1. Kahane
Choi Davidowitz   (08.29.06)
Just as Rabbi Kahane stated; At least 75% of Arabs in Israel are hostile, and must live their lives out in any one of 21 Arab states. Expel them now before they can harm Jews.

israeli arabs are always so friendly on the street, or in restaurants...i guess i never knew what is in their minds. i wonder what can be done. integrate them more? how can this be done? they go to separate arab schools, etc. i don't know the answer....
4. In the Jewish Museum...........
Bill Pearlman ,   Chicago, USA   (08.29.06)
in NY there is a plaque from a synagogue in Germany with a list of soldiers killed in WW 1. Under the inscription died for the fatherland. Wherever we have been other than Israel we have been a minority. And we've always attempted to prove our patriotism in an almost deperate fashion. TThe Arabs in Israel are aligned with forces that want to destroy the state. And through intelligence gathering in Israel, thorugh their elected representatives, and through their actions and attitudes have made their feelings very clear. They do no contribute to the national defense and are in fact a threat. How many resources go into guarding against this. How many university spots do they take from discharged soldiers? Who in fact pays for them. How much reconsttruction aid are there towns going to get when they were cheering on Hezbollah. They are disloyal and shou;d be treated like the 5th column that they are.
5. Credibiliy of War Reporting
Mitch Shadowitz ,   Boca Raton USA   (08.29.06)
While I would not say that the Israeli reporting was not credible- it was lagging. Especially during the early days of the war, often credible information came through first on the Arab media, then CNN and only later on by Israeli reporting. Of course there are reasons for that- but - it did shake confidence in the timeliness of Israeli reporting.

I agree This is a perfect test book example of why the occupier cannot trust the occupied.
7. What Does The Poll Show
emanon ,   USA   (08.29.06)
About how non-Arab Ilraelis feel about Lebanon and the missles Hizbollah rained on them? Or the forrests Hizbollah set ablaze? These are warcrimes. Dying because Arab leaders made civilains into human shields does not make Israel the war criminal, but rather the leaders of these countries that dupe their people into believing being a human shiled is a good thing are war criminals.
8.  Let them choose
liliane   (08.29.06)
Either live among us and be loyal citizens with duties + rights OR return to their Arab countries and live among their beloved terrorists.
9. Zev, I'll give you the answer.
Khalid   (08.29.06)
All these talkbacks certainly do not sound democratic to me. What is the matter with citizens of a nation opposing that nation's decision to go to war? What is wrong with citizens believing war crimes were committed when Amnesty International made those same claims? This is what democracy is all about, isn't it? You, Zev, even claim that "israeli arabs are always so friendly on the street, or in restaurants." So what exactly is the matter? These are friendly citizens who happen to disagree with Israel's fashion of warfare, does everyone in the country have to love Israel when they kill 1000 civillians? That would be more of a cult than a democracy.
10. ARAB MK Bishara Called SEVERAL TIMES FOR INTIFADA
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.06)
against Israel. The rabid Jew-hate of ethnically cleansing 10,000 Gaza and north Samaria Jews violated Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, broke Israel's Basic Human Rights Law and Clause 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Patriotic Jews, including children, are brutally beaten and jailed. Jewish taxpayers who pay Arab MK Bishara's salary are FORCED to FINANCE TREASON! Arab Israeli MKs who are openly genocidal to Jews and support the violent overthrow of Israel are members of Israel's government! No other nation on earth allows such treason. Will Jews revolt against their forced financing of treason and Arab MK hate incitement to a second holocaust of Jews? From article on the violent Arab Muslim Israeli riots in 2000 'Let's investigate everything' by Yaron London, 10/2/05 http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3150205,00.html The report offers a history of Arab demonstrations and protests that over time have become evermore extreme. The report also mentions several individuals that contributed, through words and through silence, to the progression from legitimate protest into a violent, destructive riot. Leaders of the Islamic Movement, wrote the Or Commission, fanned the flames by accusing Israel of planning to destroy the Islamic holy sites on the Temple Mount, and openly sympathizing with Hizbullah and al-Qaeda. MK Azmi Bishara (National Democratic Assembly) has said the Shiite militia should be a role model for the struggle with Israel, and has called several times for an intifada against Israel. Arab-Israeli leaders should be investigated The Or Commission- including one Arab justice and another member considered an important expert in Arab culture - rejected Bishara's evasive comments, and had this to say about the part Israeli Arab leaders played in the October, 2000 riots: Individuals such as the leaders of the Supreme Israeli Arab Monitoring Committee, the Islamic Movement, and Knesset Members Tibi, Bishara, Dehamshe and Zahalka were full partners to the outbreak of riots in October, 2000, and therefore also bear responsibility for the deaths of 13 of their brethren." The following is part of an article from jerusalempost.com, Sept. 25 2005 'Column One: Israel's disengaged establishment' by Caroline Glick: "...recall what happened five years ago. Following months of increased violence and extremism in the Arab-Israeli sector incited directly by the Palestinian Authority, the Israeli Islamic Movement and the Arab members of Knesset, violent riots seized the Arab sector of Israel in October 2000. During the week of riots, Arab Israelis threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at Israeli civilian cars throughout the country. Israeli motorists were dragged out of their cars on Highway 65 along Wadi Ara and beaten. An Israeli motorist was murdered when Arabs from Jasser a-Zarka threw a rock at his windshield as he drove down the coastal highway..."
11. ARAB MK: 'I ADVISED PA TO KIDNAP SOLDIER'
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.06)
Treason and maliciously endangering IDF soldiers' lives by Arab MKs is allowed in Israel whilst patriotic Jews are punished and jailed and regarded as ENEMIES OF THE STATE. It is urgent that demonstrations are held outside the Knesset and outside Israeli consulates world-wide to protest that Arab MKs are allowed to commit treason - collude with the enemy - repeatedly call for intifada against Israel - and encourage global jihadist religious supremacists to kidnap IDF soldiers. And to protest the persecution and politically-motivated, unjust jailing of Jewish patriots. israelnationalnews.com Arab MK: 'I Advised PA to Kidnap Soldier' Jul 09, '06 / 13 Tammuz 5766 by Hillel Fendel Knesset Member Wasal Taha, corresponding publicly with internet surfers on the Arabic-language IslamOnline site, said he repeatedly advised PA terrorists to battle and kidnap Israeli soldiers. According to a report in Maariv newspaper on Sunday, Taha told surfers on Thursday that he repeatedly advised the PA Arabs to stop shooting and targeting civilians, and to concentrate on IDF targets... http://www.israelnn.com/news.php3?id=106857
12. arabs living in israel
chaim ,   miami usa   (08.29.06)
How much more proof is needed to establish in the thick sculls of the so called Israeli leaders that Arabs in any disguise are still Arabs and do not deserve Israeli citizenship nor any benefits offered by living in Israel if they object to such distinction let them prove they are not “fifth columnists” and deserve to be recognized as Israeli and not a devote of the Arab Cause against Israel The so called intelligentsia have no problem if an Arab advocates the cleansing of all Jews from Arab lands but cry foul if the same is advocated by Jews as being “Racist” By your current criminal leadership You don’t deserve to have a Jewish Israel
13. Israeli Arabs
Leroy F. ,   Fargo ND   (08.29.06)
First of all, the Arab representatives in the Knesset are not loyal citizens of Israel. They always blame Israel and set a poor example for Israeli Arabs. The question is whether the leadership influences the constituency or whether the voters elect people who represent their thoughts. In the US, there are congressmen who are always critical of the US. They come from districts that are generally very left-leaning and are marginal although noisy. Their views do not shape the views of their voters. The voters elect representatives with their views. I'd like to see a poll of Israeli Arabs that questions if they would be willing to fight for Israel if given the chance before deciding that they were loyal or disloyal. Remember, there are Jews, ssuch as Yossi Beilin and his followers who would blame Israel for the recent war.

Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.06)
THE SELF DESTRUCT DOUBLE STANDARD by Yoram Ettinger, January 20, 2006 Illegal Arab construction has become a norm, led by the Palestinian Authority (many PA officials reside in illegal homes), bankrolled by Saudi petrodollars and observed by the wide-closed eyes of Israel. Illegal construction has become an effective means to challenge Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem, to undermine major infrastructure and housing projects in the Negev and Galilee, to limit the freedom/security of Jewish movement along major transportation arteries, to facilitate terrorism and to exacerbate crime. Over 1,000 illegal houses are built annually – by Jerusalem Arabs – since 1997. Only 30-40 are demolished by the authorities. About 10,000 illegal houses are built, annually, by "Green Line" Arabs in the Galilee, Negev, "Triangle", Lod and Ramleh. About 100 are demolished. Since 1967, there has been more Arab residential (largely illegal) construction in Jerusalem than Jewish construction in the capital of the Jewish State. But, Israel is enforcing the law in an iron-fist manner when it comes to a few scores of Jewish houses throughout Judea & Samaria and Hebron (built on a Jewish-registered property, which was ravaged by Arabs in 1929). Legal and governance impotence have characterized Israel's battle against illegal Arab construction, which threatens Israel's sovereignty and the rule of law in Jerusalem and all over the country. Palestinian documents, found at the PLO's "Orient House", highlight illegal construction as a key instrument in the campaign to erode the Jewish character of Jerusalem. According to the documents, the Palestinian Authority (PA) has enticed illegal construction in Jerusalem's Arab neighborhoods of Shoafat, Beit Haninah and A-Zaim, in order to prevent continuity between the Jewish neighborhoods of French Hill and Pisgat Ze'ev, and to avert the unification of Jerusalem and Ma'aleh Adoumim. Illegal construction is raging along Highway 443, the critical road from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, with the aim to transform it into an Arab road, threatening the security of Jewish transportation. While a 1999 Palestinian document anticipated that Israel was determined "to demolish 400-500 illegal houses in Beit Haninah and Shoafat", a 2000 document notified the PA that "no need to worry", since Israel would only demolish a few houses, and illegal construction could proceed with full speed ahead. For instance, illegal construction in the Jerusalem Arab neighborhood of Silwan has been a platform for intensified terrorism and felony. Forging real estate titles has proliferated in the Arab sector, robbing state-owned land as well as privately owned Arab land, fueling extortion, protection, gang-wars and the importation of illegal Arab residents from Hebron and other towns to Jerusalem – a fertile ground for terrorism.
17. Linda : People do not talk about this.
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)
Externally Israel is being attacked by Gaza and the West Bank. In pre 1967 Israel is "silently being attacked". The Israeli Arabs are building homes and are changing an Israeli town into an Arab town. example Lod
18. Defining War Crime
Harissa ,   Argentina   (08.29.06)
Article 147 of the Fourth Geneva Convention defines war crimes as: "Wilful killing, torture or inhuman treatment, including... wilfully causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health, unlawful deportation or transfer or unlawful confinement of a protected person, compelling a protected person to serve in the forces of a hostile power, or wilfully depriving a protected person of the rights of fair and regular trial, ...taking of hostages and extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly."
19. GLOBAL Jihadists BENT on WORLD DOMINATION
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.06)
Lebanon's government colluded with Hizbullah in unprovoked, vicious acts of war against Israel. Lebanese army radars were used to lock in Israeli targets for Hizbullah missile crews. YNETNEWS (08.12.06, 16:52) Siniora accepts deal, praises Hizbullah ...steadfastness of resistance fighters in field was very important,' http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3290107,00.html Islamists lie about the number of civilians wounded and killed. Photo Fraud in Lebanon Aish.com's new movie:http://www.aish.com/movies/JP/PhotoFraud.asp Israel warned Qana residents repeatedly via leaflets and radio to leave the area - 150 rockets were launched from Qana - these rockets killed 18 Israelis and wounded hundreds. Less numbers of Israelis got killed than Lebanese because Israel does not immorally use Israeli civilians as human shields. Israel protected her citizens - over one million Israelis lived for one month in bomb shelters. Israel's third largest city Haifa, was under regular rocket barrage. Iran's guerrilla army Hizbullah rained down over 4,000 rockets on Israeli population centers. The rockets packed with ball bearings to maximize the suffering of Israeli victims. Iran's terrorist army Hizbullah committed war crimes using Lebanese civilians as human shields to protect rocket launching teams - setting up rockets and other weapons in apartment blocks, schools and mosques. Embedded in densely populated civilian areas, Hizbullah despicably shoot from inside mosques, hospitals and schools in south Lebanon. Images show Hizbullah using high-density residential areas to launch rockets: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,,19955774-5007220,00.html Global jihadists Hizbullah's goal is the murder of every Jew on earth. On October 22, 2002 Hizbullah's leader Nasrallah told Lebanon's Daily Star: "If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide." The purpose of the PLO as enshrined in its charter is the destruction of Israel. PLO terrorists were implanted into Israel through Oslo "peace" accords. The Hamas Charter states: "Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims... Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it..." Iran proclaim repeatedly they intend to destroy America and wipe Israel off the map. Iran is dangerously close in achieving nuclear capability to execute their genocidal goal. Hamas and Iran's terrorist army Hizbullah, fully trained and armed with the most advanced sophisticated military equipment fight Iran's war against Israel and the free world. The ultimate goal is the entire world subjugated under Islamist rulers. Surrounded by 22 huge, hostile Arab nations, tiny Israel's battle for survival is a fight for freedom and human rights for all nations.
20. Are only 3% of Israeli Arabs liars?
Alan ,   SA   (08.29.06)
21. I had a dream
Raphael ,   Paris France   (08.29.06)
Just imagine what would happen if jewish citizens of an arab country issued pro zionist statements. Like in Iraq, they would be hung overnight. Meanwhile, all the arab leader had the bright idea to clean ethnically their countries from some 900,000 Jews, from 1948 to 1967, eliminating any would be fifth column, and thus, potential hostages. Yet another double standard with palestinian refugees.
22. Enough with you,
David ,   Beer Sheva   (08.29.06)
Enough, enemies of the state that feeds you; enemies of the people who have broght prosperity to this land; enemies of the political entity that enables you to talk feerly in a way no other country in the region would. I, for one, coming from the left, and for many years hoped for peaceful coexistence between Jews and Arabs in this shared land of ours, have had it with you, a feeling that will translate into thoughts, which, I am sure, will translate into action or lack of action from which you will not benefit, I assure you.
23. linda revera
jj ,   montreal canada   (08.29.06)
Linda, you should realy be a jurnalist or commentator for major news outlets. I realy enjoy your commentaries. You are usualy right on the mark.
24. True Democracy or new age Fascisim
Ibrahim ,   US   (08.29.06)
So do you expect Palestinians to bless the killing of innocent people and using cluster bombs? Should you bless that oh you chosen people? 75% of people surveyed? Does that mean 75% of Arabs in the Zionist state? Taxing Sympathy and pusishing people for how they fee is illegalal and immoral. Or just looking for an excuse to expell Arabs from thier land?
25. Building Arab towns helps Olmert
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)
This helps Olmert from having to withdraw. He will let the Arabs engage and Israel will become dis-engaged. No leader talks about the Israeli Arab threat. It is as dangerous as Hamas but without kassam rockets.
26. #16 Linda
(08.29.06)
Are you serious? Palestinians are building houses on their own land? How dare they? Those evil and scheming Palestinians, I mean hell, why build a house when they can live in a tent or something, right? Or maybe they should just squeeze lots of people into very small houses? Come on now, don't be ridiculous, under international law - which you cite when it fits your arguement - Israel's building of Settlements in the occupied territories is illegal. Palestinians should have full rights to build houses within the 1967 lines without needed permission from the Israeli government - since after all that is their land. Secondly, with Israel's discriminatory regulations it is nearly impossible for Palestinians or Arab Israelis to get building permits. I mean that sounds like a plan to me take over a growing population and then deny them the ability to build more houses. When they do build more houses call it illegal and then you can punish them. Wow, that just sounds to me like a policy that will not foment anger and hatred amongst the Palestinian people. Oh and just for fun you can go into the West Bank and destroy even more Palestinian homes or farms to build the wall that steals more land or Settlements. Linda, please actually THINK about BOTH sides before you write stuff. There's always at least twice as much to a story than what you write.
27. Rest of the World: Arabs commits peace crimes
(08.29.06)
28. #26 Linda is 100% correct
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)
The Israeli Arabs live in huge homes because they have such large families. They own many beautiful homes. I have seen them. They own huge homes and keep on building more homes.
29. The mistakes of Israeli elders
Bennie ,   Jerusalem   (08.29.06)
The naive, inexperienced leaders of the new nation of Israel made the tragic mistake of granting citizenship to Arabs living in Israel. The Jews of Israel will have to confront this grave mistake, either sooner or later. Either Israel will be a Jewish nation, or evolve into just another Arab Moslem colony. Better to confront and correct this mistake now, or be destroyed from within by Arabs later.
30. khalid and Ibrahim
eugenie ,   jerusalem   (08.29.06)
"more of a cult than a democracy" is what is happening in Lebanon, where nobody dares speak their mind freely because they fear the Hezb, or Iran or even Syria. The elderly head of the Jewish community in Iran was dragged to the Iranian (oh so democratic) Parliament and forced to condemn Israel. How's that for Hezbollywood? The fact that Arabs in Israel can answer polls without fearing the "stick" does not seem to fit the terrible, concentration-camp like conditions they claim they endure in the "Zionist entity". In any normal country, what the Arab MK's said and did during this last conflict, would have been considered treason (state of war, remember? you standy by your country or collude with your country's enemies?) and would have earned them at least stiff jail sentences. If not downright death sentences, as mentioned by Raphael. And then again, whoever hates it here so much, is free to up and leave, like you Ibrahim, USA. You left your Arab or Muslim country for the USA. And yes, 26, who would not even sign their name, everybody has to get a permit to build not only a house, but to add a room, or a balcony, or else the City Hall inspectors promptly present you with a demolition order. That has nothing to do with politics. It's city planning. Has any of you, human rights champions, bothered to check the living conditions of the few remaining Jews in Yemen, and what liberties and rights they have? Where exactly can they build a house? Why does the Jordanian law (remember we have signed a peace treaty with the late King Hussein, the peace of Allah onto his noble soul) stipulate a death sentence for any Arab selling land to a Jew? Which brings me to the next question - where exactly is there any land for the Jews, in your opinion? Because everything aound here seems to be Arab land in your opinion. So that leaves us with the sea?
