1. Running Away

I wonder how long Ronnie Bar-On would have stayed at home if Hizbullah rockets were falling all around him. Even now, we are witnessing his "virutal" escape. Instead of working to rebuild the homes and confidence of the Arab citizens, he is deflecting the blame to community leaders. The Arab community leaders may have run away to save their lives, But Ronnie Bar-On is "running" just to save his skin.

what about the haredim i see very few of them serving in the army and most of them are professional students

4. what on earth are Bar-on and Ezra trying to do?
Bruno ,   Haifa   (08.28.06)
Having smashed up Lebanon, they're now trying to sow dissension and raise tensions - and for what - to put a smokescreen over their government's pathetic and thoughtless acts. If we had a President worthy of the name, he should immediately put a halt to this provocative and needless rhetoric.
5. Loyalty
Eileen ,   Ra'anana   (08.28.06)
Effie Eitam supported "settler youths" fight against IDF soliders, and soldier's refusal to take part in the evacuation of the settlements. He is accusing Arab local authorities of not being loyal during the war, while simultaneously preaching desertion and revolt among the settler citizens. What kind of national "loyalty" is he promoting?
6. #2 The Haredim? Of Course, They Took Part in the War
H ,   Jerusalem   (08.28.06)
And that's the Haredim ALL OVER THE WORLD. If not for them, many, many more Jews would have, G-d forbid, perished in this war and all the other wars in Israel. It's their non-stop prayers and Torah studies that the soldiers should be thankful for.

Your statement is rediculous. No Torah study or prayer, however well meant, will ever save a soldier or Israel. If everyone in the country would do as the Haredim we would be run over and killed by the arabs. We need soldiers to fight, not Haredim to pray.
