslim arab Tzahal soldier who was kidnapped and murdered by hisbollah ( and that meeting took place whilst I was on a solidarity tour with Betar). The answer is that these people are citizens of the State of Israel and the very fact that they are shows why Israel is morally vastly superior to the surrounding arab states. Don't let us sink to their standards.
9. Peace with Egypt !!!
Norman   (08.23.06)
Merely a paper. When Egypt will think it can defeat Israel with its arab neighbors forget about Camp David.
10. Egypt took the opportunity to kill Israelis
Arie ,   Afula   (08.23.06)
without firing a shot. They could never pass the opportunity! And like every other muslim, they didn't care that these were arabs!
11. WAS IT A DELIBERATE EGYPTIAN PROTEST?
Arik Sliverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (08.23.06)
Egyptians know the horror stories of Palestinians detained at Israeli checkpoints, and even prevented from going from Gaza to Egypt for medical treatment. Was this a deliberate action in retaliation for what the Palestinians have to go through at checkpoints? It would be interesting to hear why the Egyptians did this.
12. 11-I was waiting for the clown who would spin this on Israel
Tahl ,   Israel   (08.23.06)
1. Jews mistreat Arabs - Israel's fault of course. 2. Arabs mistreat Jews - a retaliation based on Israel's fault. 3. Arabs mistreat Arabs - a collective retaliation upon non-Jews, based on Israel's fault. No matter what happens - even when Arab negligence (or ill will?) kills other Arabs, and Israelis rush to their rescue - you and your like would find a way to spin the fault on Israel. You are such a comedian.
