Holy shit. The Associated Press actually used the word "terrorists" to described the Palestinian kidnappers. It's probably safe to assume that's because fellow journalists were the victims, since slaughtering innocent Israelis only seems to rate the label "militants."

what these people are doing to the image of their religion is beyond me... i remember learning about islam in our high-school after 9/11..yes, they had to teach us so we would be aware that it was a religion of peace not of terrorism.. i think i might need a refresher course because i'm a bit confused again..

Are Mr. Wiig and Mr Centanni going to abide by their "conversion" to Islam? If they don't then they have made total fools of their captors. This could jeopardize any hostage release in the future at the Islaminization thing would be a farce. Also, these two gentlemen stated that they want to continue the story of the "warm hearted" and wonderful Palestinian people. Warm hearted and wonderful people do not kidnap journalists, do not commit bus bomb atrocities, do not kill people as part of their "Jihad" and don’t elect terrorist organizations into government. So if I understand the logic here, converting to the religion of ones captives is enough to trigger release, then perhaps this will revive the practice in the West. Maybe the prisoners in Cuba should convert to Christianity for parole. Maybe, all the Muslim prisoners in the US (the ones the newsmen's captors wanted to free) should be forced to convert to Christianity to gain their release. The sheer lunacy of the logic of the conversion requirement is staggering--the kidnappers demand the release of US Muslim prisoners (guilty of some secular crime) are FORCED to release their own Muslim captives. "You can't hold these newsmen because they are Muslims." These guys are too stupid to be stupid.

And they should be treated as such in Israel.

Listen to all the hard guys out there. You do what you must to survive. After all, the Koran states that no one should be forced to convert to Islam. But we all know that it is a religion of peace. What a friggin' joke! The Palestinians only did themsleves harm with this action.

I doubt if these two are going to be praying to Mecca five times a day. However, I would have liked to have seen some backbone from these two once they were safe. Then again they should have waited a few days or weeks before giving any statment to let their programing wear off a bit.

I remember the Zar-coward "insurgents" took an Italian hostage in Iraq some two or three years ago. He was shot dead but not before he spit in the face of his abductors. He was probably the bravest guy I have read about being abducted by terrorists. I can't blame these Fox guys as survival is survival but this "kind, gentle palestinian people " nonsense is laying it on rather thick. They are terrorist scum and nothing more.

This is a reply to the original comment made: If they had been circumcised by their captors, a) they probably would have a serious staff infection & would be ill in hospital, b) wouldn't have been able to speak, let alone make those fugazi conversions to Islam, c) would've been in too much pain to have walked anywhere or urinated.
